I can not recommend maternal resources enough! I recently gave birth to my 3rd child , having a vba2c. I don’t think I would have avoided a c-section with any other doctor in the world. Dr. Abdelhak is brilliant, I trusted his judgement and felt safe every step of the way. My husband and I also very much appreciated his sense of humor. After hours of labor he walked in and said “if I wanted to cut you open, I would have done it at 7 this morning, work harder danielle” and I did! We also used Raizy as our labor coach, best decision ever! She was incredibly helpful. The entire experience from office visits to delivery was great. The office is so well run, the staff is helpful and responsive. All 4 of the doctors and the PAs are excellent and no visit ever felt rushed. I would never have a baby anywhere else!
I’m happy that I chose Maternal Resources and would recommend them without hesitation. My experience was positive from the first ultrasound all the way through to delivery and postnatal care. Everyone at the Hackensack office is kind and competent. There is a family-like vibe and I always looked forward to appointments. They do a good job with scheduling, so you arent sitting around waiting to be seen. You get more face time with doctors here than at a typical OB office; they are willing to answer questions in detail and value informed consent. Youll see all of the docs throughout pregnancy so that you are comfortable with whoever delivers you. There is an ultrasound done at every appointment, which is reassuring if you are high risk, and also fun since you get to watch as your baby (or babies) develop. Yes you will pay more out of pocket but the quality of care is well worth it. Billing was also done exactly as described to me at the start -- unlike with insurance there were no surprises. If we have another baby Ill definitely be back!
10 stars if I could. My wife switched over to this practice in the middle of her pregnancy, given a lot of unease she had at the previous practice which felt like a busy mill and her goals of having a VBAC were not shared by them. This practice was exactly what she needed. The visits were extremely thorough, she never felt for a moment that she was being rushed. She met with every doctor in the practice and each time her questions and concers were really fully addressed and she never left feeling confused or uneasy as she had at the previous practice.Raizy is an incredible person to have in your corner during pregnancy and on delivery day. She was advocating for everything my wife needed and was genuinely invested in her success. At the end of it all, Dr. Ratzersdorfer was the hero on delivery day. He really went above and beyond in paying attention to all of the small details and spent hours and a ton of effort to reposition the baby and successfully performed the VBAC that my wife wanted a fair shot at.I cant say enough good things. These folks are professional and genuinely good people who run a traditional medical practice the way it should be, before corporate medicine took everything over and ruined the field. Good medicine still exists!
Its hard to put into words how eternally grateful my husband and I are for this practice. I had a successful VBA2C here and it absolutely changed my life. These people are actual angels. Every single employee weve interacted with has gone above and beyond for my care and wellbeing. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell how much the staff respects one another. Coming from another reputable practice in the area, I can honestly say the quality care at Maternal Resources is unmatched. It feels like family here and I consider myself very lucky to have experienced pregnancy and birth under their care. I only wish I found them sooner. I would drive far out of my way to go to the Hackensack office. The absolute best!
I highly recommend Maternal Resources and all the physicians at this practice. Physicians are kind and take their time to get to know you in their patient centric practice. It is a throw back to what I assume medical practices were like years ago, when the patient was not simply a cog in the wheel. Office is easy to access and park. They are a one stop shop. They have a lab technician in-house to do routine blood work. They have an ultra sound tech with a hospital sized ultra sound machine for all your sonograms and important scans. It is easy to make appointments. Their schedule is typically not backed up, you can be in and out and get back to your job. No unnecessary and painful waiting room time. The office is around the corner from Hackensack Hospital where they have privileges and deliver. Hackensack hospital has a top rated L&D floor, nurses for pre-delivery and post-partum care were excellent. You get your own room for delivery and for recovery. These were all the factors that I was looking for in my OBGYN. I delivered my first 2 in NYC at what I thought was a top hospital with top care. My third was with Maternal Resources and the care far surpassed my city experience. Only con is one I have heard from others, that they dont take all insurances.
Were deeply grateful for Dr. Ratzersdorfer. He was fully committed to our VBAC. His passion for VBAC was evident in our prenatal visits, where he provided constant guidance, support and encouragement--always coming back to the main goal of a VBAC. During labor, despite slow progress and challenges, he allowed us to continue the labor, which resulted in a successful VBAC. Many hospital staff told us that only Dr. Ratzersdorfer and his colleagues at Maternal Resources are genuinely willing to execute a VBAC, never sacrificing on the first priorities of the health of the baby and me. Dr. Ratzersdorfers energy was perfect - serious yet encouraging and nimble. We trusted him completely, thanks to his excellent communication, compassionate demeanor, and extremely evident & reputable skillset. In summary, hes an exceptional doctor who made our VBAC journey possible. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ratzersdorfer for patient-centered, skilled care. Our heartfelt thanks to him and the team.
I had my son on 10/30/2022 and the experience with this practice was great. The doctors are on top of the ball game especially with such a complicated pregnancy and c-section. I want to say thank you to all the doctors at maternal resource for helping me have safe pregnancy but furthermore for the opportunity to save my uterus so that I have the opportunity to possibly have the opportunity to further expand my family.
We thank our lucky stars every single day for this practice. Each and every person who works here is absolutely incredible! The level of comfort we had during our pregnancy after going through IVF meant the world. All of our concerns were always addressed, the Doctor’s made you feel at ease even in the worst of circumstances, and the office staff exudes positivity and are so welcoming. When experiencing difficulties during your pregnancy, all you want is to make sure your baby is in good care. Because of these miracle workers, I was actually able to enjoy my pregnancy and not fear the worst. The delivery of our son went smoothly and everything was communicated as things progressed. We are grateful, thankful, and in awe of their ability to make you feel as if you are their only patient.
Looks like a great facility, but it is sad to see such prejudice staff. I needed a pregnancy confirmation appointment and the front desk denied service because in her opinion this is not for you, it is too costly. I was willing to become a customer of this facility but oh well I will find a better place. Good luck growing reputation with employees like those.
I researched many doctors while trying to get pregnant w/ my 1st. I wanted the best and I found it. I had a wonderful pregnancy, easy vaginal delivery and am now the proud mama of a healthy, happy baby girl thanks to Dr. Abdelhak and his amazing team. During pregnancy I looked forward to my doctor appts - I loved getting sonograms every visit. Any questions/concerns outside of visits were answered almost immediately by phone. Also, I had major anxiety surrounding labor/delivery so opted to have Raizy Green as my labor coach and I’m so thankful I did. I went into labor spontaneously 5 days early and she was by my side every step of labor/delivery (12 hours!!). Raizy’s positivity & motivation got me through it with a smile and happy tears. They made sure my baby and I were well taken care of and I’m so grateful. True professionals who really care about their patients. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I’m super grateful I found this group. After IVF treatments I found them on a list of obgyn. All the doctors are wonderful. They responded to me quickly, and gave information right away. I highly recommend them. My delivery was great and went smoothly.
