Leah and the staff are the best, she is more than just a nurse practitioner but a friend, and support. She cares, and listens to your problems to help find a resolution. Everyone is so kind and helpful, wouldn’t go anywhere else.

If I could give zero stars I would. I strongly advise against going to this office. The staff is rude, uncoordinated, and provides inconsistent information.I recently moved to the area and found out I was pregnant. Since I had out of state insurance I went to a clinic to confirm my pregnancy. Once confirmed I got insurance for this state. When I called to make an appointment, they insisted I needed pregnancy confirmation first. After I told them I confirmed with a clinic and the clinic provided an ultrasound, they said that was enough and to bring that in and they scheduled me a month out, claiming I needed to do three appointments in one day. When I asked to spread them out to get in sooner, they refused.A week before my appointment, I called to reschedule because I couldnt arrive at 10:30 AM. They told me it was fine to come at 11:00 AM since the doctor is always late. The next day, they called to say I couldnt come at 11:00 and needed to reschedule. They also questioned my pregnancy confirmation again, despite previously accepting it, and canceled my appointments, which I had waited a month for.To make matters worse, they later told me my deductible would be $3,150, despite my insurance card stating $0 deductible, a $50 copay for specialist and a $3,150 maximum out of pocket which they wanted me to pay upfront. Additionally they didn’t even check my insurance to see if I had met any portion towards that out of pocket max despite them having my insurance information. I was told they would check my insurance the morning of my appointment. The craziest part is they explained that even with my insurance coverage I would be put on a payment plan until delivery, making monthly out of pocket payments. After which they would charge my insurance. This makes no sense and seems like a money grab.Additionally, they promised me Dr. Adams would be my doctor, but then informed me less than a week before my appointment that the doctors rotate every visit, so I wouldnt have a consistent doctor. This lack of communication and consistency is concerning, especially during a first pregnancy. The reception area cant even properly communicate and gives different information every time we speak, so how can I expect the doctors to properly communicate about my treatment and provide continuity of care?The receptionists were rude and condescending, openly speaking poorly about me when they thought I was on hold and saying they were just going to tell me anything about my insurance coverage because they dont know and assumed I wouldnt know either. However, I work in healthcare and deal with insurance every day. They are rude and do not care about you or your baby; they care only about your money and cannot give any consistent information. Save your time, money, and energy, and find a more reliable and compassionate office.

Oh boy. So everyone who goes here raves about it. I will say. The doctor is incredible. She takes every concern to heart and is very very good. The practice however, has managed to mess up my insurance, be less than friendly on the phone, spelled my name incorrectly, and just this week threw out a test sample. They did call and ask if I could come in on a different day about 6 hours after I left the office. Oh the joys of needing an obgyn.

This is an extraordinary OB/Gyn office & gives excellent care to women of all ages.Personally, I am at that age (54) where my energy, metabolism, ability to focus, quality of sleep, etc. had all become problematic.I guess I hadnt noticed how much I was struggling because it creeped up on me slowly, & then I almost accepted that this was what 54 years old was supposed to feel like. NOT TRUE!After discussing this with the practitioner at LSWS & labs performed, I began hormone replacement treatment and I feel so much better in every way! Thank you!!If you become a patient here, you become family.I was recently at the office & I am so impressed by the office space expansion underway; the upcoming addition of in-office mammograms; the addition of so many staff members (where as it seems to be the new-norm for medical offices to be running short-staffed ...sad, but true).LSWS has ADDED more staff including their new business office personnel & business office management & additional medical assistants.Its a wonderful thing to experience this office & the smiling faces of the employees there.There is an upbeat atmosphere at LSWS.Every practitioner there does an excellent job of a personal patient-focused plan of care.I have experienced the care given by each of the practitioners at LSWS & you never feel like just a #.The practitioners & staff get to know you as an individual. You will never feel rushed & you always feel heard & receive excellent, personalized care.The clinical staff & front desk staff are friendly, educated, experienced, & many staff members have been there for years... which speaks highly of LSWS itself.This office is still growing and, I know, to be a patient here is to be well cared for, cared about, & treated like an individual catered to your specific needs.You cant go wrong with Lakeshore Womens Specialists!I have recommended this office to many friends.Thank you LSWS for your excellent care & for getting to know each of your patients individually...so important & great to find!Keep doing what you do!You set the standard of what healthcare should strive to be.

Leaving this review now due to the fact when this occurred I did not want to dwell on negative experiences, especially surrounding my pregnancy and birth. This review is for women seeking a more natural, or specifically unmedicated birth experience and are receiving care from this practice: beware! They do not trust your body to give birth without medical intervention and use fear mongering tactics in an unprofessional manner to project their fears of childbirth onto you.I saw Dr. Givens for a pregnancy confirmation in October of 2023 for my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was an unnecessary induction at 39 weeks which led to a cascade of interventions resulting in a 30 hour long Pitocin induction, botched epidural, 55 second shoulder dystocia, vacuum delivery and 8 day hospital stay for jaundice. Understandably I wanted a different birth experience this time around.Therefore I was also seeking care from a CPM and mentally preparing for an unmedicated, natural birth. Dr. Givens asked me where I planned to deliver and I felt compelled to share with her I wanted to give birth at home. She hastily rejected this idea and went straight into telling me I would have a seizure and kill me and my baby (I have a history of epilepsy but had weaned off my medication due to unfavorable side effects and successfully have been seizure free to this day since 2019 due to lifestyle changes and holistic practices). When I explained this to Dr. Givens she seemed to reject it and went on to fearfully push the idea that I would have another shoulder dystocia likely due to my pelvis (which she’d never diagnosed nor seen a single scan of?) and it would be catastrophic at home and my midwife wouldn’t be able to resolve it. Again, my baby and I would likely die if I chose to give birth at home.At this point I was in visible tears, in front of my 3 year old and she went on to try to guilt trip me for even considering home birth, according to her all because black women historically were refused access to hospital care and forced to give birth at home, frequently experiencing complications and dying. This just felt inappropriate to me. I’d venture to argue black women are subject to discrimination and suffer much higher rates of maternal mortality in hospital settings but I digress. The entire appointment felt very uncomfortable for me and I could sense she in no way shape or form trusted my body to give birth.I of course never went back for any prenatal care from them after this experience and most definitely made the right decision. I went on to have a three hour, from start to finish, physiological, unmedicated birth at home with my midwife and husband in March. With no seizures or dystocias haha! A seamless delivery, water birth on my knees, and I caught my own baby. My daughter is doing beautifully, in the 97th percentile for weight and we were able to establish a beautiful breastfeeding relationship at home with zero disruption. Posting this to emphasize to women your provider MATTERS and if I were to have remained in their care prenatally, I without a doubt wouldn’t have achieved the birth I wanted.If you want a natural birth, I would suggest having a firm birth plan with Lakeshore Women’s or if your insurance allows - going to Natural Beginnings instead.

Dr Rhodes is such a great Dr. She is so personable and asked so many good questions. She makes you feel as ease and cares about your health. Wonderful staff and nursing support. I highly recommend and lucky to have found her.

The physicians and medical assistants are wonderful- patient, compassionate, professional and knowledgeable. After many conversations about issues with the office staff, this practice has made some necessary changes to be more respectful, organized, and efficient. They now have additional folks working in the front-to check people in and out. Everyone signs in on a clipboard now before being checked in - increasing patient privacy, accountability for all (patients and staff), and efficiency. Efficiency with lab work results and insurance/billing issues could be improved.

I cant say enough great things about Dr. Adams!! Besides being very kind he takes the time to actually listen to your concerns and address each one. He is very thorough and explains everything in detail. He does not rush you, dismiss any of your concerns and his bedside manner is top notch. He made me feel extremely relaxed and comfortable throughout my entire exam. I highly recommend Dr. Adams, if you are fortunate enough to be seen by him, as you can imagine he stays pretty booked!

Melissa Ranallo is truly amazing. She listens to her patients concerns and is very thorough. The staff is also amazing. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

Scheduled an appointment for my wife for a pap and pain in abdomen. Told the desk we are paying out of pocket. They didn’t even do a pap or anything with the upper abdomen pain. They charged us close to $500! Absolutely unbelievable. At no point were we told that they charge more than double of what a normal provider charges. Im in disbelief of this highway robberyFor anyone in the same position. The Iredell health department charges $25 for a pap and you can walk in anytime 8-11 or 1-4. Y’all should be ashamed here

Great experience. Dr. Ranallo has a wonderful bedside manner. She is easy to talk to and takes the time to address all your concerns. I would highly recommend her. The office runs efficiently and everyone is very pleasant.

Dr. Guida did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable & at ease during my procedure. My anxiety melted away with her & her staff being supportive & reassuring by my side. Compassionate group at Lakeshore Women’s Specialist .

Leah is the absolute best! I highly recommend. She always listens and makes you feel heard. She treats you like family and is determined to help fix the root of issues vs just masking the problems!!!! So thankful for you Leah!

Dr. Rhodes is by far the best OB/GYN that I have seen. She takes the time to really listen to you, and she is always very detailed in her explanations. She is compassionate and thorough. My only regret is that I did not find her sooner. If you are someone who is struggling with endometriosis or any chronic condition, I highly recommend having her as a doctor!

10/10 experience every time I see Melissa! She listens to what is going on and works to come up with solutions. It is such a stress free experience every time because she makes you feel comfortable! I would and do recommend her to everyone I know!

Poorly managed practice. Renewal services like dysport or filler sub par and heavily overpriced. Botox not offered. Perpetually overbooked and running behind. Office staff is rude and despite multiple requests, you cannot get calls from your actual physician only an assistant. Office manager, Deborah does not appreciate genuine feedback, don’t bother providing it.

Love the facility and the doctors that provide care! Ive seen Dr. Lauri Givens, Melissa Ranallo and Todd Adams and theyve all been so wonderful! The only reason Im giving a 3 star is because my husband and I had issues with billing. We were deciding if we wanted to switch our benefits plan for next year and was trying to reach someone on billing to give us more information on how this would work and were having a hard time finding someone to speak to. Finally we were told they didnt have a billing person at the time and then were told that this clinic wasnt going to accept our insurance next year. We were told we should have gotten a letter which we never did and I dont think we would have even been aware of this if we hadnt been calling to try to speak to someone about insurance/billing ourselves, which would have put us in a really unfortunate place when we would have eventually found out next year. Unfortunately we had to switch providers because of the insurance issue which I was bummed out about since I really did like this particular clinic.

Very disorganized practice ce. Doctor never showed up to my follow up visit after surgery. Would not recommended. Doctor Adams was too busy back and forth to the hospital over at Lake Norman Regional to even see patients that were booked for office visits. Staff did apologize for the inconvenience but of course none of this was their fault.

The whole staff was very friendly, made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Rhodes is professional and knowledgeable. She takes her time, explains all options and listens to you. She answered all my questions. Extremely positive experience

Office is busy and can be some what behind on appointments, but everyone is so friendly and cares about you. Dr. Rhodes is the absolute best!!!! She takes her time even if she is behind and never makes you feel rushed, she truly values you and anything you need!

Dr. Rhodes is hands-down one of the best doctors Ive ever met. And Ive met a lot. She is so kind and takes her time, and really listens. She will make you laugh and make you feel like youre with an old friend. I came to her for help following a post-op procedure with an out of stat specialist and no local Reproductive Endocrinologists would help me with this simple task. She took her time, talked everything over, knowing I was scared and had trauma. She even told me shed be fine with waiting to do the simple post-op procedure until she sent me in medication to calm me. I went ahead with it, and it was so quick and easy, and she made it easier every time. She has had tears in her eyes with me and has given me the best hugs. I cant wait to go back to her for anything I may need!!!

If I could give this office/practice a 0/5 stars, I would. From the beginning of my visits in 2021, I was just a number. Once I started my prenatal visits in October, I was still just a number, only they started to charge me an arm and a leg. I want to preface by saying that I have an advanced degree in the healthcare field, and was still only treated as a number. The two secretaries that work at the front desk are either rude or are not of much help. For my first prenatal visit, the competent/rude secretary handed me a 15-page billing summary of what my plan would look like until I had my baby. No explanation of benefits, I was just expected to read it and be okay with it while multiple other people stood behind me in line. Again, the feeling of just a number resonated early. This is not my first baby, but still, I expected a little more explanation of why I would pay so much upfront with little explanation of cost and no itemized billing. Come to find out, after 2 payments of over $600 every 5 weeks (I have great insurance btw), no labs are covered in this pre-payment method. I was billed 4 times and paid a little over $1,000 for one routine lab draw from Dr. Lauri Givens. This was outrageous, and after multiple calls to the office (still just treated like a number and never got a clear answer as to why it was so expensive), and calls to my insurance, there was nothing I could do. I had a TERRIBLE experience with Dr. Lauri Givens, who after only just shaking her hand, proceeded to give me a 20-minute speech on why I should only eat organic fruits/meat/ and vegetables and how the UK has much better meat products. She went on to say that if I ate any processed food, such as pop tarts, then I would be poisoning my baby. She never once asked me about my actual diet/ exercise, or what my daily life was like. Again, just a number to them. Lets pretend that Im not in the healthcare field for a minute; I wouldnt want my worst enemy to be treated the way that this office treats women. Not to mention being hemorrhaged of medical bills for a completely routine pregnancy with no complications, and not high risk. I switched OBGYNs halfway through my pregnancy, and could not be happier with my care! I also would not want to deliver at Lake Norman.PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! This place is awful and it should be closed. Advocate for yourselves, ladies!

This is a wonderful place! This is my third year and everyone is so kind and professional. I began with a new doctor this time due to my other one retiring. I chose Dr. Jessica Rhodes, what a great experience. We had never met but she took so much time with me, answering my questions and giving advice. She was so kind and so professional. She did not rush me, I felt like I was her only patient that day. I hope she doesnt leave. The whole staff are excellent! I would highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Rhodes is amazing! She took the time to speak with me about my health and had a plan of action for all of my concerns. Nothing was glazed over and she truly takes the stance of caring for the whole person sitting in her chair. Would HIGHLY recommend you schedule with her for your care!

Every employee in the office is polite and friendly. Dr Rhodes is fantastic! It had been a while since my last visit but she recapped everything we had talked about then and answered and new questions I had. She asked me many times if everything made sense and if I had any other questions to make sure I left feeling confident in my visit and future decisions. She gave me timelines of when results would be back and assured me that her team would coordinate with another practice I visit to answer other inquires I had.

I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Guida! She is so authentic and approachable AND she has diagnosed an issue I have been dealing with for years that no one else has ever had an answer for. She is patient, smart and easy to talk to and I wish I had found her years ago.Also: I was called to go in at EXACTLY my appointment time. The staff is also very easy to tall to. Even the scheduler (Stephanie?) is compassionate and thoughtful when she calls to schedule procedures and surgeries.

I cannot say enough good things about the office, staff and Melissa Ranallo. I am greeted with a smile and the care I am given is second to none. Melissa is efficient, takes time to listen to all concerns and always has the best advice and treatment plan. Bedside manner is above and beyond. Love this provider and office.

Dr. Rhodes is absolutely amazing! Even the staff all around is fantastic! I was transfered to this practice when Davis shut down and I have been more than pleased. I have been through a lot and Dr. Rhodes is very genuine, you can tell that she actually cares about what she does and also cares about you as a patient! I am so thankful she is my doctor!

Dr. Rhodes is the best doctor with whom Ive ever spoken. She treats the whole patient and has vast knowledge in her field. Her bedside manner is wonderful! I have been going to Lakeshore Women’s Specialist for a few years. Upon getting pregnant I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Adams. He ended up being on call the day I was induced and he delivered our baby. I could not be happier with his attention to detail, quality of care and thoroughness with all his explanations to my questions. Dr. Adams care was essential during and following birth. With that said, all of the doctors at Lakeshore are wonderful as well. My only complaint is wait time in the office, there were some visits that I waited 2 hours to just be seen.

My wife went here for her pregnancy and really loved the doctors and nurses, however the billing and office manager are awful.We were charged monthly installments of $800 that we were told over and over again would be billed to our insurance/deductible in the following calendar year at the time of delivery. However, Lakeshore decided to terminate their contract with Cigna without telling us, leaving us without coverage for the following year when the baby was due. They continued to collect money from us knowing that we would not have coverage and that the installments they previously told us would apply to next years deductible, would now be applied to the current year deductible and we would have to start back at zero with a new provider for the following year, or pay out of pocket without coverage. We called and left several voicemails with billing with no return phone call, and when we finally spoke to the office manager, she hung up on us. When we finally received a letter from Lakeshore (which we had to ask for) stating that they were terminating their contract with Cigna, they continued to try to convince us to keep coming in and paying installments and that Cigna would offer continuation of coverage for the pregnancy, which was a lie. I called Cigna to ask about this and they stated that their policy is to only offer continuation of coverage for 90 days after termination, which would be before our due date and leave us without coverage for the delivery.While the doctors here are great, the rest of the practice is rude and dishonest.

Dr. Rhodes is fantastic. I am confident in her advice and counsel, she understands women, takes her time to explain things, and covers all the bases! The team there - from front desk to scheduling - top notch, friendly, and efficient!

Dr. Adams is a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable and empathetic.Always personable, always takes his time with me so I feel relaxed.He explains clearly what he is doing and what I should expect.Inspires trust!The nurse is super nice, too.I am really happy with my choice!

I recently underwent hysterectomy with Dr. Adams. He has so much compassion and is very knowledgeable about options. I am so happy that I chose him to be my surgeon and highly recommend him and the entire practice. The front desk staff are very helpful and other practitioners within the practice are very good as well.

I recently switched my OBGYNs office to LakeShore Womens Specialists, and I was blown away! The receptionists, the staff, the nurses, and Dr.Leah Alfino was absolutely the BEST!!! Dr.Leah Alfino is someone I will be recommending to all my friends and family! :) Everyone in the office is so nice, and they are very fast and efficient and take as much time as you need with them! I highly recommend them, and they get an A Plus!

Lakeshore Womens Specialist is hands down one of the best women clinics for women. I am very happy here and would recommend the clinic to anyone. The whole staff is wonderful I love how all the providers from the obgyns, the nurses, to the nurse practitioners are awesome they take the time to actually listen to what is wrong or any issue or concern you have. This is by far the BEST experience Ive ever had at a womens specialist office, and Ive been going to these types of appointments for 20yrs now. The office staff is superb - very friendly and warm but also professional. Dr. Rhodes is absolutely amazing! Youre more than just an appointment on her calendar; she talks to you to get to know you and is so knowledgeable and informative! Ive been raving to every girlfriend since my appointment about how over the moon pleased I am that I found this office!! I cant recommend it and Dr. Rhodes enough!

I heard about Dr Adams over 10 years ago when I first moved to Mooresville. In all that time I have yet to hear a negative comment about his practice. As his patient I can attest to his fantastic bedside manner. His compassion, respect and knowledge always help me to relax and know that I am in good hands. He never rushes through his assessment and he takes time to address the whole person. My Nursing background particularly appreciates his holistic approach to care. Dr Zolzer was absolutely incredible! The very first doctor I ever had who actually listened and cared and provided us with solutions. He was so caring that it saddened me to hear that he was retiring. Since he left, I went on to find a new doctor whom i had the absolute worse experience with. Needless to say, Ive decided to come back to this office mainly because of the amazing experience I had with Dr. Zolzer and not the mention the kindness and professionalism from the front office staff. This is a great office to be apart of, with doctors who care, doctors who you can trust!

Dr. Adams has been amazing to work with over the past few months. He is thorough never making his patients feel as if he is in a rush. He answers all questions with much detail. I felt confident going into my surgery with him as my surgeon because he made me feel comfortable. I knew I was in good hands. I feel like I have finally found the right doctor for me.

Dr. Rhodes is so nice and easy to talk to. She explains things well and not just the what and how but the why, etc. Shes patient and answers any questions you have and doesnt make you feel silly, even if you feel the question might be. The staff is all great. Very friendly and easy-going. As someone who gets anxious about going to the doctor, I cant say enough nice things about this practice.

I absolutely highly recommend Lakeshore Womens Specialists! Dr. Adams is the most knowledgeable and caring physician I have ever met. Even during the most difficult times, you can count on his expertise to get you through it. Ive been seeing him for almost 20 years now and he has always given me the best care and made me feel safe and comfortable with every diagnosis, recommendation and procedure. I am so happy I have someone so trustworthy to help me with medical care.

I have been a patient here for 19 years and counting. I trust them not only with myself, also with my family. We have gone a full circle as they have delivered 3 pregnancies for me. Now my 2nd child is a patient. They have excellent health care for woman.

The nurses were amazing and Dr. Rhoads was amazing and has the best bedside manners. She is intelligent and takes her time with her patients from what I experienced. She is thorough and explains everything in detail. The very best OBGYN Ive ever come across.

Karen Guida has been my absolute favorite. Prior to meeting her I had 5 c-sections. She advised me of most cautions. She wanted me to be prepared for the next steps. She told me she loves a challenge. Those words stuck with me. I knew I wanted her as my doctor. In the operation room when challenges came. She held my hand. Told me to breathe in and out. Relax. Then she directed the staff. I feel she saved my life. She is relatable. Realistic. Straightforward and I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor.

Dr. Guida is a caring, laid back doctor. In addition she is extremely knowledgeable of my concerns and health needs. She recommended multiple options and I feel confident in her practice. My appointment was not rushed and she was very thorough in our conversation. She made me feel very comfortable during my exam and I did not feel self conscious. When I am ready for children, she will be the doctor that I go to! Thank you 😊

Dr. Rhodes is one of the best Obgyns I have met. She is kind , caring and listens to understand. Being pregnant with a chronic illness I found it hard to find a doctor who would listen and not gaslight me or ignore my concerns. I didn’t have to beg for proper care. It was provide from my first appointment. During delivery she was so supportive and reassuring, her calm energy helped me a lot. If you want a doctor that’s easy to connect definitely see her. Post partum i did elected to have my tubes removed, her technique is amazing. My recovery was very minimal. I also addressed postpartum anxiety concerns and she was so kind and helpful and never did i feel any sense of shame from her for how i was starting to feel.

Dr Adams is absolutely wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and attentive. He will thoroughly answer all your questions and spend the time necessary with you.

Dr Jessica Rhodes is awsome. She is understanding, knowledgeable, up to date with ideas and suggestions and extremely relatable. The staff is genuinely friendly, and patience and professional. You feel as if your seeing girlfriends more than a medical appointment. They are confident and competent in medical care, weight loss even a fantastic line of skin care. They truly are specialists in women and our needs. I have been with this practice for years, my Doctor retired and I was really bummed, I was dreading the visit with someone new. Dr. Rhodes IS awesome. She is personable and easy to talk to. Listens and works with me to come up with best solutions. I always have a smile on my face bc I know I am talking to a Dr. who listens, hears me, and cares! I also just had a hysterectomy with Dr. Rhodes and the entire process was seamless, my recovery was easy and amazing, and while I wish I had done it sooner, I am also so glad I waited all these years, so I could go through this with Dr. Rhodes and feel so confident and well taken care of! Great staff, Great Dr’s. Dr. Adams delivered my daughter he is amazing, he’s very informative, compassionate, understanding. I am so happy that he delivered my baby. All of the doctors and NP are amazing they are all helpful. They have great staff including ladies at the front desk, the ultrasound tech Jill, the nurses Karen and Brooke, the MAs, phlebotomist. The whole staff is great, I have never had an issue or a negative experience at this office.

Dr. Adams has been my doc/specialist for a condition I’ve had for 17 years. He’s been my doctor for 15 years. He delivered both of my children and is absolutely wonderful in every way. He’s performed a couple of surgeries on me as well. Everything has always gone fantastic because of the wonderful doctor that he is. He genuinely cares for his patients. Takes his time with each patient and treats you as a person and not a number. He spends as much time that is needed to get the problem solved. I drive a far distance to see him because he’s worth it. I will not see anyone else. Everyone there is great, however, I chose to see Dr. Adams every chance I can. I can’t say enough good things about him. I highly recommend him!!!

This office receptionist agents are amazing , very professional and patient. I love that the facility is clean and decorated very nice. All the initial nurses are very nice and patient as well. But my overall personal experience is rated a 2 , sadly all my initial good experiences were over shadowed by a fairly poor consultation NP Experience, I felt rushed and misunderstood, and the most disappointing experience was not feeling like I trusted the recommended steps that were suggested for my health care. This is sad because the reviews are excellent for this office on Google. I will be transferring to a new primary care facility. Effective immediately. Due to feeling uncomfortable , misunderstood , a bit insulted, and I felt I experienced a condescending discussion with NP. Wish I could have got a different physician 😔.

Dr. Adam’s has been amazing, he is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had! He takes his time and make you feel important! I would highly recommend him! I originally started as a patient of Dr. Adams after he came highly recommended by my sister, and as she stated he was absolutely wonderful. I transitioned to Dr. Guida just over a year ago and the care, concern and professionalism is by far the best I have ever received. The entire practice has been a godsend for me. Best doctors around! Dr. Zolzer is one of my favorite doctors I’ve ever had. He makes you feel comfortable and is informative on any questions. All the doctors here spend time with their patients and answer all questions, without rushing and making you feel like just another number. The front desk girls are rude and awful at communicating. Ghetto attitude and side remarks is unacceptable in any clinical or customer service position. The doctors are great! But they need better front office staff who can great and clearly communicate with manners and grace to patients.I have been an RN in 16yrs and have never such disrespectful ladies as front desk team.

Let me just say that Melissa is by far the best doctor I’ve ever had. She listens, explains, teaches, and cares. I have only seen her twice and I know all of this from our two visits. Would most definitely recommend seeing her for all your needs!

Dr. Adams and Dr. Zolzer are both amazing. I had some complications and delivered at 35 weeks and they were always there to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Dr. Adams delivered my perfect little girl and he truly made me feel as though he not only cared about her well-being, but also mine every step of the way. I hesitate to say anything negative on this review as I don’t want anyone to avoid their practice because of anything I say simply because the two of them are such wonderful humans and doctors, however, I would be lying if I didn’t at least mention that I would not recommend the third OB at their location. I had a terrible experience with her and honestly do not think she is a competent physician or a caring human. With that said, the entire office listened openly about my concerns with her and made accommodations to ensure Dr. Adams delivered despite her being the on call doctor the day I went into labor.I absolutely recommend their practice if you’re seeing Dr. Adams or Dr. Zolzer—I don’t think you’ll find better maternity care than the two of them.

I have been dealing with some issues postpartum and was having an extremely difficult time getting answers and help from my OB. I decided to look elsewhere and stumbled upon Lakeside for a second opinion. I have never felt so heard than at this appointment. Dr.Rhodes took the time with me to listen to every concern I had, investigate, describe her thoughts in detail to me, come up with a plan of action and really helped me understand exactly what was happening. I have been struggling with such anxiety about the issues I’ve been having because I wasn’t being heard and now I truly feel heard. I will definitely be continuing to come here and highly recommend it/Dr.Rhodes for everyone!

I have been to a couple other gynecologists in the area. My favorite had to retire due to cancer then I went to another associate in the practice...big mistake. Luckily I decided to give Dr. Adams a try after a few recommendations and he was nothing short of amazing! He spends a lot of time with you and talks to you like you’re a human being. As someone who has struggled with my weight my whole life, I’ve been brushed off by other doctors and reprimanded. My visit was like a therapy session of sorts it seemed and he seems to genuinely care about his patients and care for their well-being.

Dr.Adams is simply amazing! Im very fortunate to have found such a wonderful and caring Doctor...its like visiting an old dear friend you have seen in a while! Makes me feel very much at ease and he talks to you not at you....his bedside manner is gentle and caring...which is how it should be with doctor..his staff of nurses are wonderful as well cant say enough about all of them!!

Melissa Ranallo has been my doctor since I was about 14 or so. After she moved on from her previous job to Lakeshore Womens Specialists, I followed her because I didnt want to go to anyone else. She is kind, caring, and very informative. She is also very helpful when it comes to cost, since I am without insurance and typically self-pay. She does everything she can to try to keep the visits as helpful and informative as possible for me to get the best care for having to pay out of pocket. She and the entire staff that I have come into contact with are very helpful and kind. My appointment got lost in their system but they were still able to fit me in with me only having to wait about 30 minutes. I have never had a bad experience here. Even when I have to call for a simple question they are quick to return my calls. Thank you Melissa and to the entire Lakeshore Womens staff!

Weight discrimination!I have only been here twice- the first time was wonderful, I met with the PA who seemed very genuine and like she truly wanted to help me with my issues(complicated history of ovarian cysts). She agreed I needed to establish a routine of bi annual ultrasounds with THEM.I came back next week for my ultrasound. I was brought back, weighed & got my vitals taken. The tech then said she’d be right back and left me in the weighing area(which was weird and uncomfortable in itself) for about 20 minutes with no explanation. When she finally came back she told me I would need to go elsewhere for my ultrasound... because I weighed too much for their ultrasound table. And that I should then come back to discuss the results of my ultrasound. I was stunned. I have been in tons of doctors offices, hospitals, etc- and have never ONCE been told I weighed too much for a table. It wasn’t even like they let me get on the table and it didn’t work out. It was no- you can’t use our table. Not to mention they made me come in, wait around for 20 minutes, only to insult me by telling me they couldn’t help me. They wasted my time. But what REALLY infuriated me— I was CHARGED FOR THE VISIT!! $210!!!!! I sent multiple emails and left a voicemail for the office manager and no one has contacted me back! It is absolutely insane that not only do they do this to people(apparently I’m no where near the first person they have done this to), but they have the nerve to charge them! Insane and frankly heartless. Truly unbelievable. Your weight should NOT dictate the care you are able to get and the way that you are treated. I will never return.

Melissa is always so warm and welcoming...she feels more like a girlfriend than your doctor. I highly recommend her! She truly wants to hear how youre doing and will take as much time with you as needed. I never feel rushed and always leave there knowing Im in great hands.

I have NEVER had an OBGYN take about 40 minutes to sit and discuss things with me, calm me down, pull up diagrams, etc. I was nervous because I had a traumatic birth and the OBGYN is a MASSIVE trigger. The nurse was incredible, and Dr. Rhodes! I am so impressed. Not to mention, I’m pretty sure she got down to the bottom of my concerns within that 40 minutes! SO grateful! Recommending to everyone!!

I absolutely can not say enough about this facility and their staff. The facility itself is very clean, warm and inviting. The MDs and their staff are extraordinary. I have been seeing Dr. Adams for 6+ years and I have never been to another Dr. that seems as truly interested in his patients as individuals and not just cases. He genuinely cares about his patients, does not make you feel rushed, informs you thoroughly during your visit or procedure, follows up when he says he will, and listens to you about your concerns and does all he can to help you address them. The birth of my son from the first visit finding out I was pregnant until I gave birth was perfect. I did have some complications arise during my pregnancy and delivery but Dr. Adams was quick and thorough in addressing and taking care of them and the end results was a beautiful, healthy baby boy and I will forever be grateful to Dr. Adams. I have referred many people to Lakeshore, friends and strangers both, and I have not received anything less than wonderful reviews from them on this facility. Yes, you will need to wait some times at this office to see their physicians but that is just proof that these Drs. are well known and liked and that they take the time that each of their patients need and deserve. You do not want to go to a facility where you feel rushed so have courtesy and expect the same treatment for others as well.

Dr. Zolzer is the most trustworthy and favorite doctor Ive ever had. I honestly wish this man could be my doctor for everything. He is so knowledgeable and proficient that I shudder to think about ever having anyone other doctor deliver my babies or help me with my female parts. I dont even live in Mooresville anymore, which means I drive 45-50 minutes to my appointments to see him. He is a straight shooter and does not beat around the bush which is a quality I definitely appreciate. 100% recommend this practice, as Ive seen 3 out of the 4 practitioners and theyre all great.

Dr. Zolzer is fantastic. He takes the time to listen and answers all your questions thoroughly. I never feel rushed or like I’m being a bother even if I have a million questions to ask. He also addresses concerns in an individualized and personal manner so it doesn’t feel like you’re just another patient. Lastly, he’s clearly experienced and well-verses, but can explain complex procedures in an easy-to-understand manner. I would definitely recommend him and the practice (and I already have!)

I’ve been to the same gyno ever since I was in high school. I’ve always had issues w/ severe cramping and it was always brushed off like no big deal and I was told I have ovary cysts. I couldn’t take it anymore so I decided to get a 2nd opinion somewhere new. This place is better than I could have ever imagined. Every person I spoke to or even just saw working they were all smiling and extraordinarily polite. Dr James S was amazing. He was a very good listener, he explained everything to me so I could understand. Now we have a plan and a diagnosis so I can be treated properly. They all seemed like they genuinely care about their patients and that is hard to find. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends.

Every doctor at this practice is amazing! I’ve seen all of them in my past 8 years there. Dr. Adams took care of me when I was pregnant. Dr. Zolzer delivered my baby and took care of me post partum. Both phenomenal and incredibly experienced. You just know that you are in good hands. After baby came I wanted to go back to having a female OBGYN and decided to go with Melissa Ranallo. The culture of caring and customer service has extended throughout the office. She is so good at listening to you, asking questions, and making you feel comfortable. I highly recommend any of the doctors at this practice. You just can’t go wrong.

Dr. Adams is the best. He is incredibly knowledgeable and gives wonderful advice. I have never felt rushed with my appointments. I have been a patient of his for over 15 years. I highly recommend him!

I have been seeing Melissa Ranallo for years even before she came to this practice. Melissa is caring, knowledgeable, takes the time to listen to your concerns , makes you feel comfortable and will not rush you. The office is soothing , the nurses , assistants and office staff are so nice. Could not ask for a better office/ DR.

After Dr. Zolzer retried, I switched over to Dr. Rhodes. She is amazing!! She took time out to get to know me and my medical history and patiently answered all of my questions. She is a great addition to the team!

I just moved here from out of state and they were able to get me in right away. The office staff was really nice. I saw Karen Guida and she was very thorough. She took her time and listened to me (which can’t always be said about doctors), and she made sure I understood everything before leaving.

Dr Adams delivered my son and Dr Zolzer delivered my daughter. Every visit is great and always leave knowing all my questions were answered and never feel rushed. They are very thorough and make you feel at ease no matter the situation! Definitely recommend this office!!

Amazing doctors, I got great prenatal care but the labor & delivery was simply incredible. The nurses were the kindest most helpful group of people, and Dr. Zolzer was funny and very efficient. Highly recommend!

I moved here from Chicagoland and needed to find a new provider. Dr. Guida and the entire staff from reception to lab have been extraordinary since my first phone call to make an appointment. I have had a few instances where I have been in need of more guidance and compassion and I have never once felt as though I was an imposition. Other offices I have felt as though I could not ask the questions I needed because I was taking too much time. In the 4 times Ive been at this office since January, every time I have felt important and well taken care of. I am so grateful that I found this practice and that Dr. Guida specifically was taking new patients. I believe her name is Latoya (so sorry if Im mistaken!) but she drew my blood the other day and it was painless! I didnt feel a thing. She was amazing. Thank you to everyone at this practice for providing such excellent care.

A truly professional and caring staff! I can trust Dr Zolzer and know that he has my best interests in mind. He is an amazing doctor and surgeon. He has always been kind, answered all my questions and allayed any fears or anxiety in different stages of my women’s health over 14 years. I highly recommend Dr Zolzer and his office for his high quality care and keeping the patient and their family first.

Dr Guida is very down to earth and pays attention to your concerns and questions. She paid extra attention to my concerns regarding pain during an in office procedure.I do have one issue with the billing policy that does not allow a payment plan, this is something that I have not experienced elsewhere. This issue has nothing to do with the doctors, but is a policy of the office.

Ive been with Lakeshore Womens Specialists for a little over five years now. The physicians and practice were recommended to me by a friend when we were expecting our oldest daughter and Dr. Zolzer just recently delivered our third child. I have had nothing but positive experiences both during pregnancy and delivery and those annual appointments in between. I could not be happier and recommend this practice to everyone I know in the area. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful.

All 3 of the doctors are incredible in this practice. Dr. Rhodes did my c-section after some tricky health stuff popped up and she has taken incredible care of me since. I cant say enough about how incredible the whole team is here!

I have been going to Dr. Zolzer for exams and a few other issues for awhile since we moved to this area six years ago. He recently retired and I had an appt. with Dr. Adams for the first time for my annual visit. He was just as nice as Dr. Zolzer and spends time with you answering any questions you may have and giving you a thorough exam. I am very happy with the practice.

I found the entire staff to be friendly, inviting and caring and creating a very positive mood. Melissa Ranallo was top notch. She gave me all the time I needed to go over my questions. She gives direct answers. Her treatment was professional yet caring and warm. The exam went as smoothly as it could and was the best possible it could be for an exam. Dr. Todd Adams is the most knowledgeable, with-it, up-to-date physician I know. He brings genuine compassion and voracious reading to his practice. And he cares about his patients and issues so far beyond the practice...making the experience of seeing him memorable.

Melissa provides excellent care. She takes the time to truly understand any issues you are having. She provides thorough explanations and is extremely knowledgeable. I’m always satisfied with the care I get and feel like she has my best interest at heart.

I have not been at this office long, but when I did go the drs always want to find a solution to whatever problem you may have and if that solution does not work they are willing to try something else.

Dr Adams is the most amazing, caring, and sincere doctor . He gives you all his time, explains everything to you in so much detail and truly is all heart and loves what he does. Stumbled onto this practice because they advertise offering concierge medicine and bio identical hormone therapy. Please do not waste your time here if those are the services you seek. Their knowledge of optimizing hormones is rudimentary; you could get a better idea of your wellness by using a hormone assessment quiz online. They dont do any regular follow up, run incomplete blood panels, and never adjust your medication dosage even if you are experiencing side effects. While they may do well with their core practice as OBGYN, this is NOT the place for wellness, bio-identical hormone therapy or specialized service.

Dr Adams has been my doctor for over 17 years and by far is one of the elite physicians in the area. He tells it like it is and then helps find a solution. I have no doubt my 17 yr old son wouldn’t be here today if it hadn’t been for the care I received from Dr Adams & his staff! I would & have recommended Dr Adams to anyone looking for the best!

I had seen Dr Zolzer a few times while working through a miscarriage. While the care I received from him was helpful and appropriate, members of his front office staff desperately need compassion training. It is unfortunate when staff only see patients as a task in their day rather than human beings, often going through difficult times. I will not be returning to this office and I won’t be recommending their care anyone either.

Amazing women! I can not say enough good kind things about her! After years of being told I’m too young or what about you husband. There was none of that, she gave me ALL of my birth control options and we decided on the one best for me. No trying to change my mind or talk we out of it. Just let’s do what makes YOU happy and the most comfortable. Absolutely amazing woman!

I highly recommend Lakeshore Women’s specialists for obstetrics and gynecology. The doctors and entire staff are knowledgeable, kind and friendly including the front desk team, nurses, phlebotomist, and ultrasound technician. One of the best parts of this practice is rotating through obstetrics appoints with all three excellent doctors (Guida, Zolzer, and Adams) and knowing that one of them will deliver your baby. All of these clinicians are through, well researched, and offer solutions to all questions or concerns you may have. Near the end of my pregnancy scheduling allowed that I saw more of Dr Adams and he ended up delivering our baby. I can’t speak highly enough of him. He is a truly compassionate doctor that listens to his patients and makes you feel like a person and not the number one can sometimes feel like in busy medical settings. You never feel rushed or that your question is unwelcome. He is very up to date on research and nutrition and will often make recommendations based on this. He and all the doctors will give recommendations but never force a decision on you. (Note that I had no serious complications meriting any need for a mandated measure to save mine or the baby’s life) We wanted an unmedicated natural birth (I had had one before elsewhere before moving here) and the entire practice was receptive to it, positive, and listened to any concerns Or questions I had regarding any standard practices I may have wanted explained. I hope to have any future children with this practice again and will recommend them to anyone that asks. I will also add that we were very pleased with Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Hospital and their facilities and staff. I have a separate review for them as well.

I love my doctor! I tried a few OB/GYN when I moved down here and did not feel comfortable with any. Dr Zolzer delivered both my children and took care of me during my fertility treatments. All doctors make you feel comfortable and take all the time you need to answer questions.

No one enjoys going to the doctor especially me however this office and staff was AMAZING! The girls were great and Dr. Zolzer was awesome! I was very comfortable and he was very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

My husband and I are expecting our first little one and are in the first trimester. Over the weekend I had experienced a few things that had us worried so we made a same-day appointment on Monday to make sure that all was well. Dr. Adams scheduled an US and met with us after to go over the findings. He answered all of our questions and even offered additional information. He was very thorough and made us feel so much better. Im so glad we made the visit for our own peace of mind. This was my second prenatal visit and as always, the staff, nurses, techs, and doctors made us feel at home.

Dr. Zolzar I would highly recommend to anyone! Hes the first Gynecologist Ive ever been to. Not only does he make you super comfortable, its nice that he has a great sense of humor as well. He answers any questions you have in great detail and makes you feel as if you have all the time in the world to talk to him if need be.

With a history of CFS because many doctors couldnt figure out what was wrong with me Dr. Adams has focused on key areas to improve my wellbeing that no other doctor has brought up. And I have seen 8+ doctors because each person had to be a specialist. Very comprehensive and extremely detailed. Not to mention putting my mind at ease for my pregnancy. I am excited to use this practice for delivery and maintenance afterwards. Wish they could be a GP as well!

The office was nice enough to squeeze me in for a quick apt at 3pm. I waited over an hour to see Dr.Adams. I told him of my infertility issues. He made me feel guilty and that there wasn’t much hope. I expressed that I had a horrible experience at lake Norman regional hospital and want to give birth at another hospital. He told me he only works with that hospital, got snappy, and wished me luck. Pretty much walking out of the room. I cried on my way home and that night. Not the feelings I want from a doctor. I went somewhere else and love my doctor!

I truly hate to be a person having to leave a less than 5 star review anywhere, but Ive been so disappointed and disheartened with the level of care Ive received here. I have been fighting infertility now for over a year and a half. Upon moving to the LKN area, I read great reviews about Lakeshore Womens Specialist, PC and felt encouraged it would be the perfect place to begin taking action and figuring out the root of what is preventing us from getting pregnant. Anytime I have visited in person, the care from those drawing blood, the receptionists and Dr. Ranallo have been fantastic. The problem was in the in-between times. Ive had to do bloodwork 4 different times and each time I have had to reach out to get those results because they have not contacted me. From what I could tell each time, the results were in but because they had not been reviewed, I wasnt able to receive that information. Its been confusing because per phone conversations and in person, I have felt cared for and understood, yet outside of that regarding lab test results, next steps, whether to continue a medication and dosage amount, etc. Ive had to seek that out every. single. time. Trying to conceive is already such a difficult and heartbreaking journey that takes up so much mental space, so having to call them numerous times to know what to do next began making me feel that this was not the place for me. I asked to be referred to a specialist two weeks ago and after reaching back out to Lakeshore Womens Specialists a few days after wondering if I needed to anything further, they assured me I would be hearing from the specialists. I called again today and turns out for some reason those referrals had not been sent over. Again, disappointed and disheartened. This is not the level of care I expect, especially in the vulnerable position my husband and I are in. It seems like most others have had positive experiences and Im glad for that, but ours has been less than pleasing.

I absolutely LOVE Lakeshore women’s specialists! Love Dr Todd Adams extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. The entire staff is amazing to work with. They are always looking out for my best interest.
