The most enjoyable doctor’s appointments I’ve ever had! Tia offers a hybrid of virtual/in-person which is incredibly convenient. All providers I met with were overwhelmingly kind and each one offered the perfect amount of information (not too much, not too little). Scheduling and test results are tech-forward and streamlined. Through Tia, I tried the pharmacy option ‘Capsule’ which delivered my prescription to my door same day. I actually look forward to all my future appointments now that I’ve started receiving my care from Tia!
Tia is the absolute best. Every provider Ive seen has had the best bedside manner Ive experienced. They take the time to really listen to what is going on with your health, dont rush you through appointments & take the time to really explain your care plan. Their facility is also really beautiful and clean. Love this place!
Tia is a scam, stay away!I thought Tia would simplify my access to healthcare, but it does the exact opposite: Tia adds extra hoops to jump through and fees to pay on the way to getting the care I need. Tia describes itself as comprehensive primary care and care for the whole you, but in practice, Tia offers disconnected, bureaucratic care distributed across tons of different providers and representatives, each of whom knows nothing about you.Summary of my experience with Tia:When I moved to NYC, I was interested in Tia primarily because I wanted more information on and testing for PCOS, which prior PCPs have suggested I likely have. I thought Tia’s focus on womens health would make it a great place to dig into this more.- First step: virtual physical with a NP. Main topics we talked about included PCOS concerns (NP recommended a lab panel), mental health (discussed how Ive been taking an SSRI that works well for me since 2018), birth control (not a particularly helpful or nuanced conversation).- Second step: in-person physical. Had essentially the exact same conversations as in the virtual physical, but with a different NP. This second NP agreed I should get the labs done for PCOS and they took a blood sample that day.- A couple months went by. No results on the PCOS labs. I wrote in to ask what the status is.---Tia Rep (not either of the NPs Ive seen): We received notice from Quest that they were unable to process your test due to a lab error. {… provides instructions on how to get labs done again...}Me: Ok, thanks! It definitely wouldve been helpful to get updated on the lab error along with my other results -- Ive been wondering what happened with that test / waiting on the results for a couple of months.Tia Rep: [No reply]---- Later, I ran out of the SSRI I’ve been taking and getting refilled by my PCPs for years. When I asked for a refill, Tia insisted that I need to schedule a mental healthcare appointment in order to get a prescription from Tia. I was frustrated that I would now need to meet with a THIRD NP and pay for an unnecessary appointment, only to rehash the same mental health conversation I’d just had with two other NPs. I pushed back, but Tia insisted, and I was running out of meds.- The day of my mental healthcare appointment, it was cancelled 10 minutes before the appointment was supposed to start. I had to book another appointment with a FOURTH NP in order to get my dwindling medication refilled.- I had a 4 minute long virtual appointment with a (very kind and friendly!) NP in which she asked me which pharmacy to send the prescription to.TBD on what this all will cost me, beyond Tia’s annual fee!
Honestly, the future of health is at Tia! I was extremely surprised by how seamless this process was. Traditional primary care doctors are hard to find, and the process is outdated (Zocdoc, etc.) I signed up for the initial virtual consultation and figured it would be months before I could actually see a doctor… wrong! I was able to get an appointment in one week. I went into the Soho location for my whole health exam, and the staff was super friendly/welcoming, and gave me all the details I needed to prepare for my appointment. Really great system/protocol, I was in and out with labs, routine physical, and a full consultation in ~1 hour. The follow up Care Plan is especially valuable. Being able to coordinate with someone directly via their online chat system is amazing. Looking forward to continuing my health journey with TIA, and I HIGHLY recommend exploring if this option is right for you.
Although I had issues with the digital portal, constantly having to message the “care coordinators” for every little thing, and logging in via phone number…Which was a bit complicated. The actual experience in clinic was amazing! I feel like the staff are unusually attentive and knowledgeable about holistic women’s health. I felt so seen, so heard, so supported. I’m really looking forward to having future appointments here!I am hoping they start hosting events and group soon! That would be so amazing.
My first appointment at Tia over a year ago was very efficient and enjoyable and I truly felt as if my provider cared about my concerns. Fast forward to this year I renewed membership despite it being outside my healthcare coverage. I had an appointment at the end of the day and the NP I saw could not have been more disinterested in my concerns or anything I had to say and asked me the same irrelevant question multiple times. It was very clear he was mentally checked out for the day. I feel more comfortable and get more attentive care at city md honestly. When I received the survey after the appointment I expressed my concern and heard nothing back from the Tia team -which is what it is; however I then received another text survey asking how my follow up from my appointment was. Not only did no one follow up from my appointment no one acknowledge my initial complaint. I again gave a 1 star review with no follow up. Honestly, if I didn’t pay a membership fee and go out of my way to pay out of pocket for “better” care I wouldn’t care but that’s not the premise of this entire practice. The only thing I’ve gotten follow up for is a bill that I was only just sent 5 days ago- making it clear where priorities are.
A SCAM - just like another reviewer said. I only gave a second star because I did end up getting some of the services I needed - just took some teeth pulling….Tia claims they’re supposed to make healthcare easier and comprehensive…this has NOT been my experience. My very first virtual appointment with them I scheduled and blocked the time off from work and no one showed up. They claimed a “system problem.” I’ve now had multiple virtual appointments that are very quick and the only purpose is basically just put you in the clear to book an in-person visit which had zero continuity from with virtual appointment with them, which is why they “recommend” it. You bet they’re charging EVERY one of these appointments to insurance.Following one of the in person appointments, I needed a pre-authorization request sent to my insurance for genetic testing. They said this was submitted - I waited 2 weeks and checked in with them multiple times (via their message center and in person) and they assured me it was submitted and they hadn’t heard back. Called insurance….no record of the pre-authorization request to be found. On a second pre-authorization request I needed, I made sure they knew of my previous struggle and I followed up many times to have it submitted ASAP and it still took them a week just the submit the request. Finally, they have a 10-minute grace period rule for all appointments. I was running late to my acupuncture appointment and called from the upper east side to ask if I should still come down to soho for the appointment and they said yes and simply reminded me of the grace period. I showed up within the 10 minute grace period, and checked in with them at the 11th minute (had to wait for their elevator) and they would not take me for the appointment. And THEN told me I could try to dispute the cancellation fee for the appointment through their care portal. The audacity…where was the ‘credit’ for their absolute no-show on my very first appointment with them?!There are an handful other complaints I could share as well - but the TLDR is that Tia is a scam overcharging to insurance for pointless appointments and cancellation fees, and have certainly not made my access to healthcare any easier. I wish I had read the other reviews before paying for membership. Not sure if it’s just because it’s early days for Tia, and I want to give the benefit of the doubt, but damn do they need to get their sh*t together. Feel like this could be the next main character of a Netflix special scamming people for money and insurance fraud or something….
I love Tia! I’ve been going to them since 2021 and recommend them to all my friends. The providers are kind and take the time to get to know your case and hear all your concerns. I’ve never felt a concern of mine was dismissed or felt like it wasn’t worth mentioning. I’ve had a series of medical procedures done there - from acupuncture to routine examinations - and they’ve always walked me through the process and detailed exactly what to expect, which I have yet to experience elsewhere. The one caveat is that I have yet to see a doctor. It’s been mostly nurse practitioners (all of who are very qualified!) but if you’re looking for a dedicated 1 on 1 relationship with a doctor it may not be the right fit.But really, just look at their installations! Going to your checkup has rarely been so pleasant in my opinion.Update: knocked off a star and removed comment about availability because appointments have become really hard to get lately. If I’m paying an extra membership fee I would hope they be more readily available.
Terrible customer service. I booked an appointment weeks in advance. I live 2 hours away, but wanted to join Tia because I’ve had several negative experiences with doctors and thought this would be different. I took the day off from work, bought a train ticket, and was on my way into the city when I got a call that my appointment was cancelled. They couldn’t squeeze me in with another provider that day, and the next appointment wasn’t for several weeks. The best they could do was put me on a waitlist. Unhelpful, frustrating, disappointing. I’d expect more from a service that I had to pay into.
I really like all of the providers and the entire team! I’ve been a Tia member for probably 5 years now. The office feels clean new and chic and it’s a one stop health shop
Do not waste your money or time. This is the most unprofessional, insensitive staff and doctor I have ever been too. If I could give them negative stars I would. I never write reviews so for me to come on here and complain is a big deal.Health and health scares are not something that should be taken lightly and I have felt completely dismissed by my providers and the staff here. They are unresponsive to messages (days and days), and do not communicate when things go wrong.I have been dealing with health scare for 2 months (you can assume the worst) and not only have they been very lax about it, they have been super disorganized. They messed up my bloodwork, then had to redo it at a different location who did not receive proper instructions from Tia and thought they were testing meFor something different.Tried to get an ultrasound appointment with them - despite the urgency none were available for weeks. So again- I had to go elsewhere to do this. After the facility sent in my results, Tia was missing some info and did not do their best to get it from the facility despite me providing them with all the necessary info. Instead, they recommended I come in for an in person appointment and then additional ultrasound appointment (which would take another couple weeks to schedule). They sent me a link to schedule an appointment that only had virtual options. Again- I had to message them which took 3 days for them to reply to send me a proper link for in an in person consult. THEN, they cancelled my appointment, asked me to reschedule which I did for the day after. The appointment was at 3 pm and I got there at 3:11- I called them prior to let them know I was on my way and stuck in traffic. When I got there, they told me they could not see me and would be charging me a fee. It has been months of back and forth with them and this post doesn’t even begin to cover what they have put me through. After weeks of asking for my bloodwork results I finally got an answer but unfortunately never got my ultrasound at Tia or the results explained to me from the one I did get elsewhere.I left in tears today requesting they cancel my membership. Stay away- they are a joke and do not take women’s health seriously despite all of their advertising.
Tia wellness is nothing short of a pyramid scheme. Annual fees that result in limited scheduling options. I had an annual appt that was cancelled 6 times and moved over the course of 5 months. To refill a prescription they require you to book an appt (that is often cancelled) and pay each time as they refuse to fill a prescription that lasts over 60 days. I’ve been with primary care doctors that will give prescriptions w a year of refills. Also to get into contact w a provider you have to message and wait 5 days on average, and they don’t offer replies in their portals so you have to start new messages each time to reply. In person, they switch doctors on you with no heads up and I have often felt judged and not cared for in each appt. When I went to cancel my membership after over 2 years they delayed my cancellation by 2 months and kept charging me. Then they offered a free year and when I message to use it they asked to charge my card. Fraud all around
The team at Tia always makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I really appreciate my provider, Emery, for always taking her time and never rushing. Tia truly cares about their patients.
Great staff but ultimately a business (not healthcare) model full of glitches.Tia sold me an expensive package and then made it impossible to redeem. On or around 2019 I was pressured to buy an acupuncture package from an acupuncturist at Tia to save money. She urged me to buy four sessions upfront for approximately $600. I was able to attend one session in the package (I believe I booked it in the office before I left)and then covid happened and due to the lockdown I paused seeking said treatments. After the covid lockdown let up I tried to schedule another appointment. Unfortunately, Tia requires all scheduling to be done through their portal which requires an upfront payment for the acupuncture session and did not have any selection to difficulty able to schedule a second appointment, however while in route the session was cancelled because the practitioner called out. Over the years I have tried to schedule my remaining three sessions with Tia admins sometimes saying they do not see my purchase in the system and the portal not providing any option to select if you have already paid for a session. Finally I took ascreenshot of an exchange where Tia acknowledged the pending sessions and they finally acknowledged them but advised that my packages has now expired with no offer for a coupon or even a credit to compensate for the expensive package I purchased and tried over and over over the past several years top use. I would like a refund for the sessions I was able to redeem, a voucher or credit. I would also like Tia to fix their portal so that other patients are no similarly taken advantage of.NY recently passed legislation regarding the expiration of gift certificates which may be applicable here. In any event, do not let some lady (even if she is cool and has an asymmetrical haircut) pressure you into buying an expensive package only to make it impossible to redeem.
Actual doctor was fine and the office is nice, but the experience overall is absolutely terrible. Im hesitant to call it a scam, but...Their marketing is all a lie. Its supposed to be comprehensive healthcare for women, but its not. Tia adds extra hoops to jump through and fees to pay at every step of the way. The appointments are distributed across tons of different providers and representatives, each of whom knows nothing about you.On top of the actual ridiculous billing (charging you for all 3 steps of the annual exam separately, even though insurance only covers 1), they will send you random bills. Ive gotten bills that dont match any of the appointments I had or that do match appointments, but have already been paid and they force you to send the insurance proof of payment over and over again. Even if you cancel your membership and havent been there in over a year....still trying to get me to pay random bills.
Dr. Moritz is the best doctor I have had a consultation. He made me feel , safe , listened and well taken care of. I want to book him for life. He is honest and such an example of a reliable profesional.
This location of Tia failed to prep me on what I needed for my procedure. On top of that, the doctor was running late and they tried to say it was because of me when she wouldn’t have seen me at our given time (not even half an hour later, that’s how behind she was) regardless of my reasoning. The front desk staff could learn to be friendlier with patients who are anxious going into a medical setting for a procedure. The Williamsburg location will always hold a place in my heart.
EDIT: i removed 2 stars from the review because their follow-up was not good. My symptoms didn’t disappear and i needed assistance. It was a long back-and-forth conversations with their care team online (never the same person) and finally when they decided i should see my provider again, there was no availability that matched mine, so I decided to go to a different doctor. The idea of Tia is great, but in reality, not very feasable.I’m rating it 4/5 stars because i feel like they should have at least an app to deal with the “whole you” part of it. But let’s rate the rest of the experience:I decided to join Tia after i felt not cared for by my current GYN with an issue i’ve been having. I felt always rushed and not listened to, always heard “keep doing what i said and symptoms will go away” when in reality they don’t.Seeing a doctor without insurance at Tia is more expensive than what I pay now but i thought of giving it a shot anyways. So I decided to join and book an appointment and for my surprise there was one for the next day! So I booked it and went.It was the BEST experience i’ve had with a doctor BY FAR. The waiting room is trendy and the whole interior design makes you feel comfortable - tip for all other clinics out there! When it came to see the provider, she took her time to listen to my whole story, since i was coming for a second opinion on my issue. She did the exam, went out of her way to diagnose me and was sooooo nice that i actually cried for feeling listened to!Now i’m waiting to get the prescription and hoping my issue will be resolved! But overall, Tia has totally won me over!PS: I took a complimentary drink on my way out of the clinic feeling sooo happy i decided to take this chance!
I have been a member with Tia for 2 years. My first in-person experience at the Williamsburg clinic was great which made me want to continue with the membership for another year. My virtual visit with the NP was not that great. I felt as though I was a bother to her.Last December, I went for my annual visit and was basically told by the provider that she wont be doing the pap as they have assumed they have been over testing. Seeing that I had a negative pap the year before there was no need for me to do it. This left me wondering what was the point of this visit and a membership. Is it for me to get a complimentary drink, wear a nice rob and cute socks?Fast forward to my current experience where I have been attempting to get disability paperwork completed for me to be excused from work due to an injury. I attended my appointment on June 6th. My experience with the provider was good. He told me that it would take 5-7 business days to complete a 2 page form that we reviewed together during my visit. On June 10th I received follow-up from my job requesting for the paperwork to be submitted by June 13th otherwise my case would be closed. I reached to to Tia and my provider via phone call and through the chat portal. The response to my messages and urgency did not seem to connect with them. The 13th came and no paperwork was submitted and as a result my case was closed. I had to schedule another in-person (June 17th) visit for the provider to sit with me to complete the paperwork then and there.I notified my job that the paperwork was completed and should be faxed over by that afternoon. I was then informed that a simple email needed to be sent. I noticed the clinic via the same chat that I used earlier that day to upload the form that needed to be completed, to share the need for an email to be sent. I also apologized for not mentioning this during my visit as I didnt not know this was needed.I checked my chat messages this afternoon as I noticed I have not received a response from Tia. The chat with my request has been closed and there has been no follow-up with me or my job.Tia, is a good concept. I think the area that needs tremendous improvement is communication between patient, care team and providers. I do not think it is worth the membership if you have to go through all of this trouble just to hear back from someone, especially in time sensitive moment like Im experiencing.
It was all good until I got the bill.I asked them multiple times about if they are in network for my insurance united healthcare, they always say yes. And I did a bunch of visits since Dec 7. And now they finally send me the bills dated in Dec 7. They are all out of network. The annual check up bills me for 250. And I have been contacting them in phone and messages for 3 days with no reply. And they already automatically charged my credit card. And for the problem I want to solve they just send me to multiple tests but nothing was found the problem persists without any clues how to solve it.if I can give it negative score I will give. See their score is 3.4 because their employee and friends made a few fake 5 stars. But indeed u get the worst service possible.
Healthcare with empathy? Huge. This was my first in person visit with Tia and I loved it!I did end up being seen 30 mins after schedule, but i honestly didn’t mind at all. 1) That usually happens at doctors offices 2) when I was seen, my provider was attentive and communicative and 3) the space was so comfortable I was happy to have some quiet moments alone while I waited. Can’t recommend it enough! All of the things they do are small, but they’re consistent. It makes a world of difference
The offices are beautiful and calming, and the staff are very friendly. The care coordinators respond immediately through the portal. My only issues have been with the online portal itself which lost a set of my appointment notes, showing I never had a visit, and said that I cancelled two appointments that I never even had scheduled. Other than the online system, everything has been excellent and the team has been knowledgeable and welcoming. Love the book selection in the waiting room as well!
Another update!Scheduled an appt in October. Same day as the appointment they let me know no provider would be available or to see me. Three strikes and you’re out!I fond it hysterical that adds are popping up in instagram to have people pay monthly memberships to not be seen!! This place is DISGUSTING! Don’t bother booking here.Update: I came in for a 9:50 appt at 9:40. The person that came in after me was taken first. This mistake was acknowledged by staff. This was already annoying. I get into the exam room at 10:05 and at 10:32 was still not seen by the provider so I got up and left.I was promised a call from the manager. No call was received. Not shocked!!This place used to be really good. I am sad that it has decayed to its current just another number state.Your patients are not cattle! We are people and should be respected and treated as such. This place was doing great work for a long period of time until I tried to do go for an ultrasound. The first appointment was canceled the day of said appointment and the second was rescheduled from 5pm to 7pm without my knowledge the day of my appointment. There “solutions” included a 7pm tonight, me coming in at five and seeing when the ultrasonography could “see me when she could see me” or I could reschedule for an earlier appointment tomorrow which is impossible because I have a job. It’s been more than two months since the order was created, but I guess I will just wait another 2w to a month to get in with NYU as at least I know they won’t unprofessionally cancel.
I LOVE Tia! I have never felt so well taken care of before. They focus on preventative and wholistic care, and it is opening my eyes to ways that I could have been better maintaining my health. I always feel safe and supported here. Thank you Tia!!!!
I am so livid at the level of service here, if I could give 0 stars, I would. The staff members I dealt with and provider were beyond unhelpful and very difficult. I really wanted this to be my clinic but it’s such a shame, after the stress to find an appointment that remotely works and a hellish commute they punish the patients because the provider is running late.
My experience with Tia was worse than other practices in the city that are not paid. I was assigned to see a random doctor without say at each visit and never saw the same doctor twice. I only found out from a surprise bill received 9 months after my visits that the doctors that saw me were out of network with my insurance even though I provided all of my insurance information and confirmed Tia accepts my insurance. The surprise bill received 9 months later was set to automatically charge my card on file 8 days after receiving it, leaving me little time to discuss it with the Tia team given their 1-2 business day response time. Needless to say I cancelled my membership after 1 year and it was a big waste of money.
They fail in their attempt to provide “integrated care” - you schedule very specific types of appointments (joint pain, skin changes, etc) and providers will rarely be able to discuss other problems. You have to call or message to schedule a general appointment, rather than using their booking system. Overall, care and expertise are siloed and make this experience even less integrated.Edited: the (likely intended) consequence of this siloed healthcare means that you have to make multiple appointments to discuss problems that may indeed be related. This means more copays. I had to schedule two separate appointments with the same provider on the same day to address my concerns.
First timer at Tia today and had a great experience!! Since April, I have been feeling off and have been chasing answers non stop. After months of seeing other doctors and feeling extremely dismissed, disheartened and discouraged, I actually felt super emotional during my visit with Tia because for the first time I felt heard, my questions were answered thoroughly and there was a clear path of action for my health moving forward. Sara Franco who was my provider took her time and was extremely patient and knowledgeable with me, I really appreciate her bed side manner and care.It felt so relieving to be heard and seen, especially after going through the wringer with other doctors. I truly appreciate the Tia team and will be coming back here!
Have been to three of the Tia Clinics and theyre all great but Tia Soho is my favorite of the 3. Really accessible location, large waiting room and visit rooms, and the front desk and clinical staff are all really friendly and patient. Ive always had a positive experience during my visits and highly recommend them/Tia overall. Tia is particularly great because the providers really listening and take any/all concerns seriously unlike some providers I have had in the past. Definitely worth the membership fee!
You’re telling me there’s a membership fee that I have to subscribe and pay monthly before I can receive healthcare? NO! I’ve paid and subscribed to my health insurance which I’m entitled to seek health care at this point. I’m not paying a monthly or annual membership fee to stay healthy which should have been my fundamental human right to begins with.
I had a much needed soothing and relaxing acupuncture session today. Alexia per usual was wonderful - caring, sensitive and attentive. The reception was lovely as well. Thank you for both of your hospitality!
If I could give zero star - I would. I have spent 3 months asking for itemized receipt to visits, and my complete medical record. None of which have been answered in detail. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone and I spent 30 today, alone, waiting for someone to pick up, only to be disconnected. This business operates borderline fraudulent, and medical recommendations and follow ups are unclear. Extremely disgusted. While the care professionals are caring, this does not excuse or offset the administration of fees, follow-up care, and billing. Charging without approval nor evidence is unacceptable
I’m sorry people haven’t had the best experiences with this place but when I tell you the staff here goes above and beyond I mean it. I was supposed to go in for an IUD but the universe decided it had other plans for that day- mind you these plans were both out of mine and the clinics hands. Shoutout to my meds for triggering a false positive pregnancy test. Emory was so completely supportive in calming my nerves and addressing all of my concerns. She was quick on her feet with getting labs done and me rescheduled for the procedure almost immediately. She was in constant contact with me in the upcoming days and then I came back in 3 days later. This time the universe decided to trip the fire alarm right before we were to begin the insertion process. Emory and Alena were very supportive and once again asked if I was emotionally able to go back in and finish what we started. We went back in after the building was cleared. We did the damn thing. Alena held my hand the entire time, and also gave me a little lavender oil to calm my nerves. Considering everything was out of our control for both appointments. Everyone was extremely accommodating, and I could not have asked for better care then I received.
I thought this was an amazing concept but unfortunately have had a dreadful experience. I have had 3 appointments canceled at the last minute (literally a couple of hours before). There has also been confusion multiple times with the care team sending me the wrong type of appointment link to book an appointment. I have been extremely worried because a Tia NP said that it was important to book a follow up appointment to discuss results of my lab work, yet that hasnt happened for two weeks because of their care team. I have had to move my schedule around at work multiple times only to have appointments subsequently cancelled and my concerns never addressed. When I relayed these concerns I was told that somebody would follow up with me on the phone yet that never happened. When I cancelled my membership and again explained what happened in hopes that somebody would have the compassion to give me a call to discuss my blood work, I received a generic message back cancelling my membership with still no phone call or concern for the fact that their nurse said my health results are worrying yet NOBODY has followed up with me. I really wanted to be a proponent of this practice for womens health but have been left extremely anxious and inconvenienced as it is now on me to find another doctor who will make the time to discuss my blood work.
The best care team I have ever experienced. From the front desk to the clinical team I feel supported and understood. No judgment, its easy to be open with the team because they want to help their patients.
The in patient care is phenomenal and comforting, clinic is beautiful and calming. The problem for me is dealing with them outside of the clinic. I have had results come back and then getting a call that results were wrong, scheduling an appointment has been a nightmare and a half and most are held only online. Very important appointment canceled 1 hour before, next availability 1 month later, after already waiting a month for the first appointment. Medication was sent to wrong pharmacy multiple times. You cannot ask any questions without making an appointment, portal is poorly set up and you must go through portal for questions or make appointment, spending more money. Appointment availability is extremely difficult for anyone with a full time job. It has overall added more stress in my life. They basically stopped trying to help me, when I started expressing how upset I am. I have asked for proper help multiple times and still have not received any. After reading previous reviews and also seeing how they have handled things, it is all very generic and seems like it is all about business for them, rather than caring for their patients. I simply don’t feel like anyone is taking care of me there. Even the responses to reviews are so generic and only prove further to me that it is not a place that puts effort into their patients. I am really sad to have this experience like this because I loved the concept. But I have never had so many issues and complications with a provider in my life. In theory it is a great concept, just does not seem like they are following through with the mission they advertise on creating a place where women can safely take control of their health. I feel as if I have honestly been scammed. I would not ever recommend. The nice office and instagramable feel of it all is not worth the distress and difficulty.
Love the idea of Tia but the appointment availability is beyond frustrating. It’s gotten better compared to when they first started out but they still have a long way to go in terms of staffing and scheduling. I used to have many appointments canceled 30 mins-1 hour before the start time so it’s not great for patients who don’t live close to their Manhattan or Brooklyn locations. As great as Tia is in theory, the availability is so far and few between that it’s not sustainable to keep them for primary care.
Honestly I have been coming to Tia since they first opened in Flatiron and everything was seamless and smooth which is why I considered them to begin with. However, now a days in this new location it has been a terrible experience. Everytime they are running behind by an hour or longer which is insane. If it was a one off it’s understandable but every time ? Makes no sense. I will cancel my membership because Tia is no longer that convenient, patient eccentric one stop wellness place I once considered it.
My first in person visit and I’m glad to say I’m very pleased with choosing Tia. The staff and environment were welcoming and kind. The tour of atmosphere you look forward to walking into.
I love Tia Clinic! I’ve been coming here for over a year and their system has made staying on top of all my appointments, annuals, and ad hoc visits such a seamless process. It also helps that the clinics are gorgeous and the staff members are all friendly.
I just had the most fun I’ve ever had at the doctor, everyone was friendly and listened ! I highly recommend Tia!!
I use to think Tia was great, but the last year with them has been miserable. They are just randomly testing you for things you didn’t ask for and then you get crazy bills. They haven’t been any help in solving the discrepancies and they refuse to refill prescription even after you had an in person appointment. Total scam please don’t use them anymore. I really hope they get shut down.
I am a new patient with Tia. Both of my appointments have been canceled at the last minute due to the provider calling out sick. This happened TWO Mondays in a row. On top of that, the communication between the TIA sites is completely ineffective. When my appointment with the SOHO location was canceled today, I called to see if they could get me an appointment with the Williamsburg location. The person I spoke to at SOHO said she could get me at 5pm and said I was all set with my appointment. I called the Williamsburg location just to confirm, and they did NOT have me scheduled. Tia employees, speaking to patients nicely isnt actually nice if you arent ensuring they are getting the services they need. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Tldr; save yourself the effort, go to a proper PCP.Terrible terrible experience. Never saw a single doctor, there is no centralized care, you keep getting passed around, techs needed to prick several times to draw blood. I called over the weekend due to an emergency and the call center refused to connect me a doctor because I didnt have a name even though I was not once in touch with a doctor. Another operator told me TIA is a gynac only clinic, so I was wrong to be calling about any other needs (even though the whole point of the clinic is having PCP/gynac services centralized). They never uploaded my referrals or sent my prescriptions either.
Horrible customer service. I joined Tia in the hopes of meeting with a therapist that I thought would be a good fit. I was put on a waiting list which is fine but still had to pay the monthly fee in the mean time. After a month or two and finding therapist elsewhere, I tried to cancel my membership and received no response. They have no option to call, only emailing their customer service account. I tried again, and no response and finally after the THIRD time, now months later, I asked again for a cancellation and refund for the additional months and I just got an email saying Ive successfully cancelled my membership but nothing about the refund for the 6+ months I paid for this b.s. I just replied again asking about the refund so Im hoping someone finally gets back to me and ends this tedious and ridiculous process.Updated 7/1/23: Updated to two stars from one because they refunded my money, finally. I only saw when I went into my bank accounts, they never actually got back to me, smh.
I have really bad medical anxiety, and I’m just overall always anxious for anything, especially going to the gyn. They made this experience, literally feel like a spa
Ive had my fair share of bad experiences with doctors, usually due to them dismissing and invalidating my concerns, but I just had (truly) the most caring and comprehensive appointment with Emory. Everyone worked so hard to give me the treatment and tests I needed, and were so kind and welcoming throughout it all. I finally feel hopeful that Ill be able to figure out and improve my health
If you’re just looking to get birth control refills and an annual exam/pap this place is probably fine. However, if you have issues such as fibroids, endometriosis, or would like to use them as a primary care physician (as they advertise) I’d recommend going elsewhere. They’ve rescheduled appointments on me at the last minute many times. I have to take time off of work to get to these appointments so it’s extremely frustrating. For a concept that’s supposed to make healthcare access more convenient, it just isn’t at all.
Nancy was amazing. I get blood drawn quite a bit- her approach, demeanor and skill (I felt nothing) are such an asset. Thanks for a great experience!
Wasted my time. Waited for an hour just to get my bloodwork done on a Thanksgiving eve at 7pm, and she couldnt even draw my blood saying Im dehydrated and told me to go to questlab. no one has ever failed getting my blood done. Such a disappointing experience for a PAID membership service
The best personal I’ve ever met!I recommend this clinic to every women who wants to feels comfortable and safe
The gold standard of women’s healthcare. I’ve been trying to get diagnoses on significant changes to my health for the last 2 years and been told by countless doctors that I was overreacting, making things up and that nothing was wrong. Tia listened from the first appointment and ran numerous blood tests no one had ever done on me that showed exactly what was wrong without me having to ask, they did it automatically. I was shocked when the tests I’d never had before came back showing results I’d been seeking for years; how my previous doctors missed this completely is beyond me. I even passed out during the draw which has never happened but both nurses I saw took excellent care of me, made sure I was ok to leave and told me how to take care of myself for the rest of the day. As a young woman navigating healthcare for the first time on my own, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. GO HERE!
Ive never felt more safe and comfortable and listened to in my life. If you’re looking for women’s healthcare where you are able to voice your concerns and needs freely and feel wholeheartedly supported, go to Tia!
Sadly, I do not recommend Tia.While I had high hopes and expectations, I have been completely disappointed and frustrated with the services here. The lack of communication between the team and patients is poor, and I still haven’t received test results from appointments I have had weeks ago.
One of the best experiences Ive ever had going to the doctor. Kind, knowledgeable staff and practitioners who really listen, in a beautiful and calming space. Definitely recommend!
Every experience I have in office is great - the staff is caring and courteous and the care is top notch.
This was my absolute best experience at the doctor! The team was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and most importantly welcoming. I will def be back!
Draconian late policy. Show up one minute past the 10 minute grace period and you’re out of luck. I was literally at the building at the exact time the grace period ended and had to reschedule.
I love this place. Felt instantly comfortable throughout the entire visit. Coming from my old doctor, this was a total 180. No shaming, no criticism, and I left feeling like I was heard and my needs were met.
TIA does not have safe medication management protocols in place. If it’s important for you to have stable and consistent access to a medication you depend on do not go here.
I really appreciate the concept of care delivered by this caring team. My providers are excellent.
Ive been lucky to have consistent healthcare here. Every person has been attentive and paid attention to what is going on with my health.
Kyle is awesome and the whole experience is so human 💕
I was running late, on a Saturday, and the team was so responsive and lovely! Highly recommend this location!
Lack of quality care and doctors especially for important health concerns. Do not recommend.
Lovely experience. Answered all my questions.
Absolutely LOVE this place. So beautiful, so relaxing, and the nicest doctors and staff ever.
Beautiful office and great care team who has been able to answer all my questions.
Literally never looked forward to going to the doctor- I look forward to every Tia visit
Awesome staff. Very thorough and wonderful bedside manner!
Very kind staff and providers
Always a pleasant experience
Just don’t do it. Do not go here or to the Williamsburg location. It’s not “safe”, believe me…
Unbelievable. So kind and beautiful. I love it so much
Unbelievable I will never go anywhere else
Great service and welcoming atmosphere
I love Tia!
Best experience ✨
