It’s crazy how many poor reviews of this place being rude and dropping people after billing their insurances. You don’t see it on google but in the community forums (and yelp) there are many women who have been complaining about the staff and how rude they are. I personally should have done more research, wanted a place with only women doctors so that was the appeal but they always acted as if I was a bother, I never saw or spoke to Dr kang and when I asked they always said she was unavailable they dropped me 2 months before having to give birth leaving me scrambling to find healthcare and they accused me of not caring for my kids because I missed 2 phone appointments they made without my confirmation. Upon explaining this to them they refused to accept it or hear me and blamed me which is why I was told I “didn’t care for my kids” and therefore they were dropping me. You would think a place who takes care of pregnant women would be more compassionate but they just treat you like you’re a bother.
I went recently, and I had a wonderful experience. I have PCOS and I have gained a significant amount of weight and the staff made me feel comfortable and did not make me feel bad about my weight. I also had 1 million questions about what everything looks like on the ultrasound and the technician took time to share everything with me. If I could give them more stars, I would.
What an amazingly serene medical office. I was greeted by friendly staff at sign in. I was surprised to be called so quickly for my exam; thou sitting in the calm waiting area was nice. The medical personnel were kind, caring and attentive. I’m so glad was was referred to this facility. I highly recommend to all women.
I have had nothing but great experiences with selah women’s health! Everyone is so kind and helpful and I feel like I’m getting the best care possible. My doctor is the best I could ask for! This is my first baby so the experience means so much to me! Thank you to all the ladies that work here!
I have been a patient of Dr. Kangs for many years. Even though I have some complicated issues, she has stuck with me and is always patient, compassionate, kind, and never gives up. I really trust her guidance and experience. I also appreciate her caring front desk staff. Im very grateful to be one of her patients.
Amanda was amazing and made me feel so comfortable and answered all my questions. The environment is always calming and comfortable and clean. I love the whole staff. Front desk staff is wonderful.
Took them 2.5 weeks to review a referral with full medical records, just to say they’re at capacity. Plus they don’t call you back but just fax the referring provider. What a caring place. Wasting 3 weeks of pregnancy on whether they have capacity. A computer can figure that out in a day.
I had a great experience with the staff at Selah. They are very knowledgeable and knew exactly what procedure I need that is best for me! I would recommend Selah Women’s Health to anyone! Thank you very much!
Very nice, friendly, and cordial staff. Receptionist was friendly and pleasant. The nurse practitioner I saw took time to listen to my concerns, was very knowledgeable, explained her findings. As a nurse myself I would recommend Selah Women’s health.
I really liked the environment at Selah Womens Health. The facility was beautifully decorated and the staff made me feel welcomed. Nicole was so easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this place!
My experience with Selah is always great! They are kind, caring and professional. Ive already recommended them to friends!
Every provider at Selah I have encountered has been compassionate, caring, personable, and wonderful. I immediately feel comfortable with everyone I experience here. From the office staff, to the medical assistants, to the ultrasound technicians, to the providers, you’re well taken care of. I will choose Selah over and over and over again, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an OBGYN! Thank you, Dr. Kang, for creating such a warm and welcoming practice.
They are the best. After many other doctors could not figure out my problem these wonderful caring women at Selah kept up the testing and they figured it out. GOD BLESS THEM> 10 STARS
I always feel very comfortable and heard when I come to Selah. Ive been going here since my first baby in 2017 and trust them with my womens annual visits and PCOS treatment. They have a wonderful team.
I had a lovely experience from check-in, to visit, to check -out. Each person I encountered made me feel welcomed and relaxed. The Selah staff is professional and provided a positive atmosphere.
I had an amazing experience with the whole team at Selah. All the staff has been wonderful and has explained everything throughout my pregnancy (this was my first pregnancy). A special thank you to Dr. Turner who also got to deliver my son at Mercy! She made me feel heard and valued as a patient and I couldn’t of asked for better care. Dr. Turner went above and beyond during my delivery and provided amazing care throughout my pregnancy!
This place is so calming. Everyone is wonderful and tries to ease fears. They do need to offer light sedation, not just nitrous oxide.
Absolutely love this place. I went 10 weeks thinking that the baby was dead because of other places this place was so kind and gentle with me. I absolutely love them.
Ive had mixed experiences with Selah. The staff has been mostly friendly. They are pretty rigid about their policies. When I discovered I was pregnant in early 2023, I sought them out to be seen. They said in order to be seen I needed to sign a form agreeing that I would do all tests recommended by the Dr and would delivery at Mercy. I said that I wasnt sure yet of everything I wanted. So they said I could not be seen. That rubbed me the wrong way. Its always the patients right to refuse care at any point, and having them fill out a form like that is misleading at best. This pushed me to seek prenatal care elsewhere even though they are my preferred gynecologist office. They also do not allow children in to your appointments. After I had my baby, I needed to bring him with me since he could not take a bottle yet. I called ahead to explain for my first appointment postpartum and the front desk was kind and said it was fine. I brought baby to two more appointments with no issue. I then arrived for an ultrasound appointment and a lady at the front desk who I hadnt met yet said I could not bring baby back with me and that I needed to have someone watch him in the lobby (babys 3 months at this point). I explained I had brought him before with no issue. She could not give me a reason why this appointment was any different. So I was turned away. They need to get all on the same page, I guess. I feel that is a hard policy to place on new mothers and creates a barrier to healthcare which is already a problem for so many women. The care from providers has been fine. Overall, I feel they are rushed and dont have as much time to dialogue as Id like. But Ive had my needs met for the most part so thats what matters. I still choose them over any other gyno in town, mainly because all providers are female and Dr.Kang has a good reputation. Their office is beautiful.
Staff is very friendly and professional! They care about their patients! Would highly recommend them to family & friends!
Very disappointed with the care I had received here. My medical concerns were not addressed and even dismissed as going well, after repeatedly asking for help. I shared I was *considering* transferring care and wanted to know the process of doing so. I signed no paperwork stating a transfer of care. They discharged me without letting me know. I even had an appointment and wasnt aware I was no longer a patient until hours before the appointment was scheduled for because I called them (I had already checked in online and confirmed my appointment).As- Im assuming- a bit of a blip, one of the staff members said they have a lot of patients transfer care out from them...which seems pretty telling.Highly unprofessional and really just lacked empathy and compassion. If you have any amount of risk in your OBGYN care history, I highly suggest looking elsewhere. The staff were rude and the doctors were uncaring.
This place is trash. Theyll reschedule your appointment without notifying you. Making it impossible to get time off work with your partner for what should be a very exciting and magical experience, this place will turn it into a nightmare. Not only that, when you call to ask why theyre moving your appointment, if you are lucky enough to get Nika on the phone she will yell at you. Nika is extremely rude and should not be working in customer service, let alone pregnant people! Im normally not one to write negative reviews, but this was just so alarming I feel like I need to warn other people. Just find somewhere else
I absolutely adore Dr. Turner. Shes amazing. My comfort level is max. She listens to me and explains everything very well. I truly feel that she cares about her patients. Im blessed to be in her care.
I feel fortunate and grateful to have found a highly professional, knowledgeable, and approachable doctor. She made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout the entire appointment. My experience with doctor Turner and her staff was nothing short of impressive. They were incredibly caring, attentive, and friendly.I would highly recommend this gynecologist to anyone in need of exceptional care.
Theyre rude, reschedule you multiple times without confirming, and very unprofessional. Their front desk nicah will actually laugh at your tears. If youre a new mom or even a second time around kind of pregnancy I highly suggest going somewhere else if you wanna feel cared for and actually helped
I appreciated the friendly, professional treatment from each worker encountered, from the Receptionist to the Medical Assistant and the Nurse Practitioner, Nicole Cassedy. This was my first appt with Nicole, but she displays compassion and competence with her at ease demeanor, which, of course, puts me at ease too, in an otherwise uncomfortable situation.
I had a great experience. Dr Kang has delivered all my 4 babies and it’s all been smooth with no issues. The staff is good, I love Leslie, she’s amazing!I do wish we can directly call the office, it’s annoying to have to leave a message every time but they do call back soon and address any questions or concerns I have had.
Great experience!Everyone was patient, friendly and professional. The lovely ladies at the front desk kindly explained how Medicare works (Im new to it,) and it helped to alleviate some of the fear of the unknown. I really appreciate how everyone takes the time to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed.
My experience has been amazing. Everyone is so helpful and kind. I truly feel cared for at Selah.
This entire office staff is truly the nicest medical staff I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. It literally brought me to tears with how kind each and every person there treated me. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I was treated with respect and kindness. I am so so glad I switched to this office. Also - Leslie Pope is an angel! She listened intently to all my questions, provided me with detailed answers and a thorough plan of care. You can tell she truly cares about her patients well-being.
Some words that other OB offices have used to describe Selah’s policies when I told them what happened to me there: “unethical”, “irresponsible” and “appalling”… I have been going to Selah for years for gyno and when I became pregnant I started care with them and booked out several months of appointments. Because I had heard such good things about some other offices for OB care specifically, I sent my medical records to other offices to to meet their doctors. Both times I sent records I told the receptionists I wanted to keep my appts at Selah but I just wanted to make appts with the other doctors. Both times they said that was fine as long as I wrote “continue care” on the form instead of end care or transfer care. Well, I show up to my ultrasound appt I week later and the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered says I’m no longer a patient and that all future appts have been cancelled. At this point I obviously think it’s a mistake but she explains that it’s their policy to automatically drop anyone who sends their records to someone else. Confused, I say I didn’t want to drop selah and that those other offices denied me because I am high risk (twin pregnancy). She says it doesn’t matter and it’s their policy, even though their receptionists didn’t know their own policy when I asked. They said it didn’t matter the receptionists told me I could keep my appts, they were misinformed of their own policies. They never called nor emailed to tell me they dropped me as a patient and cancelled all future appts. They did send a vague letter that made it seem like I dropped them, that I didn’t even receive in the mail until after my ultrasound appt was supposed to be. So I spent the next week going to almost every OB office I could explaining my situation and people were absolutely appalled but no one has room for high risk right now. So I am currently without care in Redding and will have to go to Chico (an hour and a half away) or Davis because of Selah’s unethical policies. Also, no where on the form does it state this “policy.”…My husband called after the cancelled ultrasound appt and asked if I could be taken back as a patient (since no one else can take me in Redding) and the same receptionist called me back saying that in fact Kang said no, they would not take me back as a patient because it was their policy.
Friendly staff even front office secretaries are cheerful they even have a super dog that greets you!!Doctors are caring and knowledgeable
All of the staff are kind and helpful at Selah, I have never had a bad experience.Dr. Turner is the best OBGYN doctor I have ever had, she genuinely cares about her patients and communicates better than any other doctor I have ever had. I have received excellent care for all of my office visits/appointments!
Wonderful staff! Very friendly and accommodating. They make you feel comfortable. Most importantly they are knowledgeable. I love that they remind you of your upcoming appointment so you won’t missed it. I also like the ambience of their office building.
Extremely professional staff, and very kind and caring.Dr. Turner saved my life. 💓
The first thing to state is they are undoubtedly solely concerned about the dollar value of a baby which is as sick and twisted as it gets. Selah employees pretended to care about my opinion till the day of my labor and delivery then I was just another piece of equipment, on the biggest day of my life. I think if you cant consider the birthing parent during such a traumatic time then you shouldve been in a different field. The point is to have the healthiest environment and experience for EVERYONE involved. Real sad.
Had a great experience here, all the way through, from office staff to the doctor. I highly recommend them.
I’m so grateful to God and with the Dr. And the stuff, excellent job also the support I received…. Thank you!!🙏 😊
I went to the smile place office. Heidi is great. Very personable, kind and thorough. I felt comfortable and educated. Also, Kris was able to get me scheduled after having to wait a month for my insurance to be approved (there was an administrative oversight at selah so it had taken much longer than expected).
Just entering into your office and experiencing the atmosphere of the personnel and the comforting surroundings brings me to say that this is a place of genuine caring and professsionalism desired by each woman or man entering the area. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (YHWY) is glorified through your work there and He will continue to be with you and bless you because of your love for Him. Thank you for ministering to me as your patient.Patricia deVeas (a humble child of God.)
I loved my experience at Selah! They were so quick to get me into a room and seen, but they made me feel like they wanted all the info so they could give me the best care, I wasnt just another patient they wanted to get in and out as quick as possible. Dr. Pope is the first doctor who really went over all of my health with me. She made me feel heard and important. I have never had such a thorough look at my health or had my options laid out for me the way she did it. I would absolutely recommend Selahs and am so happy I made the switch!
The staff at Selah are kind and helpful. I have been seen in the office and have used Telemed appointments, and have found both to be easy, timely, and thorough. The office is clean and warm. Leslie Pope is especially wonderful! She really listens and cares. I would definitely recommend Selah to my friends who are considering a new health care provider.
Doctor Kang and her staff are wonderful. I don’t have enough positive things to say. She is compassionate, informative, easy to understand and personable. I’ve never had such a positive experience. I transferred to her office with pregnancy complications, full of anxiety, and she has been a complete blessing. She’s very attentive and takes action right away. The office even offers free educational classes in a group setting for pregnant women and they are amazing! This team is so smart and very in tune with their patients. I would recommend this office over any other in town!
I wasnt going to do this but after a long and thoughtful process I feel that if I heard anyone go through the same issue I went through and someone was either injured or lost their baby, because I didnt say anything then I would feel extremely guilty. I never meet Dr. Kang, the first time meeting was supposed to be the best and wonderful time of my life, having my Baby at a Scheduled C-Section, due to Medical reasons. Dr. Kang refused to provide me a Caesarean due to me not wanting a Blood Transfusion. Now this is due to my hard Beliefs being part Native American and as well as it being a Religious Belief, Dr. Kang flat out told me that she didnt Want to Quote on Quote risk her License for my Beliefs and that Nobody would touch me and risk their License for your Beliefs. She was very unprofessional and was still talking down to me as I was crying and scared that this being my first child that I would loose her. My Medical reason was in my record and Ive known for a very long time that I had to have a Caesarean when I got Pregnant. This Scheduled C-Section was pushed three times that day and if Dr. Kang felt that this was an issue, well the Medical Board agreed that she should have either informed me earlier that day or should have made me write a written statement. Dr. Kang instead degraded me and pushed me to have my Daughter naturally, even made it clear that all the Medical Doctors that I spoke to since I was 18, didnt know anything and her Medical Degree is superior to anyone. I left that day sad and extremely stressed, not knowing if I was going to have her Naturally or if I was going to lose her. In the end I had my Daughter 8 days past her due date, with an Emergency Caesarean, my Daughter was underweight and had skin issues for being in the womb longer than her due date, I wasnt even able to hold my Daughter or nurse her for being over exhausted with my body going through an Induction and an Emergency C-Section. Dr. Kang was wrong and should make this right however she is refusing to accept what she did was wrong and will not give an Apology letter. I hope this in the end will find someone that is or has a Belief about a Medical choice, dont choose someone who clearly doesnt care about your well being or your unborn baby, because if I didnt push to get induced or waited I would have lost my Child. We on the other hand, had a long road and we are finally recovering, but this has now put me to not having a child here in Redding or in this area again for, my pregnancy has been a traumatic and stressful situation.
Lovely staff! I felt extremely comfortable in a vulnerable situation. The providers here are very professional and supportive. :)
My experience here is ALWAYS great! From checking in with the staff at the front desk, to seeing the practitioner, to check out…the whole experience is amazing! The staff is genuinely compassionate, friendly, and well educated! I love Selah and highly recommend others to make their appointments here!
I absolutely loved my appointment with Selah it gave me that warm sitting at home cozy great customer service and Amanda was such a great provider I feel so blessed to have found this place!
The staff is amazing and I always feel heard when coming to be evaluated. The doctors/nurses have great bedside manner and actually take the time to listen to all your concerns alongside address them all.
Experience was pleasant. PA and office staff were very kind. Billing on the other hand. At 20 weeks they run your insurance to tell you what you owe so you can have it paid off before baby is born. I was told I owed nothing. Come to over 2 years after having my child I never received a bill. Then I get a call from a collections agency and now theyre coming after me for it. This after told I owe nothing and never received a bill from them
Everyone I have seen at Selah Womens Health have been very attentive and informative regarding my concerns. Everyone from the front office staff, medical assistants, PAs, FNPs and the doctors are so kind. They make me feel comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great OBGYN Center in Redding, Ca.
It was such a blessing to be referred to Selah Womens Health. From the office staff being so kind, helpful and welcoming, the nurses doing whatever they can to make you feel safe and comfortable to the amazing Doctors who are compassionate, thorough, take the time to listen to your symptoms, concerns and come up with an amazing course of care specific to your needs. They are all there to fight for your well being. Unfortunately, that type of care is so uncommon these days. Dr. Turner, Jaclyn and Caylee definitely have a special place in my heart. I will be forever great full to them for the care and attention they gave to me and my situation. I will recommend this exceptional group of ladies whenever I can.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I came to Selah Women’s Health for a second opinion and I am so grateful I did! Everyone at this office is incredible! Not only do I love their facilities but everyone is kind, warm and attentive! I have asked so many questions and through annual appointments, a pre-opp, post-opp and surgery, all my random questions and concerns have been addressed with so much care! Everyone here also has a sense of humor which I love! Dr. Kang is amazing! Her staff is amazing and I am so happy I found Selah! If you need an OBGYN… look no more! I have referred friends, family and colleagues here now! Thank you to all the staff!
Selah doctors / practitioners really know what theyre doing here. They actually have solutions for womens health issues! I was told by another doctor office I need to go to Sacramento for this kind of healthcare! Im so glad I didnt listen to them!! P.A Leslie Pope is very knowledgeable and helpful! Thank God!!Ive been going now for several weeks and have had relief of some of my plaguing problems! Dr. Kang has got a great team there between herself, Dr.Turner and Molly, and all her staff!
This facility is a huge one star for me. I had a concern regarding the hostility I received from an employee there and brought it up to the doctor and all they said was if I don’t speak to them politely I will be discharged and she didn’t see a problem with her staff speaking to me rudely regarding my concerns for my appointment. I am severely dissatisfied and even though I have been going here for several years I will no longer be returning and will be sealing treatment from another facility. I suggest you all do as well.
I have been going to multiple doctors for about 10 years with reoccurring conditions. I was finally referred to Selah, and I finally feel confident that there is help for my condition. To actually receive compassion on my first visit for my situation was a very heart warming feeling. For the first time I have a group of ladies supporting me not only medically but emotionally. I am very grateful I am in the right place for once ❤️
Great place super friendly and always answer any questions I have promptly
All the nurses are super friendly and helpful and so are the doctors! This is the first time I’ve ever had an OBGYN and she is super awesome and doesn’t make me feel weird about asking questions. Totally recommend if you’re looking for one!
I enjoy the atmosphere of Selah & the staff that took my blood pressure & got me in the room were kind. However this is the second time I’ve gotten the PA, Nicole and I would suggest they give her some training on giving patients a better experience.I had a few minor questions and she honestly felt like she wasn’t even listening or caring about what I was asking. She comes off very cold and uninterested in your questions or concerns.I had to remind her after my breast exam about my questions. She would’ve just left without answering them. She’s done this twice now. My co-worker also had the same experience with her and asks not to see her.Getting a yearly isn’t the most comfortable as it is but her coming off as cold and distant (and she is also a bit rough) doesn’t help.Hope they improve that. I’ll for sure ask not to see her again. I’ve heard the other ladies are wonderful and I hope to experience that if I go back.
I absolutely love Selah and there staff! I had been to multiple specialist before hearing of this place and no one could help me or I got vague answers. After one visit to Selah I had tests being ran, follow up appointment, and just amazing care. Im not one to usually review for doctors offices but I feel like Selah and there staff deserve it! They listened to me when I went in and where proactive about finding answers! After just one year of starting care here, Im pregnant and still receiving amazing care!! Thank you Selah staff!! :)
Really strange experience. This is a beautiful office with nice front office staff in which I waited for well over an hour for my first appointment. They seemed surprised when I mentioned that I thought this was a long time to wait. I had several questions for the doctor regarding my obstetric history and current pregnancy, but she was not there. It sounds like the doctor is not around a lot, because when I asked if I could see her next time they struggled to find me an appointment time. The “provider” (their term) that I did see was sweet, but she couldn’t answer my questions to my satisfaction. She repeatedly asked me if I had a “belief system” of any kind I wanted to share with her even though I repeatedly said no! It was all so odd because I was there for completely routine obstetric care. Maybe I should have known because “Selah” is a reference to the Old Testament. Even so, it’s supposed to be a doctor’s office, and I found it pretty blatant and surprising.Their system of having mothers to be attend group classes sounded interesting at first but unfortunately now I suspect it is just a way to get more women in and out of the office with less personal attention.
Very disappointed with the care I received here. Perhaps the Dr. should look up the definition of the meaning Selah, I had two appointments here. I live 45 mins away from the office and I was given specific instructions to drink 32 oz of water 45 mins to my appointment. I really had to go to the bathroom by the time I got there, I waited for my appointment time, It passed. 20 mins went past my appointment time so I went to the bathroom. This appointment was for my 22 week anatomy scan of my baby. I was called back and right away Dr. Kang said she wouldnt be able to do my ultrasound and we would need to reschedule for next week. My husband and I explained that we live out of the county, We both took time off from work, and it would be a real hardship to have to come back. She did not care. I called and voiced my complaint with staff, They didnt care either. If you like being being treated like a number or just another medical patient this is the office for you. But if require compassion, patience, and understanding from a doctor that is going to be delivering your baby and taking care of you at your most vulnerable this is an easy pass.
I felt very comfortable. Everyone was so nice and the waiting room is so relaxing. I would definitely recommend this facility.
From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of calm. The front staff was prepared and efficient. My appointment was on time. The back office staff was gentle and kind. The NP was funny, calming, and she listened. Coming from a previous experience of alerting my former GYN to issues I was having, and having him answer me that it was all in my head.....I was blown away that she was willing to listen to me and take what I said seriously enough to just get some labs done already. The experience is worth the drive across town for me. I felt validated in my concerns, I felt like they took time and asked the right questions and genuinely cared about my well being. I was not just another patient to them. I would highly recommend them.
I appreciated, very much, being able to get in quickly even though I hadn’t been seen in years. The front office was pleasant and efficient. Being able to complete paperwork online was great, I appreciate the move towards a true paper-less system. NP Pope was vey professional and kind, acknowledging my worst fear and then being able to relieve that fear with a proper diagnosis. I’m very happy with the care provided, thank you!
The office staff were 1,000% phenomenal- always super friendly- they made it easy to schedule appointments, reschedule appointments when I needed, pay my portion etc. They really made me feel welcomed every time I came in! — Rebecca (I think was her name) was especially great at the Smile Place location, as I had to go in twice a week for NST’s the last several weeks of my pregnancy.Only a couple of appointments I had a bit of a wait, but I also understand that the providers care and take their time with other patients, as they did with me— which is a plus!I loved Dr. Kang for the times I got to see her- truthfully, with a fairly traumatic birth with my previous child, I was pretty scared this time around and was hoping to have seen her more than I did but with that being said, I’m also super thankful for her and her knowledge In what she does because around 28 weeks I was diagnosed with Cholestasis and even though it was on the mild side, Dr Kang was on top of it right from the beginning of diagnosis. From what I’ve heard from others and read through research, there are some drs who aren’t super familiar with how to treat Cholestasis and so it made me feel at ease that Dr Kang followed the ACOG’s recommendations for extra monitoring of baby and an early induction...Probably the majority of my appointments were with the NP Jackie, whom I LOVED. She was my favorite provider in the office. She was always friendly, reassuring, quick to listen and answer questions, would take her time each visit and not make me feel rushed, and when I was struggling with some postpartum stuff at one of my follow ups, she was truly the best- so caring and non-judgmental, even though I was an emotional wreck haha.Overall, my experience at Selah was pretty great.
I first came to you when I was pregnant with my 7 year old and from that first day I knew I was blessed and so lucky to have found this amazing place. When I’m there I feel peace and love, and always happy when I leave, knowing I am in the best of hands.
Dr. Kang is the best. She delivered my twins with no complications and we all got to leave the next day! It was an amazing experience and I believe it was because of this excellent team! I could not believe all the effort they put in for me and how comfortable they made me feel. If I have another baby Im definitely going back! Worth the 45 minute drive for the best doctors and staff.
Where do I even begin? From the beginning I have been told incorrect info regarding the mandatory classes, had almost every single appointment I made rescheduled to accommodate their class “needs” and felt completely in the dark my whole first half of my pregnancy. This is not my first child, but because it was my first with them they told me I had no other option but to take the classes. They had no regard for my schedule or the times that worked for me. Every time they would schedule an appointment I would get a call the day before asking to reschedule. They told me it was because not enough people were signed up for the class time that I had chosen.I asked them when my husband and I would be able to see the actual doctor, and they told me not until I’m past 30 weeks and that’s only if doctor isn’t out on an emergency. The PA we have seen has been more than nice but she seems like she could use some training on how to respond to patient questions. We asked her several questions at the first appointment and she didn’t know and didn’t have much confidence in her answers. This office is a complete joke and they don’t care about the needs of their patients. The icing on the cake was when I called them to cancel my future appointments because I had decided to switch doctors, they informed me that they had already canceled my appointments before even speaking to me and before I had even made my decision to leave. Not only do they show they don’t care, but the doctor does not make time to see her patients. You will be stuck with a PA who doesn’t know what she is talking about, an extremely unorganized office, and a huge bill in the end... for what? What a joke.
I have been having issues for a while and have seen many doctors and finally got referred here and for the first time I feel like Im really being listened to and getting the help I need to get better. I have confidence in my doctor and dont hesitate to recommend to anyone who asks or is looking for a doctor. The office staff is also very friendly and very helpful and caring . Thank you
I am always taken care of when I go to selah womens health I tell all my women friends about how great selah womens health has always been to me everyone who works at selah is amazing thank you for always going over and beyond for me I truly appreciate it very much
The staff is very friendly and Dr. Leslie Pope is very respectful and efficient with her procedures. She made sure to explain everything she was doing and made the experience easy and comfortable.
Great experience! Dr.Turner listened to my concerns and gave useful, sincere feedback. Very satisfied with the care and knowledge of both Doctors Turner and Kang. Helpful and kind staff as well.
I really do love Selah. The doctors and staff are so friendly. The only reason I don’t give them five stars is because several of my appointments have been very long and my wait time in both the waiting room and the exam room have been over 30 minutes on a few occasions. I think that because they are so caring they end up spending extra time with patients and then falling behind on their schedule.
I feel I finally found the right place that can help me with my health. Everyone was extremely helpful and very nice.I feel anyone that goes there will leave feeling they are in great hands.
Love Selah Womens Health. Myself and both of my daughters are patients and each time we have an appointment, we are treated with kindness, professionalism and great care! Calming office and patient environment and excellent medical care and expertise. I truly trust them to provide the best care for us. I recommend highly recommend Selah Womens Health!
Leslie I think her name is was amazing, empathetic, and very comforting. She was also knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions and make me feel more comfortable.the front desk girls were also very sweet and welcoming, and efficient.
I found the office staff to be friendly and helpful. My Nurse Practitioner was thorough and well informed. I have always sought out offices that staff women for my gynecologic care and Selah gets 5 stars for doing a fantastic job.
I had my first visit yesterday & already feel a sense of calmness along with hope & success. I wasnt expecting to have a plan, appointments & follow up appointments set already. After seeing 4 other drs to help me figure out whats wrong I feel like this place could be the answers to my prayers & it was only my first of many appointments! Leslie made me feel comfortable even tho I was super nervous!I would recommend this place to anyone!
Selah woman’s clinic is a very good place to go for female issues. Kind and understanding, very thorough. Pleasant atmosphere.
Dr Kang and her staff are absolutely INCREDIBLE! I’ve seen her for 6 years now for my regular paps, an auto immune disorder effecting my bladder, and also for prenatal care. The whole experience from start to end is always so enjoyable, peaceful and informative.
Ive had a good experience from the beginning. I was very pleased with how quickly I was able to get in with my referral. A treatment plan was discussed and followed quickly. Dr Kang is very easy to talk to and she really makes sure you understand what is going on
I contacted this office to make an appointment for my wife. Dr Kang was recommended by my sister in law as she delivered my nephew. I started by asking if they are accepting new patients and I was told yes. I then attempted to give them my wifes info and tell them what she was experiencing. My wife was not present as I was calling from work, so I was told they could not talk to me as it was a HIPAA violation, which is untrue. Its not a HIPAA violation for me to give them my wifes info and schedule an appointment with them for her. But rather than argue with her I just agreed to have my wife call to schedule the appointment. My wife called, English is my wifes second language and she has a thick accent (this is why she asked me to schedule the appointment for her, as I do for all of her appointments), she was asked about her symptoms, then asked her about her insurance and hung up on as soon as she stated our insurance and they didnt answer the phone when she tried to call them back (Ive already checked with our insurance and Selah Womens Health is an in network preferred provider). I submitted an online request for them to call her back and they called about 10 minutes later and told her they dont accept our insurance and they are not accepting new patients. I cant help but suspect prejudice...
I truly liked my visit. The NP Jackie is wonderful. She is understanding and caring. I was treated with the utmost respect by the staff. I am glad I chose Selah as my provider of care.
I’ve been a patient here since my first pregnancy. Dr. Kang and her staff are superb - I can’t recommend them highly enough! Heike Wright is wonderful and compassionate and Nicole Combs seems nice (I’ve only seen her a few times though). They are knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate and do take time to listen. Sometimes you have to ask for it, but they always find a way. Their Mother Gold program is great, especially for first time parents. For those who are expecting their second or beyond, it can be redundant, but the program also seems to have given the providers the luxury of some extra time to spend with their patients. The nurses and office staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to help with scheduling, billing, call-in questions (even calling back after hours) whatever they can. Dr. Kang is AMAZING in the delivery room. My only criticism is that it would be nice to see the delivering Dr (Dr. Kang) more frequently throughout the pregnancy, even if it’s just one additional visit with her somewhere in the middle. You can’t go wrong with Selah Women’s Health!
Quality of care we received was good, but their billing department is a nightmare. Want them to run your insurance? Nope. Want to submit an insurance claim yourself to get credit against your deductible? Good luck. We’ve been going back and forth with them for 5 months to get basic info to submit to our insurance company…
Really disappointed with my experience at Selah. I would give the review 1 star but I did have a good interaction with some of the staff. Some of the receptionist were nice but one or two girls in particular were a little rude. Most nurses were nice. i picked selah when I found out I was pregnant because because they have a reputation for good OB care. They do group prenatal appointments which were okay. Well done and good intentions, they were just a little inconvenient for me because I have a toddler and they don’t want you to bring children to your appointments. But you rarely see the actually OBs/PAs that would be delivering your baby. i could overlook that since the program is newer and they are still working on perfecting it. The reason I’m giving them a bad review though is because when we decided to switch care providers and use a midwife instead selah called me and informed me if i left i would not be welcome back. I was told that dr. Kang takes it personally when her patients leave and that I would be choosing to not come back for OB care or gynecological care indefinitely. I was so taken back! If they actually cared about their patients the attitude should be “you need to go where you feel most comfortable and if you need anything feel free to come back.” They are supposed to be a Christian run clinic so l was just very taken back and disappointed with how it had to end. And unfortunately after trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I learned this was many other patients’ experience too.
Dr. Kang and her team are so helpful, knowledgeable and I enjoyed my experience under their care for my 3rd pregnancy. The offices are so nice and have a peaceful atmosphere. This is definitely a gem of an office and medical team here in Redding.
My daughter needed a surgery which Dr. Kang was to perform at Shasta Regional. At the pre-op at Shasta Regional the nurse was extremely rude, snide, and became irate when my daughter didn’t want to take a Covid test. She refused to give the hospital policy stating because they were not patients and kicked them out. As they were ALREADY leaving, she called security on them which harassed them on the way out. Dr. Kang refused to do this necessary surgery elsewhere after hearing only Shasta Regional’s side that my husband treated the staff poorly. She didn’t bother to talk to us about what happened. Then she proceeded to call social services on us stating we were denying our daughter “emergency surgery” even though all involved said it was not emergency. Thankfully, the social worker was level-headed & called out some major red flags in their accusations & handling of the situation. This caused a great setback in getting our daughter the medical care necessary. Horrible thing to do!
My experience with selah has been outstanding!! Ive been to 2 other Gynos and neither one was for me, but selah was beyond fantastic!! Everyone is so sweet and caring, the doctors are so caring and take the time to explain everything, ask you questions and listen to you and your feelings..plus their very thorough on everything and dont leave anything unchecked..Im beyond happy and completely comfortable! Its hard enough to go through something as I am and to have doctors you feel comfortable with and trust makes the whole thing easier!! Thank you selah!!! #1 in my book! Good bless
So far not super impressed took me weeks to get an appointment then the day of was before a holiday and very rushed. Had tests done and have heard nothing. Its been 3 weeks. Tests should have been back after 1 week. All my calls just get a busy signal and the patient portal is not letting me log in. Hoping by the time my next appointment comes things will be better.
My experience was horrible. A complete was of time, I made an appointment for a Ultrasound due to pelvic pain and a prior CT scan indicating I needed an ultrasound. During my appointment the NP did nothing for me except tell me I needed an ultrasound. Then when I went to make my appoinment for the ultrasound the office wanted it spread out over 3 appointments and 6 weeks before I would get results. I ended up leaving the office in tears with the thought that they expected me to be in pain for 6 weeks before they would give any diagnostic testing. I would not recommend Salahs Women’s health they are just interested in making money instead of treating patients
Very nice, caring office. I especially liked Heike who was very knowledgeable and caring.I do wish each person who talked to me introduced themselves. I had to ask for their names. It would have been warmer had they been friendlier even if it was very busy.
Always happy with my visits with Leslie Pope, FNP-C. Very direct and to the point. Hears my concerns and is willing to come up with a game plan together. I appreciate her as a care provider.
I couldn’t be happier with the care I have received from Selah. Nicole NP is great at listening to concerns and offering answers to any questions I have. My health is taken seriously and things are not overlooked. I would choose them again and again to provide my health care.
Dr. Jennifer Kangs office, Selah Womens Health, refused to see me (they are accepting new patients) because I could not provide them a referral from my VA PCM. I explained, in detail, that my PCM is with the VA because I am a disabled Army Veteran. The VA can only refer out to the Community Care program and Dr. Kangs office is not a Community Care provider. I explained that given these circumstances it is impossible for me to obtain a referral. The scheduler (who was extremely polite) said she spoke to her office manager and they still would not see me. I asked to speak to the office manager and was denied. I asked for the office managers name and was told Im not going to tell you her name. Dr. Kang may be a wonderful doctor but, her policies in this type of situation are sorely lacking. All of this after they already told me last week they would take me as new patient. One star.
Such a calm and peaceful environment at Selah Womens Health. Lesli was wonderful and helped me feel very much at ease and I absolutely Love Dr. Kang! The staff is extremely helpful and kind!
I felt I was listened to, and respected. My Provider (Jaclyn Sabanovich, FNP) was kind, thoughtful, and very realistic. Her MA was efficient and friendly. An excellent first impression, and excellent patient experience.Denise Derk
My name is Betty and I saw Dr. Kang for the first time this week. I was treated like gold from the time I walked in. I appreciate the faith and prayers that were expressed openly for my healing. I really needed this. Thank God there are still Doctors who really care and who give great treatment. Totally Amazing experience.
I did not get to meet Dr. Kang until my very last appt at 38 weeks, up until then I had only met with her PAs. Dr. Kang was not available when I went into labor so another Dr. delivered my baby, the next day we had to wait all day for Dr. Kang to release me. My babies ped had come in first thing in the morning and signed for him to be released however I had to wait for Dr. Kang to sign my papers. She did not show up until 6:30 at night, walked in asked if we wanted to leave & said she would sign the release, she was there for all of 2 minutes. At around 34 weeks, during a prenatal check with a PA I had been given my bill which I was told included prenatal care & delivery. I had paid that in full. My baby is now 4 months old and I have suddenly received a bill for an additional nearly $300 that has been marked 60 days late. Dr. Kangs office has made no effort to call me or contact me by mail previous to sending this your 60 days late bill. I called them to inquire what this bill is for & havent recieved a direct answer.
Typically I would give this a 5 star scoring but this visit was beyond frustrating. I sat for 40 min in the lobby beyond my appt time and when I was taken back I sat for another 15 before the Dr came in. It wasn’t my Dr and there was no apology for the wait or why I wasn’t seeing my Dr. There was obviously something going on that day as others were canceling and rescheduling their appts. It would have been nice if upon check in we were notified of the extended wait times and especially if we were seeing someone unexpected to allow us the opportunity to reschedule or agree someone else was okay.
At the beginning of my pregnancy I called to make an appointment and was told because my due date is in January the office could not see me. Apparently they were only taking 10 births in January. I was a registered patient and was seen by an OB once before. I was very disappointed this office refused to see me and sent me elsewhere to start over as a new patient.
Just had to re-schedule my appointment. The person on the phone who called me back (sorry, dont remember her name), was sooo sweet and helpful. . Another good experience at Selah!
For 2 years I’ve been under the impression that all my records from my previous, retired, physician were what my care was based on, 20+ years, and today found out they never received them. “Communication error” was the explanation, ‘angry’ doesn’t begin to describe what I feel.
All the beautiful ladies hard at work here are so kind and amazing. They never make you feel uncomfortable or silly for even small things you think might be good for them to know. Definitely recommend to anyone searching for a very good gyno/ob.
Dr Kang is very pleasant, as is her staff. She’s an excellent surgeon. She delivered my grandson and is very compassionate and intelligent. Great physician! Dr Kang’s Physian Assistants are top notch. I highly recommend this Ob-Gyn office.
I’ve been a patient at Selah for years.Recently, Terri has completely ruined my experience. I don’t see her in the front office much anymore, but she is surely the one I have to talk to when I call- She is cold hearted these days. I’m expecting my rainbow baby and she has been SO mean.I’m in the process of switching doctors & am so hurt by her actions.
Dr Turner was the kindest doctor I’ve ever seen. She was gentle, empathetic, and professional. Definitely recommend for OB care!
It has always been a good experience. Everyone has a smile, friendly, knowledgeable and my Doctor is always willing to answer my questions and she makes me feel comfortable. Thank you!
The receptionists and PAs have been absolutely oustanding, I would give them a million stars if I could. Ive had severe morning sickness and they have been so patient, kind, and available. Shout out to klelia one of the receptionists (ah Im sorry I dont know if spelling is right ) but she deserves a Wonder woman award.I cant say what a relief it is when Im so uncomfortable, to feel so cared for by my clinic. This place is PURE GOLD.
Caring doctors & staff, through, good follow-up. The portal works well and I found it the best way to get a quick response. They even responded to me ona weekend! So glad I found Selah.
Very disappointed in the service here. I was prescribed medication that is known to, and did, make my infection worse. I had no questions answered while in the office. There is no way to call and talk to a receptionist or anybody at the office. I also was never contacted when test results and prescriptions were available or ready. Unfortunately, I would never recommend Selah to anyone.
Very clean and beautiful office and when I visited it was nicely decorated for the holidays. Everyone that worked there was kind and patient. Received quick call backs and turnarounds with everything. Highly recommend!
This was a blessing to find a group of women who actually understand women’s bodies and emotions as women. If i hadnt of found them my lung could still have been ignored with that little spot. It was there from 2015-2021. I’m the lucky one. I’m blessed.
This was my first visit to Selah and a positive experience. The nurse practitioner was thorough and addressed my concerns. The wait time was minimal. I will continue getting my women’s healthcare from Selah.
None of us enjoy going to our annual..... but Selah made the whole experience comfortable. They are caring, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.
I love the amazing service Selah Clinic offers! they have gone over and beyond to assist me with the highest quality. Will absolutely recommend their professional services.
Always have such great service. The reptionist are the best. Always so friendly and willing to do what they can to best meet our needs. The nurses are always friendly and also do what they can to best meet our needs. And the drs are absolutely amazing and honestly are the best in town
It was very nice and friendly! They made me feel comfortable and they helped talk me through everything that was going on! Dr turner was amazing!
The office is clean, the staff is friendly but Dr. Kang is not a doctor that I would recommend to anyone. Never. If you like her and have a great rapport with her then awesome, but from the countless people I know and what I have seen personally, I would rather go elsewhere.
I always feel welcome when I come here. I have appointments often, so every time I visit they’re friendly and helpful with everything. Very glad I’ve been going here.
The staff is very friendly. They listen to your questions. They make you feel comfortable. The office is very clean and well kept.
This establishment is very modern and aesthetically pleasing and very clean. The care I receive is always very good with friendly staff and physicians. I would recommend this practice for OB/GYN services.
Selah’s the best female group of Dr’s. They all are caring and knowledgeable. I am very impressed with every aspect of their care!
I am speaking on behalf of my wife and the lack of care and compassion this place has shown. Complete joke!! No care for health only the bottom line(dollar). I would recommend as a husband and family man, anyone who cares for their family to avoid this place if at all possible.
Very Blessed to have Doctor Kang in Redding , everyone is so professional and friendly , Doctor Kang, thank you for praying for me and being such a strong women in faith, so blessed to have people like you in the medical field where the power and healing of God needs to be heard of to all those in need.
Dr Turner and ALL the staff at Selah are so compassionate and professional. I will recommend them for sure! 🙂.
Gaslighting and dismissive over a life-threatening condition (PMDD) that they apparently have no experience with. (When I explained some of the symptoms (Google the most severe) I was asked if I needed to go to the hospital in a very condescending tone. Very heartbreaking for a womens health care team. I was hoping for empathy and understanding and knowledge for this very real, life altering, life threatening, extremely debilitating condition. They actually made things worse. Please reference the IAPMD website for more information so hopefully no one else has to go through what I have. Oophorectomy should be considered when all other treatment options have failed. But they wanted to give me the same treatment I already tried for 20 years without success. It should be my choice. I just want to go on record that I did ask twice and was denied this treatment.
I like the doctors, the medical assistants and the receptionists here. Some of the PAs are good and some not so much. My last appointment I had a pap smear and the PA was very rough.
Love Dr Kang! Her office staff is wonderful, helpful and kind. So are her nurses. Highly recommend SELAH womans health.
They create a dr visit for everything. I was forced to schedule a web visit in the middle of pandemic for renewal of prescription, they screwed it up and charged 100.00 for visit. They are way out of touch and very unhelpful.
Coming into Selah feels so comforting, even if Im going in about a problem. Everyone is so warm and inviting and puts you at ease. What a blessing!
After struggling for 3 years to find a doctor that truly listened to me and willing to find out whats wrong, this staff has been literally an answer to prayer. Thank you Selah Womens Health for treating me with compassion and giving me hope again!
Love them no matter what Im going for they are great I always feel like I matter to them and Im not just a number. They care and know you by name. Cant say enough good things about them.
Jaclyn is the absolute best! It’s like having a gyno and therapist in one. She makes the uncomfortable appointments easy.
Dr Kang, took all my fears away, confident, thorough, and caring, thank you for changing my life, I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful confident dr and facility
Jackie takes the time to explain issues with me. She makes me feel very comfortable. She takes Care of the problem immediately
I love Selah! The employees are all so kind and helpful. I trust them and will continue to go to them!
Wonderfully calm and pleasant place. Staff is confident, pleasant and professional. i highly recommend it to all over 65Years old.Rita Stanley
I wish there was a zero star option. No consideration for what people are going through from the front of the office to the back. Save yourself and your beautiful prago wife the headache of dealing with these people
Amazing staff!! From the front staff to the doctors and nurses! Very clean office! Definitely recommend this office for sure!
I love Selah Womens Health, the team there is incredible. Always, making sure I am taken care of and seen as quickly as possible when needed.
Everyone there is really nice and helpful and the Dr answered all questions with understanding and compassion
Office staff was awsome, very happy with Dr. that I saw however, the 45 minute wait time after schedule time not so much.
Highly recommend Selah for any and all female reproductive system needs! They listen and respond quickly.
Everyone is so great, helpful. They make me feel comfortable. They are organize.
A very professional and friendly group.I felt very comfortable at Selah
Great experience. Everyone was kind and made sure I got an appointment when I really needed it.
-000000000 stars. I got referred by my doctor and when I called the doctor denied the referral request and the lady that ai talked to could not tell me why. Thanks for nothing!!!
Medical staff easy to talk to ,good listener’s and informative. I would return.
Excellent care and wonderful staff.
Amazing staff from the front end receptionist to the providers. Everyone is caring, understanding and they provide such a calming atmosphere
I have never had a better gynecological experience then I have had with Selah womens health.

I really like this place. The staff is super friendly and I really like that its just for women.
My provider was wonderful, very professional and knowledgeable.
Love the atmosphere and care in this office. Everyone is friendly, caring and knowledgeable! Highly recommended!
Office was lovely and Dr. Turner was amazing. I would recommend any day.
Amazing service and very friendly staff!! Always a pleasure to have appointments with SELA!
Everyone is so Pleasant and so sweet. I have only been once and I already love the vibe.
Dr. Kang is accomplished, compassionate and adept. Best OB/Gyn!
Such nice staff. I always feel welcomed and like I have a voice.
Friendly, informative and always on time. They show they care.
Waste of time, lack of transparency, and lack of professionalism is how I would describe the staff and the providers I saw at this office.
Very welcoming office. Quiet and relaxing. Very professional staff.
Dr. Turner is the best
Beautiful office. I was seen in time and staff is very kind and professional.
The most kind, caring and understanding Doctors and Staff.
The entire staff is helpful, thorough, and very caring.
By far the best health care providers I have ever had.
Everyone is always so friendly and it makes for a great atmosphere!
Very friendly Great doctor and staff
