The Miami take on the Out of The Closet concept does not disappoint! So many communities benefit from all the good OTC does for their communities and I am so glad Miami is still on the receiving in! #outofthecloset #biscayne #thriftstore #designerclothes #dvds #bluray #books #collectibles #miami #dadecounty #florida
I love this place and I trust it. I’ve been there several times to get tested. I really highly recommend it. Take care of yourselves be safe. It’s not only pregnancy. It’s more than that..!! 🩵🌹👍🏼
UNPROFESSIONAL AND SIMPLY LAZY DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE JUST FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE TRUST ME!!! When I arrived, there was a note stating that lunch was from 2 PM until 3 PM. I arrive about 245 a gentleman in scrubs walked pass at least several times didn’t say a word about 330 still patiently waiting someone called another employee and inquired on how long was the wait and he proceeded to tell them that they decided they was closing at 4pm today and we who wanted to get tested should find another location so me and 7 other people was just waiting for nothing and nobody was going to say anything JUST REPLACE THE entire STAFF OR SHUT DOWN!!
Love this thrift store! Everything was so organized and easy to find things. Found a few goodies to use for Change/key holders. Will def be back! Cute furniture options too!
Until today I enjoyed shopping here. You can definitely tell theres a new manager and staff. Presented my things at the checkout, and they would not honor their price on a small shelf. Spoke to the manager about honoring the price, and he stated he is too busy. Many clothing items are over priced, and lots of their furniture is damaged. There are better vintage shops to spend your time shopping. I wouldnt waste my time here.
For may years I have donated and shopped at this place. They are always a little rude in the donation area, but since it is for a good cause I really do not care. They make you feel like they are making you a favor when you are donating to the organization. I own a printer and we have a bunch of roll up banners that clients have left behind. They were in good shape, but of course with other companies advertisement. I propose to the person taking donations, that if they want, we will print whatever they want for this roll ups free of charge. His answer was to leave there they will put them in the garbage because they do not have use for it.
One of my new favorite stores! Found a great chair for my apartment plus some great pieces of clothing. It was clean and very organized, plus the staff were super helpful!
Thank you for the horrible uncomfortable unprofessional service from this place & especially the testing area. They are all rude and do not want to work also thank you so much losing my driver license. Didn’t even check just said they do not have my license. :-) waste of time. I have been attending this location for some years. Just because it’s the only one thats close. My first time I was attended by a very nice, understanding, warm female doctor. Then after that I never saw her again after all those doctors & overall people that work there are ignorant & just make situations much more uncomfortable. Very rude & take to you with no kind of respect. I just left crying because I’m coming for a reason not just for fun. Staff of “Out of the Closet “be more understand and professional.
Horrible!! Waiting for 2hrs and still nothing and they close at 6 and it’s 6:06pm I’ll never come back here again !!! Wish experience ever !!!
Wont be spending anymore money here. Ever. Came in and Im filling out my intake. Young guy come up and tells me I need to give him my bag, new rule. Been coming for a while so must be a really new. He was timid and not rude, I politely decline, not giving up my bag, others in there have a bag. I tell him to go the woman next to me and demand her purse, he wont do that because its ridiculous. He gets the manager, who again just goes into that I need to hand over my bag or leave, I again tell him that he can walk himself over to the woman two feet from me and demand her purse if hes trying to take my backpack. He wont do that because shes here for testing mf what do you think Im doing walking in the pharmacy entrance standing right in front of the registration desk. He snootily snooted himself back to the back not to be seen again. I dont appreciate coming in for a health checkup and it being implied that Im thieving just because Im a male with a backpack. Rude double standards. And sending that shy boy out to confront people about it. Do that yourself boss man
I think all the locations of Out Of The Closet are fantastic. They have wonderful things for sale. The staff does their best to help you and the best part is that all the money raised goes to support people in need!
Pharmacy worker was extremely unprofessional! I was trying to get tested and it was my first time there and she seemed extremely bothered that I asked her for help also made jokes about me to her coworker and he started laughing with her. Poor customer service ! The only person that made my experience here amazing was the nurse in the second floor she was truly such an amazing person
The customer services is great. The registration process for testing needs to improve. The registration desk is in the store area and has no waiting area to complete registration. A bunch of people trying to complete registration standing up prior to getting a number. Registration should take place within the clinic area on the second floor. Will recommend 100%.
Really disappointed in the fact they solicit donations and pick up with NO guidelines or rules online bht when they come to pick up they tell you what is acceptable or not. Two couches in fantastic condition were rejected because two water marks. Had I had any clue I wouldnt have kept the furniture for a week waiting for them. Sold them on offer up in a day and didnt waste time waiting.
Found some good stuff here but there were signs on the GROUND saying none of the clothes on the mannequins were for sale. We didn’t see them because they were not at eye level with the mannequins, which doesn’t make a ton of sense to begin with. Why would you put clothes in a clothing store you’re not willing to sell?? What kind of sense does that make?? And then have the audacity to be rude to and belittle the customer for being confused about that? It was a little ridiculous to be honest. Reading through the other reviews here it seems rudeness is a recurring theme here.
I love thrift stores and this just happened to be on my path as I had spare time on my lunch break. The clothing selection was amazing , & a good collection of books. I was even helped by a tall boy his name was tyrone ( not sure if its spelled that way ) And he was very helpful and kind AMAZING WORKER THERE HE DESERVES A RAISE ! But Im giving this store 1 star simply because the store manager was blatantly rude ... its his store and his employees act better than him DISGUSTINGGG. Would only come back for tyrone and their selection of clothes !
You can get a FREE STD panel and HIV blood test at this location every Tuesday and Friday from 2 pm until 7 pm. It is so important to be tested and known your status. I think that they provide a great service and I get tested here every six months. Great thrifting, too.
The new location is great. What a shame some of your employees are not as nice. Your two locations in Broward have staff that are always friendly and willing to help. The the last time I visited the old Miami location I was helped by Tyrone ( I hope the spelling is correct), he was very helpful. At your new Miami location the assistant manager is plainly putting it RUDE. For me the almost 45min. drive to Broward is worth it. The moment you walk in you feel welcomed and, NOT THE CASE AT YOUR MIAMI STORE, specially if you engage the assistant manager. It is amazing that you have such a person working in contact with the public. Do you have different hiring policies from one county to the other. The merchandise is kept in the stock room for certain costumers and if you ask the assistant manager get ready for a RUDE response. Thank you for your great service to the community.
BEST THRIFT SHOP EVER! Not only free HIV testing but also they take care of you in case of positive results! The staff is always chill and nice. Will definitely recommend :)
I am always on a tight budget and I rely on thrift stores to get beautiful clothes because I cant buy elegant clothing at the mall because they cost me a fortune. Im thankful to this place for having a nice selection of clothes because I dont need to spend a few hundred dollars to get a sophisticated and elegant looking clothes.
Terrible customer service. For an organization that solicits donations they are not very accommodating at all. If you’re looking to donate somewhere nearby, I highly recommend Miami Rescue Mission, much better experience.
Nice staff and guess what? Free rapid HIV testing on the spot... Results in 20 mins or less. Trained counselors, compassionate staff and very cool clothes! They also offer free STD testing during a certain period during the month. Oh... And they also check you for Hep C when doing the hiv.
I love this store. My favorite thing about it is not just the rare finds but Tyrone! Tyrone is so awesome. His sweet demeanor and helpfulness is unmatched.Edit: The security guard is one strange dude. He always follows me and says the MOST inappropriate things. Today, he said I have a nice body but he can tell I am older. He threw in that him and his friend thinks I should work on my arms. He never fails to say something to me every time I go to the store.Im serious considering not shopping there anymore. Tf?!2nd Edit: I will not be shopping there anymore since they let Tyrone go...he was THE reason I shopped there. He was so nice and ALWAYS helped me find things that I didnt know I needed. I spent hundreds of dollars there and happily so. Not anymore. I will take my business elsewhere
Quality second hand products at competitive prices. The profits goes to charity helping HIV patients. Anyone can donate their used or new commodities and then a price is assigned to that product along with date of donation.
Got all the furniture for my new apartment here for about $350. Were talking couch, coffe tables, lawn set, shelves, dining set, desk, the list goes on. And this stuff was in solid shape. Super friendly staff that will help you carry stuff out to the car. Forget about IKEA, come here!
Seems like theres a younger staff now. I love this place and its mission, but the customer service has dropped significantly since the last time I visited about a year or so ago (think apathetic 20 somethings who avoid being bothered/doing their job). Oh well, its still a great thrift shop and the prices have remained consistently low.
Loved the theme of this thrift store & this one had a better selection then the one I went to in Saint Petersburg. It has small vintage collection, but prices were good. I found a couple shirts. Employees were nice.
I love this place.. some of the staff are really nice other a bit dry but once they warm up to you, you are practically family. Going there u never know what u may find and most importantly you are helping while u shop..
I visit about 10 Thrift stores per week, This is my 4th time at this place and unlike the Wilton Manors store, the service, clothing and prices are HORRIBLE. Only stopped there today because it was on my way to Downtown and miraculously had parking. I got sales receipt but paid for the 2 items I got with CC, didnt get receipt. Asked for it and got a long face with a lousy attitude was printed and then literaly dumped over the counter as my hand was extended waiting for it (look at the cameras managers). Do they know Im also one of their donors?? RUDE people who dont want to work. Got to Wilton Minors one. Night and day difference. These people at the 2900 & Biscayne want to be at beach, not working CLEARLY.
Theyre are freaking rude. Get tested elsewhere and dont buy here rip off. the lady at the front desk is rude as hell and is always giving attitude. Ive gone 4 times to try to to get tested to be told they werent accepting anymore people. lol its fine go to some other place they. this place doesnt even carry the newest hiv test. horrible. dont recommend.
Such a cute store with an amazing purpose! ♥️
We called at 4pm asking what time they close for donation, they said at 7pm. We loaded the car with clothes, crib, mattress, drove all the way from Coral Gables to Miami Downtown. It was opened, the lady said to come back tomorrow because they are bit accepting after 3:30pm... WE CALLED! Also, there is a sign by the door saying “danation up to 6:30pm”. She was there, the garage opened. I had the car loaded with my baby inside. We called early... not to mention that she said I could try Salvation Army or Lotus House...
Fantastic selection of clothing at a reasonable price. Im hoping a changing room will be available to try on a few clothes in the future.
Love this place. You can find so many hidden gems and slightly used clothing for so little and it all goes to support an amazing cause.
Not lost the time to come for the text never have reactive o no have something ll the time is excuse and say the 10 to 6:30 but is 4 and no have anybody to take the test is stupid to free something place to take text and never work sorry but is bad place to take HIV text 🤮
I always go here for the routine STD/HIV check ups every 3 months. Receptionist for them is nice enough but the staff that actually tests you are the winners!
This is a great place that serves many important purposes. Friendly volunteers welcome your donations, lots of varied things to buy, and a surprise or two at times.
Great shopping experience. Staff is very helpful, store is in great condition, will definitely continue to donate and shop at this location.
Great selection of clothes and even better prices! Employees are also very sweet, I will definitely be coming back :)
Wonderful organization, worthy of your clothing donations. They do important work for the community! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
They had some good books, but no fitting room. Which means I cant buy clothes.
They dont let you have your money back if the item you bought in a box is missing the main item. The manager was super rude
Went to drop off clothing and expensive donations 30 minutes prior to close and some women turned me away. Even though it was a substantial donation.
Bought many things, donated many things... till i met the store manager today. one of the unprofessional persons i ever met who claims to be the manager..i will never enter this strore ever again ! a big rip off
Lovely thrift shop. Parking available in back (plus for Edgewater honestly), and pretty good selection of clothes at a very affordable price.
Great place for books. Got a large picture and they helped me get it in my car.
Small Selection of Clothes , but was nice . I got a couple of pieces which was in a reasonable price
Variety of vintage clothing is ok. The Free health services are awesome
Was great, was curated, now seems they have the same drek the salvation army has.
This place has been my all time favorite thrift store since I went there for the first time
🎶 Drip drop? Cute top! Gotta draw some blood, make them veins pop. 🎶
Very nice people, good prices. Definitely come back.
Their hearts are in the right place; youll feel good donating there
Friendly staff and in this place you can have a easy and free VIH test!
Really nice staff, great clothes and a great price.
Smaller than the other locations, selection is trivialbut its for a good cause
I like it they treat you with respect and dont judge you and its a friendly environment
Thrift store, free hiv testing this place is a great store for the community.
Amazing for Books, you will find some quality items here.
Nice place hard to find parking but over all fine ..
The books are super cheap and have lots of great options.
I got some shoes 👞 👟 😋 🤪 at a really good price 👌 😏 😋 😌
Manager is a NASTY queen, store is highly over priced!
Excellent....... Friendly experienced staff. Food melts in your mouth.
From the research it seems this is one of the more legit places to donate to in Miami.
Free HIV testing and STD testing. Great thrift store.
Staff is always friendly, and I always find something good
Great cause! Great prices! Great finds!
Found some really nice pieces here! Friendly Staff!!
A very crowded place, and you have to find employees to help you!
The smell is horrific. Disgusting and dirty in here
Hands down the best place to find a treasure.
What days do the HIV test?
Great items and great prices
Is my go-to place when I need any new clothing

Very good.
Shop for a great cause.
❤️❤️❤️
Always always fun
Ok
Excellent service
Get tested
Thrifty place.
The staff are not friendly and you really go shopping. They are not giving me the things and yet they are not at all kind. They seem to be in a bad mood. Practically all of them are like that. The only polite one is a tall white man with glasses. The others need to improve.
I do not recommend this placeUnfortunately, my experience at Out of the Closet Medical Center on Biscayne and 24 Street has been consistently negative. All those who serve the counters are detestable, horrible, inhuman, unpleasant and rude. It is unacceptable that staff in a medical facility, where humane and empathetic treatment is supposed to occur, treat patients in this way.I have visited this place on several occasions and have always had the same negative experience. Not only are they unprofessional, but they also make the process of taking blood samples even more stressful and unpleasant. It is urgent that this center takes measures to improve customer service and train its staff in basic courtesy and professionalism skills.I would not recommend this place to anyone until they significantly improve their service and patient treatment.
A great place, the store is great, but the clinic is much better, an unbeatable work team, professionals with very good communication between them and with the patients from minute 1. My respects and gratitude to all of you.
A vintage place, where you can find second-hand things in perfect condition ranging from clothes, shoes, household items, decorations, books, movies, etc. It also has a very good atmosphere, hygiene and, as a plus, it is attached to the AHF Wellness Center and its pharmacy.
I went looking for vintage or second hands clothing and you found interesting things both in clothing and things for the home such as tableware, furniture, equipment from the 90s or 2000s, etc. and many items for the LGTBI community such as tshirts, caps, magazines, etc. Also on the 2nd floor you can get tested for HIV and STD or hepatitis for free and receive guidance about it. Great service throughout the store except in the STORE. All the guys who work there have no idea about customer service, they serve you reluctantly, they dont make the slightest effort to wrap your purchase or give you a bag, yes You ask them about a product they have in their area, they answer you reluctantly, they dont look you in the face. Appalling. They should all change it. Here and reluctantly they gave me the purchase that cost me 30 usd
The store and the service are excellent except for the thin young man who is at the checkout, he is always on his cell phone and when he charges you he never pays attention to the points that you accumulate and when you ask him he tells you it is too late, or are you coming to work? or you are on your cell phone but you cant do both because it affects me...
Excellent place
The care at the clinic is free and super friendly
It is a good place and visiting it and buying it helps charitable causes
Pork I FIND EXCELLENT THINGS....
Excellent service
