The staff, the nurses and the doctor were very kind, competent and compassionate. I have been attended with the utmost professionalism and caring and doctor Weaver asked me to go back the next day to make sure I was getting better. The location is very clean and quiet. You can book the appointment through their website so you don’t need to wait too long. They also take all insurance details online if you don’t want to write papers while waiting.Highly recommended!
Professional and helpful staff from the receptionist to the physician. The site was clean and pleasant. I could not have been more pleased with my experience.
Incompetent staff. I’m a registered nurse. I came into the facility for a simple N-95 mask fit test. The technician Addison filled out the respirator fit test form incorrectly. My document was rejected by my employer. I went back to the facility the next day and rather than filling out a new form; the staff edited the form so it appeared as fraudulent documentation. My per diem shifts were cancelled because of the mistake of the staff at Physician Immediate Care 121 W North Ave.It took my employer 3 weeks to receive my medical records. The records department were non-responsive to requests made to send my medical records to my employer. The staff sent my medical records from email addresses and fax numbers that were inconsistent with number listed to represent Physicians Immmediate Care. My employer called to verify the fax number and the manager told her the fax number was incorrect. The team as a whole at Physicians Immediate Care 121 W North Ave are incompetent to say the least. Avoid at all costs.
All staff at this location is very nice, friendly and helpful. I was in so much pain and Eva Weaver PA-C was extremely attentive trying to find my problem. She got to call me few hours later to check on me. I would recommend this location to anyone. Thank you
The care was great, but I wish there would have been more accommodations or even compassion by the receptionist for out of state patients.
Thought I had Covid and Dr. Evie put my mind at rest. Everytime I called with another ailment she would phone in a new script and it was like a miracle. She knew exactly what I needed. Lessened the pain and Im practically healed. Thank you for intelligent & compassionate care!!!
The servicing was great. But the registration process is ridiculous for a patient who has been seen on site numerous times to have to go through the whole rigmarole, including all the photos of ID IDs and insurance cards is a pain in the butt.
Dr. Weaver is the best!! I wish she could be out primary care physician! She treated my son, discovered a significant health issue and she treated me a few months later!! Physician’s Immediate Care is lucky to have her! The staff was wonderful too!! East check in and all was professional and clean!
I waited for 40 minutes just for them to review my x-ray. Then two months later (today) I get a letter saying I owe an extra $93, even though when I went, I was told my urgent care appointment would be $120, which I already paid. As though having a sprained ankle wasn’t bad enough, I now have to waste my time calling in to fix their mess. Go elsewhere.
A clean, quiet & professional environment. All staff persons are polite and good listeners. Prompt and attentive care given throughout my 45 minute experience.
Fast, efficient, and helpful. Everyone here is so kind. They accepted my insurance. Someone followed up with me after my visit to see how I was and if I had any questions. Highly recommend.
Did not wait long to see doctor. Staff were very friendly. Doctor was very thorough. Willing to spend time with me.
Every staff member was friendly and professional. They answered all my questions and I felt that I received excellent care.
I have been coming to this location since it opened years ago. The facility is always clean and staff very welcoming! I visited the North Ave location this afternoon and was very pleased with the services provided by Darius and Sarah. 👏👏
Lady at the desk wasnt pleasant or welcoming. Your patients are sick we wants to be greeted with care and compassion. Not with a bad attitude. Hire those who care for your patients.
I had such a quick and easy experience here! I suspected that I had done some serious damage to my hand while on a recent skiing trip so I sucked it up and visited this location. The entire visit was less than 2 hrs! The Dr. called a X-ray technician who arrived promptly and the staff was extremely thorough as well as kind. Thank you so much!
Had a clogged ear that was driving me crazy and with about 30 minutes to spare before closing I was able to get in and out with ease and 0 pain in my ear, have had the issue for 2 years and the Immediate care acted with efficiency and professionalism would highly recommend for quick emergency visits.
Eva Weaver was a 10. The facility a 3. Bring a sweater, the place was freezing, the staff were all wearing fleece in August and the facility was not very clean.
Hello,I am writing to express my concern about a recent experience at your Old Town location. As a loyal patient of your Adams St. facility in West Loop for the past two years, I have always been satisfied with the care and service provided to both me and my daughter. However, my recent visit to your Old Town branch was far from satisfactory.Upon my visit, I was informed by the receptionist, Andrea, that I had not met my deductible and would need to pay $150 to see the doctor. This was surprising as I had confirmed with my insurance provider that my deductible had been met. Despite my attempts to rectify the situation, Andrea refused to speak with my insurance representative and insisted that I wait until the corporate office updated their system. This is puzzling as the Adams St. location has never encountered such issues with my insurance.Furthermore, the lack of attention and care was disheartening. Despite my evident distress, Andrea showed little concern for my situation. I was not checked in upon arrival and my attempts to speak with the office manager, Karina, were futile as she was not present. The focus seemed to be more on their Starbucks order than on patient care, which is not what I have come to expect from your facilities. This experience has left me with a sense of disappointment, and I am saddened to say that I will not be returning to the Old Town location.I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the patient experience at your Old Town location.
I was treated very well for my health concern and the doctor was very thorough in his instructions for care.
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU JUST WANT A COVID TEST, they’ll say that all you’re getting is the test that is fully covered under insurance but then proceed to take your vitals and charge your insurance for an urgent care visit as well. Instead, go to the COVID testing center near the Sedgwick stop, they will only administer the test
Went for straightforward screening exam. Was notified 1 day later that they “mixed up” samples and that I had to return for re-testing. This was downplayed as “something that happens sometimes,” but in my opinion is a sign of poor organizational skills and questionable clinical competence. Not pleased. Discouraging, especially when I felt that the original visit seemed to go so smoothly.
COVID-19 testing M-W-F only right nowGive them a call if you have questions they are very helpfulThey recommend showing up before 7am to get tested. We went on a Wed. The first people said they arrived at 6am. We arrived at 6:45am and there were 27 people already in line. At 7am there we’re close to 50 people in line.Once they started registering individuals, a woman came out and asked people why they were getting tested - SEVERAL WERE TURNED AWAY. MAKE SURE TO CALL AND ASK IF YOUR REASON FOR TESTING IS ACCEPTED.The woman hands out an appointment time for you, and you come back at that time. When you get back, you are taken to a room, tested, and in around 12 minutes they bring in your results.Very convenient because of the quick turnaround and they are all very efficient at their jobs.
I love the place. There patient and they listen and they gentle also good customer service. They also good with children so that is a plus.
Very positive experience. Staff is friendly and professional. Gave great advice and followed up a couple of days later to check on me. Very much recommend
The PA and physician, Jessica Bachman, were professional, efficient and caring. Very thorough in all ways
Update: the negotiated rate for Cigna PPO plans is $570, in case anyone is in my shoes wondering whether they should pay cash or submit through insurance. I’ll definitely return if I have a need and just pay cash with my HSA card and recommend doing the same. All plans are different, but a cash pay for this visit would have cost me half of what I owed after insurance.Eva is an amazing and compassionate practitioner! I wish I could have her for my PCP. She was very thorough with ruling out potential diagnoses and coming up with a treatment plan. The nursing assistant on duty was also really kind and gentle. Bedside manner is important when someone is feeling sick enough to come to an urgent care!Facility was clean, visit was on time. I left with receipts for future HSA reimbursement as well as follow up recommendations without even having to ask. I can’t identify any areas for improvement.Warning to Cigna customers, though: there is a $123 deposit to be seen. This really threw me, and I’m kind of scared to see the bill once they process the claim, because the last few urgent cares I’ve visited were $180 for the visit and took zero deposit. It makes me wonder… if $123 is the deposit…. What will be the total cost? The intake staff was unable to provide me with any information on this based on my plan. They did let me know a cash visit is $165 flat fee. I opted to use insurance since it’s the beginning of the year and I would like to meet my deductible, but the lack of transparency is a little uncomfortable. I don’t blame PIC as much as our dysfunctional healthcare system. Just threw some red flags for me.I’ll definitely use them for future needs, but if the negotiated rate for today’s visit turns out to be unreasonable, I’ll be a cash payer instead.
The physician was extremely thorough in the exam. I saw a NP a less than weeks ago and the appointment was not done thoroughly as my symptoms resurfaced. This nurse went above and beyond to help me. Its not a common skill anymore. Highly recommend the facility and staff. Happy holidays to them all.
Young Doctor was very helpful, waited aVery brief time. Would recommend to others and would go back myself in the future
Very good experience at this place. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, there was a short wait time but for a walk in appointment not bad at all. Their website does offer options to reserve appointment time. Doctor sent my prescriptions to pharmacy at my choice and I had my meds at no time. I would definitely recommend that Immediate Care location if needed.
Ive been here at least four times in the past 8 years, and every time the provider and assistant have been cheerful and reassuring. The last time I had a physical issue Id been putting off for months, and it took two people working together for 90 minutes to get it fixed, but the entire time both were super friendly and made what could have been a scary experience feel like no big deal.
This office has always been fantastic. At first I took my kids here when they were sick on Saturday or Sunday when my pcp was closed. The docs were always great and even have an x-ray machine. Now with three boys we go here often and I could not be more pleased with the care, convenience, and ability to be seen quickly.
Location, friendly knowledgeable staff. I always try this office first, get 5 star treatment, would definitely recommend if cant make it to your doctors office.
I arrived at the Old Town location and the young lady at the desk was very nice and professional, I loved the fact I didn’t have to wait a long period of time to be seen. Daniel the young man that seen me was so kind, knowledgeable, and patient. He did a thorough test and asked plenty of questions to make sure he knew what the correct diagnosis was, they even brought in a second opinion Dr just to double check. I am very pleased with their customer service and would definitely be back. I usually don’t write reviews unless the customer service is phenomenal and that experience was just that. Thank you.
I was feeling sick with cold flu symptoms and went to Urgent Care where I was tested for flu and Covid. I tested positive for Covid. I was treated quickly and given a prescription. I started feeling better within a couple of days. Urgent care is quick, convenient and provides excellent healthcare.
People that work st this office are really nice and caring. I came in for a follow-up consultation as my primary doctor was not available. They shared with me how my healing is progressing and gave me detail notes to take to my primary doctor. Very thoughtful and caring!!
Very difficult to reach anyone after an appointment. Called for follow up question and no one returned my call. They do not provide details of visit at end of visit nor do they offer information about accessing records online. The service at the Northwestern walk-in is far superior.
Easy check in though the phone app.. ladies at the front desk very pleasant .. Doctor Daniel was very professional and on the point. All in all, if in need to visit doctor don’t hesitate to go there.
Came 40 minutes before they closed and no one was at the desk for ~10 minutes. Told me they didn’t take appointments 30 minutes before they closed and didn’t have a doctor on site. Offered a “telehealth” appointment but weren’t able to test for something as simple as strep.
This is a great spot for immediate care. Ive been going there for several years ~ since I moved into the area ~ and they never disappoint. Even during Covid, the wait was manageable. The medical staff is knowledgeable and thorough. (The front desk less so) If you have a routine medical problem (non-life threatening) this is the place to be.
I had an amazingly good experience at Physicians Immediate Care on North Ave. I was experiencing occasional chest pains and wanted to be sure there was no heart issue. My usual clinic could not schedule an appointment soon enough and referred me to PIC. I was able to register online and schedule an appointment for a convenient time after work. When I arrived, there was only a brief wait. Once admitted I was there for about 1 1/2 hours while vitals taken, physical exam, and EKG. Results were reassuring, staff was friendly and professional, and office clean and pleasant. Would highly recommend.
Elizabeth Kowynia and the staff at the Old Town Physicians Immediate Care are great! Elizabeth was thoughtful and careful. I felt more at ease in her care! Thank you to the staff here.
Place was empty and they wouldn’t see my family member in severe pain at 7:31 because they stop taking patients at 7:30.
I went to Physicians Immediate Care on Friday January 13. I had already registered and had an appointment;I was greeted warmly by Myrna and was asked to wait a few minutes. The wait was short and 5hen I met Marquise also wonderful. She led me to an exam room, took my vitals, temperature and asked for my symptoms. She tested me for COVID and Flu with the nasal swabs. Then PA, Ava came in and said that they would do a further lab follow up to confirm the negative results of the nasal swabs which were negative.Ava was very thorough checking my breathing and others concerns that I had.I have received my lab results this morning Saturday January 14.I am very happy that I went to PIC very happy with my care there and I know that I would return again. Great experience, great people!!Tom Maloney
I signed in online and was given an arrival time and filled out forms in advance. My time was only 45 minutes from when I went online. I arrived, all was in order, and I was called in in 5 minutes. A nurse did the prep work and a PA arrived in less than 10 minutes. He was thorough, asked lots of questions, and made a judgment diagnosis on my skin rash quickly. He ordered prescriptions and gave me instructions. He also had a potential backup diagnosis if the first one didnt work with the meds, and gave me a script and info for that. Its been one day so I dont know if the diagnosis and meds are working yet or if Ill have to go to Plan B. But the process was fast and efficient.
Everybody was nice and friendly. They were very informative, professional and helpful. Dr. Eva Doyle was very attentive and listened to what I had to say. I was very pleased with the care and service here. The place was clean and well-organized. And it’s easy to get there. No appointment was needed. It didn’t take me long to be called in. It was a great experience here.
Professional, on-time care. Being able to make an appointment was great. Relieved to hear I (only) had a bad nasal infection, not pneumonia, and only needed antibiotics!
I was treated with empathy, they were very considerate, and took care of me right away. I was impressed with their high level of service.
Truly a disappointing experience. Despite having been to this location previously and being able to use our insurance, they denied our insurance because of a change in ownership. They would not see us unless we paid the full amount upfront, leaving our only option as potentially disputing the amount with our insurance later on. What happened to, “First do no harm?” We are fortunate enough to be able to take our insurance elsewhere, but what about impoverished individuals who could only make it to this location just to be denied service?
I had a really good experience here! I’m a nurse so I tend to have a lot of patience and understanding if things don’t go as expected when I’m the patient, but I didn’t need to have that here! I was not feeling well, went as a walk-in and was out within an hour. The technician who did my vitals and my tests was professional and did a really good job. The provider I saw was friendly and informative and did a thorough exam. I would definitely return here (though I hope I won’t need to haha) and would recommend this location.
They will schedule a same day appointment for you and when you show up tell you there is no physician working that day and you can’t be seen. So you are so lazy and have zero concern for patients health that you could NOT be bothered to call and cancel or reschedule my appointment? Messing with people’s health is unethical and complaints will be filed.
10/10 would definitely recommend. It was very easy to make an appointment. It was Juneteenth and my Primary Care office wasnt open I found them online. The staff was very friendly and it was very quick. I definitely recommend them to everyone.
It’s absolutely the worst and I haven’t even stepped foot into this place. I made a “get in line” appointment the night before and 30 minutes before I get a random text message asking something confidential about my visit. This is a complete violation of HIPAA. Then via text they said the reason I am coming in needs workers comp or need to pay out of pocket except I have been followed for this for months at another urgent care before I moved here. I called the clinic on 6/1 9:30am the the receptionist who answered my called was the absolute worst. She was so rude ending each sentence with “ummm ok….” Will never try to go to another physicians immediate ever again.
Please dont go to these walk in locations. I received a Bill of $168.36 and waited a while before the doctor came. I dont understand why the bill is so high. It says Medical services but not sure if that meant the blood pressure and temperature check. Thats insane!! I waited longer than the amount of time I was with the doctor. Just be cautious when going to these locations.
It’s always a pleasure to come here with my kids. Great service and clean environment.
Ive been to the Old Town location of Physicians Immediate Care twice now, and both times were great! The first time I had an appointment, the 2nd time I did not. I didnt wait long to be seen either time, and all of the people I encountered who work there were friendly and awesome. I would definitely recommend going here!
My husband and I received our first dose of the vaccine here, this week. Scheduling was easy. We received a text to pre-register. We had separate time slots but both only spent minutes upon arriving before being called back. The nurse administering the shot was friendly and professional and went over all the important information. The shot itself was quick and painless! I waited 15 minutes in the lobby to ensure I didn’t experience any sort of reaction, and I was on my way. I have no anxiety about returning for dose 2. Which, by the way, they schedule for you. I’d return to this location.Came back to add: I just received a text, checking in on me and giving a phone number to call if I was unwell, or needed further assistance! 😊
This was my second experience over the course of 2 1/2 years with Physicians Immediate Care on North Avenue. Each time, everyone has been professional and caring. I was able to get same day appointments each time and did not have to wait long. They take my insurance, too, which is great because I’m on an ACA plan. My husband has also had excellent experiences here. I highly recommend this location!
Calm in a storm!I was injured by an elevator door and needed the wound cleaned and dressed right away. The PIC website posts wait times at all locations so we were able to quickly decide the shortest total time (including drive time). We were seen within 5 minutes of walking in. The entire staff was respectful, efficient, and kind. The PA was flawless, answering my questions while expertly checking for fractures and explaining how to care for the wound. The lobby, bathroom, prep room, and treatment room were all clean and well-designed. They had state-of-the-art materials, including a mesh laced with Vaseline to cover the wound so nothing would stick to it. I’ve been to a dozen urgent care facilities and am usually only partially satisfied. This place changed my mind about the whole concept of walk-in clinics. I would add more stars if I could!
Every staff me never was polite and helpful. Even though I was a walk-in patient, they took care of my daughter in a timely manner. The doctor was very nice and informative. I am very please with my care.
I found it easy to make an appointment. The staff was very courteous. For example, we arrived well before the office opened but the receptionist let us in because the weather was very chilly. The nurse kind and efficient. The doctor was patient and attentive. He took time to explain his diagnosis and to answer questions. I was very pleased with the level of care.
The Old Town clinic staff were really friendly. They got me in and treated in an adequate amount of time. I’d visit again for any of my urgent care needs!
I had a fantastic experience at Physicians Immediate Care. I got in quickly and they were quick to determine what was wrong and got me on the path to healing! The staff and PA Daniel were super nice! I really appreciated their professionalism and expertise during my time of need!
Nurse was wonderful! Friendly and so nice. Receptionist could use a bit of work! Never looked up therefore difficult to hear her and not very welcoming! But wouldn’t stop me from going there again.
My experience at Physicians Immediate Care was exceptional. The intake nurse and doctor listened carefully, ordered appropriate tests, and diagnosed my conditions (i.e., I had two problems contributing to my symptoms). I was treated respectfully and compassionately by all team members at the Physicians Immediate Care Center. I would definitely use Physicians Immediate Care again. I recommend it highly.
This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at any sort of medical facility. As someone who deals with frequent sinus infections and countless personal injuries I have grown to be patient and understanding and just sympathetic to those working in medical offices. This, however, was simply UNACCEPTABLE. The office opens to the rudest and most inconsiderate woman at the front desk - she was so bad and inconsiderate that when I asked for assistance and a rough time estimate she simply went to the back to the nursing area and left the front desk empty for well over 30minutes ignoring both me my brother and all incoming patients. They are rude. Inconsiderate. And downright inefficient. It’s unfortunate that the doctor was so nice because if you go here odds are you won’t have the opportunity to speak to the doctor for a minimum of two hours. There’s another urgent care near by… DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
Staff was helpful and efficient up until I saw Daniel Izewski who rushed through my exam, wasn’t familiar with my chart, and interrupted my explanation of serious symptoms multiple times saying “yeah I don’t feel good either”. Izewski was not paying attention as he asked me to pull down my mask when I wasn’t wearing one. His bedside manner was harsh, rushed, inappropriate, and belittling. I had to ask him to re-explain his prognosis multiple times as he spoke at a rate too fast to understand and with a tone void of empathy. I have worked in the medical field for years in covid units and hospitals and could not recommend more that those sick seek care elsewhere. Do not spend your money here and if you do ask for a different doctor.
Not informed well. They representative was poorly trained. She stated that they don’t do medical clearances when I had previously gone for one not long ago. I stated that to her and she became hostile and rude. Claimed that they don’t do them anymore when they clearly do.
It was easy to schedule an appointment online. I was taken into a room not long after arriving. Everyone was nice and made the appointment really easy.
This has been such a convenient clinic. I work right around the corner. Unfortunately I have had the issue of dealing with people who have tested positive for covid, so is nice to have a place close by to go get tested. The waiting time is definitely long, but like any other clinic, hospital etc is busy. I mean, come on we’re in the middle of a pandemic. The staff members and doctors have been super nice.
I usually go to other locations but this was my first time to the old town location since it has shorter wait time on a Sunday morning. it was great! Barely any wait time, the staff was friendly, and doctor who saw me was great! She was very thorough and answered all my questions.
We were understandably nervous getting a COVID test and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The facility was clean, the staff was kind and the results were quick. The staff was so accommodating and professional. I strongly recommend them!
The staff was amazing. The only problem i had was that the Dr. i saw did just that, he saw me and talked through my issue but did not even look at the problem area. I know it us an odd time but put some gloves on and at least examine the area if concern. Thanks for the perspiration and the $165.00 bill for the chat. I was a bit underwhelmed and dont feel as if it was worth my time. Again, the staff was great.
I liked being able to reserve my spot online and see the status of my wait time from my phone. This made it possible for me to wait at home until the medical staff was almost ready for me. Friendly staff and affordable care.
I came in for stitches and only waited about 10 minutes, everyone made me feel reassured and comfortable, the whole thing took less than half an hour
Billing department here is ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS. I’ve been on BCBS insurance for 10 years and have never had a single issue. PICCH sends me a bill for the visit with no coverage. I call my insurance and am told they never received a statement from their office. There’s a $500 charge sitting on my credit card right now that they haven’t taken off, and they can’t manage to get ahold of BCBS. What an absolute joke!
The facility was fine, but I was really inconvenienced because I didn’t have an insurance card or policy number yet due to starting a new job. They refused to call my insurance company to verify coverage citing some corporate policy so I had to self-pay. I will get the pleasure of dealing with my insurance company now. Also, they got the order of patients incorrect so I waited an extra long time to be seen while others who arrived after me were seen first. Accidents happen but given the insurance issue, it was a little off putting.
I was so pleased with the level of service here. I walked in without an appointment, and was directed on how to quickly get set up in their system. Less than 20 minutes after walking in, I saw a PA, who tested me and gave me my results in 5 more minutes.Really professional and personal.
I was a walk in Sunday 9/20/20 to have 6 stitchesremoved in my eyebrow. A staff person took a thorough history and then the PA removed the stitches gently and completely. She explained the after care; my visit lasted about 45 minutes. I am completely satisfied with the care rendered and would recommend this Urgent Carr facility.
This office and medical staff are extremely efficient.there was no wait time and a phycisian diagnosed my condition properly and remedied it immediately. Very friendly staff and clean environment! Excellent!!
Ava, (a nurse practitioner or physicians assistant, Im not sure), is spectacular! Shes so thorough, diagnoses illnesses that are not commonly identified, and goes the extra mile in every way.The administrative staff, not so much...A bit testy and limited ability to help.
Saved us in a pinch when a lab delay elsewhere left us without the results of my daughters Covid test in time for our theater tickets. It was easy to make an appointment online, and we were seen right on schedule, with the test given quickly -- results in fifteen minutes and we were on our way. Staff at the Old Town location were friendly and courteous.
Ive had my toddler tested for Covid multiple times at Physicians Immediate Care and its always been a good experience. Its really easy to book an appointment online, you can check in from your car and then receive a text when theyre ready to call you in, the staff is courteous and professional, the facilities are clean, and the rapid PCR Covid results come back within 15 minutes.
*edits made in response to owners response*I just want to say that the actual experience of getting a rapid PCR test with Physicians Immediate Care is great - staff is timely, the test is done within 10-15 minutes, and its no extra test for a PCR which is often required for travels, and Im grateful that these services are offered. And I hear on the owners end that its a very difficult time now with the spikes in cases and new variant strain, but again just to ask if the appointment scheduling can give patients some ways to plan ahead if possible, especially when its for planned purposes. Or, also list clear instructions on the website so that staff members dont have to answer the same questions over and over.--Original:Used Physicians Immediate Cares services for COVID 19 testing more than a few times over the past year and had great experiences, and now, whatever this new system for sign-up is, its an absolute nightmare and the worst experience ever. I call in few different locations, and although staff members are kind and helpful, theyre also a bit confused on how the system work. The straight answer I got was that they release appointments every 20 minutes starting at 8:10AM, and heres the wild part, ONE APPOINTMENT FOR THE NEXT DAY, EVERY 20 MINUTES. Im up at 8AM refreshing and refreshing for a spot like its some sort of concert ticket drop and not getting any, and monitoring it after work last night yielded the same results. Its insane - who thought this would be an efficient system or good patient experience to stress like this to sign-up COVID test??? Why would you not just list your appointments as available for the next day on the site around the same time? And the staff members have the same access as patients calling in so they cannot help either?? I saw another reviewer post about this, but clearly its not being taken seriously enough to change how frustrating this system is, and to go from a clinic that was reliable for testing to one that Im losing my hair over is so absolutely frustrating because I made my plans around getting tested here again. This is absolutely no jab at the staff members who have been really patient and helpful with my calls, just whoever thought this type of appointment scheduling would be good patient experience. Awful. Absolutely awful.
I have been a few times & every time I go I have had great service & care. Never waited more than 15 minutes.I did have to go back a day later and they did not charge me for a second visit. The staff keeps you informed at all times so you never wonder why you might be waiting or what is next step. They also follow up with you.Highly recommend!!!
Dr. Chartre has the best bedside manner. Shes very welcoming, open and makes you feel comfortable to talk about anything. For this and many other reasons I made her my PCP. The staff is great as well and makes you feel like your medical visit is their priority.
The Primary Immediate Care Center on North Avenue was extremely helpful for our medical needs. The receptionist’s were very welcoming and used precautionary measures for safety. The nurses were very attentive and professional during our visit. The nurse who took our vitals and performed the CoVid test was thorough and gentle. They all were very kind and I am sure smiling under their face masks. Dr. Eva was very thorough in explaining the quarantine recommendations even though we received negative CoVid test results .
Excellent world class profession service! I also received a follow-up call from the medical staff to check on me the next day. The treatment provided was exceptional and arrested the condition for I sought treatment. I can say with confidence I can highly recommend Physician Immediate Care. Thank you, Capt. Q (RET)
Agree with the above! Not organized at all!Have you tried to get tru their phone system? Good luck!Man behind the desk - Hispanic looking - no empathy whatsoever! Came with my vacs card, credit card -that had my name on it, he insisted on my driver license to show. I explained to him that I already was a patient if the clinic in previous years. Didn’t work!He sent me home, despite my head injury that needed immediate care. Disappointed!
Its rare to find doctors that make you feel extremely comfortable with your visit, especially at an urgent care where they havent seen you before. I appreciated my whole experience at this office, from the very short wait time to the warm and helpful doctors. Dr. Gazzi took the time to make sure I was well informed and that I knew how to take care of myself. Overall, one of the best urgent care experiences Ive had.
If this is an emergency, good luck.My experience got progressively worse as my workmans comp case progressed. The lack of communication and transparency between me and the last PA was unbelievable.Never saw an x-ray, never saw a MRI, never saw a doctor.Told them in my check up that my injuries were 60-70% of normal baseline, and they summarized that my condition was resolved and I had no residual disability resulting from my injury, even though I am still not healed/or at 100%.I was told in a previous visit that my persistent pain in my wrist was was result of cyst in my hand developed over time, and that had nothing to do with my worksite fall case pretty much absolving the facility of any further responsibilities...Everyone was in the the non-PA roles were always super friendly and attentive, and that is where the one star comes from.If TeleMedicine is all you can afford or where you are directed to go, Id hope for the best.
Physicians Immediate Care is my go-to urgent care for any and every medical concern I have. Their online scheduling makes it so easy to make an appointment the same-day, and the flexibility to walk-in is also an awesome option. I have never encountered anyone at this location, from front desk staff to PAs to doctors, that has been anything less than incredible and welcoming. Everyone makes you feel heard, comfortable, and optimistic! 10/10 times I choose to go to Physicians Immediate Care over my PCP because of how quick and easy each visit is.
You’ll go in for a scheduled covid test and they’ll ask you “how’re you feeling?”, take your temp and blood pressure really casually and will pass that off as a health check up even though you didn’t request one, then they’ll charge your insurance. It’s a thing a lot of people have been complaining about (according to the person from the clinic’s billing department when I called) and they haven’t done anything to address it…. super fishy!!!
I had a very positive experience at Physicians Immediate Care. First of all, their COVID-related precautions were very professional and executed well. Check-in at the door, including offering sanitizer, taking temperature, etc. They also disinfected and wiped seats down each time a patient left them. The staff was friendly and to the point and the visit was effective, with a very short wait time (
Did a good job providing an appointment. Waiting was minimal. The medical staff was very good. The only problem was completing pre registration as it ask for signatures and then kept asking for them over and over. I would go back if I needed care.
I called ahead to find out if I could get a COVID test yesterday. I rushed over because they told me they only do walk-ins for the next 30 minutes. Once I arrived, I was told that the wait would be over an hour, and that (for some unexplained reason) I couldn’t leave and come back—I had to remain in the small waiting room the entire time.Firstly, I should have been told about the wait on the phone. More importantly, it doesn’t make any sense to force potentially sick people to stay in such a small indoor space (where social distancing was not possible) for an hour just to hold their place in line for a COVID test.
Wow! Kudos to Physicians Immediate Care in Old Town on North Ave. This is a great alternative to going to your Drs office or hospital if you would like faster treatment that’s convenient, professional, reliable and administered by a warm, professional friendly staff. I was able to easily make a appt online twice, once for pneumonia, end of 2022, and most recently for vertigo on 2/24/23. Both PAs, Dan and Eva were superior - very thorough, warm, caring, patiently listened attentively and were very knowledgeable about medical issues. Both ran various needed tests, prescribed appropriate meds and ensured I was well taken care of. I was seen on time, each time nurse who took vitals was great, too. Ive been going to Northwestern campus for over 30 years to see all of my physicians but there’s a huge shortage there now and waits are long at NWN. Thus, I feel so lucky and can’t believe how convenient it is to live next door to this clinic. Their welcoming and much needed presence in the neighborhood brings me much comfort. :-)(Only areas of improvement: office temp is too cold and prefer direct number to their location vs having to go through 800 line. Some receptionists could be a bit more ppl oriented.) Still, I give medical staff a 10, and overall, a 9.7 out of 10!!! Check them out!
We have had to visit a couple of times. Once with a toddler who fell and hit her face and another for an adult with what ended up being a laceration on the pupil. Both times we were seen promptly, the staff was helpful and knowledgeable and it was so much better and more convenient than having to rush to the ER, where we probably would have had to wait for hours. If you need an urgent care, definitely recommend this place.
These clinics are great. Have been a few times and have always been treated promptly and respectfully by the staff. Have never been charged more than $10 or so for a visit. When I visit the pharmacy to pick up treatment afterwards the drugs are already prepared. Nothing extravagant but doesnt need to be. Wish there were more places like this.
This is the second visit I have had to your facility for sensitive situations and your staff has been compassionate, listened empathetically, and resolved my concerns timely. Even though I have moved farther from this location, I will continue to return because of the excellent service I receive from the moment I walk in the door. Thank you for your not only doing your job but doing your job well!
3 star since they were fast and efficient & front desk was very nice.I was having chest pain and shortness of breath. (Covid negative) I asked if it could be do to my IUD. The physician I saw said it would in no way be caused by my birth control. Had the audacity to look at my boyfriend and NOT me when saying you don’t want to have the IUD removed. He also was very frustrated that I seemed nervous.Turns out it WAS the IUD. I was having severe waves of panic attacks from it.
Staff was quick, efficient, and very kind. Dr Gazzi was very thorough and explained everything in detail.Only negative was that the music was too loud but the tunes were good so it wasnt too badUpdate: Came here again recently and had a totally different experience. Staff was rude and dismissive of my concerns. They tried to force me to get a covid test even though I said I didnt need/want one. Very disappointed.
I felt protected from the minute I stepped on your doorstep. You had informed me at the door that I would need my credit card ready and I would go directly to a room. Your staff minimized their contact with me and my son (the one being covid tested). My daughter took A covid test a few weeks ago at another location and I felt both trips were safe and the staff were friendly.
Really annoyed that I checked in my for my annual physical with the young man at the front desk (I told him my reason for being there), waited 30 minutes in the lobby and then got called back up to be told by a Dr. that they don’t do annual physicals anymore. Your front desk staff needs to be trained better to know you don’t handle these types of visits anymore. Also your website had me select a reason for my visit when I scheduled my appointment and the reason I chose was “annual physical” so you may want to think about removing that from your website. I’d hate for someone else to waste their time like I did!
What a refreshing change from the traditional long wait in the waiting room followed by a rushed visit with the doctor! The doctors here really took their time with me and even made small talk. They effectively addressed my issue and took my insurance. No appointment needed, and due to the acute nature of my injury (foot laceration), I was really happy that they could see me right away.
Everyone was so nice with me, I cut my thumb and it was very deep cut so we decided to go to Physicians Immediate Care. They took good care of me the moment we walked in, they did put four stitches in my thumb then I go back in two weeks to have the stitches out. Thank you to everyone who took care of me.Alan Bunting.
I first went here on 7/3/20 for a rapid COVID-19 test. I had to wait in line, they got me registered and told me to come back later. Thats fine. When I came back the process was seamless. You wait in your own room until your results are ready. The MD came in and let me know I was negative and handed me two pieces of paper stapled together. The top paper also said I was negative. Great, Im relieved and leave. Monday I looked at the second paper as I was cleaning out my purse just to see what it said. It was some guide about what to do if you test positive. I called the clinic back immediately and made them reconfirm my results. Apparently, they gave me the wrong second paper but my results were correct. They checked twice. This triggered extreme anxiety all week long so I went back again on 7/10/20 to retest and get a general checkup. It was confirmed that I was completely fine, clear lungs, no issues. I was given a prescription to help calm my nerves. When I got to the pharmacy this evening, the pharmacist said she couldnt fill my Rx because my name was spelled incorrectly and my gender wasnt correct either. They tried to call Physicians Immediate Care and they were closed so I have to hope theyre open tomorrow and can write me a new Rx to be sent to the pharmacy. The past week has been a complete mess and I will never have anyone I care about go to this practice.
I used to go to a minute clinic nearby, but I wouldnt be properly diagnosed, only to end up at my doctors two days later. So the next time I got sick, I decided to try this immediate care since it was also close to where I live. I was able to make an appointment online, was seen in minutes, had test results in minutes, and had my prescription called in!! The office has everything! No need to go anywhere else for an x-ray or blood work. All of the staff are friendly and helpful and work together. Seriously so much easier than going to my doctor in the chaos of Northwestern!
Dr. Gary Fernandez and team was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I was referred to the Urgent Care for chest x-ray due to flu like symptoms and he was able to diagnose based on the imaging confirmation. Dr. Fernandez explained the complications, the medication, and the after care instructions very thoroughly. What I really appreciate about Dr. Fernandez is his attitude to the patient. Most doctor nowadays want to rush you and doesnt have the sense of care, examining patients on a transactional level. Dr. Fernandez showed cared and listened to my concerns. He provided guidance with a personal experience touch on the same diagnosis. Both me and my husband were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge and would come back for future service. Also Dr. Fernandez did a follow up wellness call to confirm the progress of condition which was a very nice gesture after a scary diagnosis and made me feel rest assured that im looked after.
I fell and ended up with cuts and a dislocated shoulder. The staff was amazing. Joel the X-ray tech was sympathetic and very patient with me.Dr. Gazzi was also kind and she was able to put shoulder back in place with me having to go to ER. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. Definitely recommend going there in an emergency. The rest of the staff was also great.
Kid did something to their wrist on a Sunday — still don’t know what it was, but love living close to Physician’s Immediate Care: just walked in, checked in, waited for like five minutes, and were in to see the NP. She was super nice (the staff here all are, and the clinicians have the best bedside manner anywhere), checked everything out, got us to X-Ray (they did around a dozen!), had the images reviewed by TWO radiologists, determined no break/fracture, told them to keep it immobilized, splinted it up, and sent us on our way! We were out of there within an hour! Oh, and all we had was a nominal copay as they figured out our insurance coverage on the spot. This was not our first visit to PIC, and it’s increasingly becoming our go-to place for medical care.
My first impression of the Physician Immediate Care was that it was very clean & the staff were very welcoming. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. I would most definitely recommend someone in need of immediate attention to stop in for a treatment & or counsel if your primary family doctor isn’t available.
I’ve been to this location twice now and am very impressed with the entire staff! They are efficient, knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. I feel very lucky to have them so close. It is and will remain my first choice to go to for medical attention.Grateful,Lynda Zalutsky
The best urgent care clinic in the neighborhood, if not the whole city. The service, professionalism and expertise are superb. Everyone was super helpful and highly competent, especially Daniel Izewski, PA and Jamie. I highly recommend this clinic for your urgent care needs.
Long wait but attentive service.
The attentiveness of the staff and professionalism of everyone from the doctors to the people that check us in is a stark contrast from what someone may expect when they think of urgent care. I am beyond pleased with my visits to the Old Town clinic, both in the knowledge of the people treating me, the follow-up care, the low wait times, and the overall cost.
This was my 2nd time at this facility, great care both times. It was easy to get an appointment, no wait when I got there, professional & courteous treatment throughout. Highly recommend.
I came here today cause I sprained my back and have a hiking trip I’m leaving for tonight. The doctor was kind, informative, and provided me with the things I would need to heal quickly. I am so grateful they got me in quickly as a walk-in and took the time to talk to me about my situation.
I usually go to Northwestern Emergency Care but after I moved, this is closer. Saw the Physicians Assistant JoJo and was the best experience I’ve ever had. She went above and beyond to make sure all my concerns were addressed. Never going back to Northwestern, amazing experience.
The appointment was easy to make, I filled out all the paperwork online. When I arrived I was seen immediately and they had me out of there in 15 minutes. They took my insurance and I only made the copay! If need be I’ll definitely go there again!
I came in for a broken ankle. I do not come in to walk-ins. I had been to University of Chicago prior and received imaging. After a couple hours of waiting, unfortunately I could not wait an additional 2 1/2-3 hours per notice of the staff, to see a doctor because my mother was receiving chemo at that time. She had complications and I needed to leave, forcing me to continue walking on a broken ankle for 3 days. When I arrived at Physicians Immediate Care, they were receptive, caring, and quick. I will keep them in my back pocket should I or anyone I know need to come in with a cold, flu shot, or whatever ails them.
I just have good things to say about this office and Dr Gazzi. I always feel very welcomed, the waiting is very minimal and the customized care is a plus. Highly recommended if you need your annual visit done or if an unexpected emergency happened.
I came here to be evaluated for a sore throat and was extremely disappointed in the care received. I am also in the healthcare field and work as a physician assistant. I will say that I was evaluated quickly and efficiently with the total visit taking about an hour and a half (including a 45 minute wait after walking in). My initial encounter with the physician assistant was when he came in to tell me that my rapid strep and covid PCR were negative. He didnt bother to do an exam or ask me a single question. Diagnostic tests are not 100% accurate and I would hope that clinical evaluation and medical judgment would be used to help aid a treatment plan. Unfortunately this was not the case.
I was lucky enough to see Dr Gary Ray Hernandez on Dec 27th 2019. Dr Hernandez was beyond kind, respectful and thorough during his time with me. I came into the clinic very scared and (and kind of embarrassingly close to having a panic attack) due to gastrointestinal bleeding, which scared me half to death. He took his time to make sure I felt safe, heard and valid. Before seeing Dr Hernandez I had presented to the ER for the same symptoms and had the completely opposite experience. I had felt ignored, invalidated and like the staff found me to be a nuance. Not my experience with Dr Hernandez and the other clinicians on staff. I came away from the experience still feeling physically unwell but reassured with follow up steps and referrals to specialists. I felt really respected and safe within his care.
I had the worst experience while getting my covid report for my travel. They didn’t help me adjust the report and they were really rude on the phone as well as at the clinic. I had to visit their office thrice but they didn’t add a small sentence in the report . Luckily on my fourth visit they had a different staff at the office and they adjusted the report and I was able to fly.
Unbelievable service! Thorough, knowledgeable, clean, friendly, prepared, patient, no wait, minimal paperwork, well-equipment, caring, and quick movement through the next steps! The staff was pleasant and quick to serve. The doctor had valuable information and was there to help. Wonderful people; excellent experience!
Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Brought my 10 year old in for what we thought were hives and they pinpointed what the cause was. Very thorough communication and follow ups.
My Doctor Dr. Nee of Presence Health Care recommended I go to Physicians Immediate Care to have the gash in my head looked at. When I arrived at Physicians I was quickly processed through, and met with Alahundra who examined the gash, and she cleaned out the gash. After that Alahundra brought in Rachel who examined the gash, and recommended that I have stitches.Rachel gave me Novocain to numb the area, and then started stitching the gash. In all I had 8 stitches. After that she put some antiseptic on the area, and put a band-aid on to protect the stitches.Dr. Chartree came in to review the work done, and was pleased with the resultsShe set up an appointment for me to return on Saturday to check on the stitches. I returned on Saturday, and everything looked fine.I am now scheduled to have the stitches removed on Tuesday.I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff, and will recommend Physicians for any emergency health issues.
This was my first time going to an urgent care since moving to the city, so I was a bit nervous. That quickly changed though because everyone was amazing, especially Jamie Hitro. Everyone was very personable, listened, and very kind.
I went in with inflammation in my elbow, very worried and in quite a bit of pain. Dr. Fernandez and their team were super helpful and got me taken care of quickly, with X-rays and support for the bursitis. Appreciated the fast help (and how they put up with some slightly pain-induced jokes).
I had last visited prior to the pandemic but all my information was retained and it was easy to make an appointment, upload needed information. The PA took my health concerns seriously and provided a prescription, a recommendation, and a PT referral.
This is the best experience I have ever had at an urgent care facility. From the moment I walked in, with a potential ACL tear, the team could not have been more helpful. I cannot thank, or say enough great things about the folks here. I was in a great amount of stress when I walked in, due to numerous issues with insurance, etc. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND, and took care of EVERYTHING for me. Amazing service and true human care. They are rockstars at this office.
Made an appointment for an xray. No waiting time. Very clean. Very fast. PA knowledgeable and helpful. Good follow up.
I was traveling from Iowa to west Africa through Chicago. I found out that I had the wrong COVID test and I needed a new negative results test. I made my appointment online at midnight and was able to get in and out with my results within one hour. Great staff, very professional!
Ive visited the Old town Physicians Immediate Care location a few times for various reasons ranging from the common cold to intense back pain and every visit has been quick, easy and enjoyable under the circumstances. Im always greeted with a smile. I appreciate the staffs professionalism and knowledge.
Extremely rude on the phone and did not give me any clear instruction on how I could get an appointment for a COVID test. I thought I was asking reasonable questions about the difference between walk-ins and appointment scheduling (and how soon I could get a test) but I guess the maam on the phone didnt have any time for me.
I first went to the Walgreen medical center on north and Wells. The nurse was obviously lazy that night bc she was closing up the facility 30 min early. When I said it was 30 min before closing, she said all the spots were taken. She had just turned off the lights and was the locking the doors. It’s was an obvious lie. I then went to the emergency care down the street and omg they were incredibly helpful and professional. I will now ONLY go to the old town critical care on north Ave (near Clark) from now on!!!
My experience was excellent. The staff was helpful and well informed. I would strongly recommend the Physicians Immediate Care should you have any concerns about Covid and related matters. An excellent resource.
My go-to urgent care location for years now. Everyone is very nice and friendly, which you dont always get at medical facilities. Thanks to the team for the awesome care :)
Excellent staff and good service.
This location was way out of our way to go but it was worth the 45 minute bus ride. The one on Milwaukee on the other hand was much closer and not even worth the phone call I made to them. My husband had to take a pre employment covid test and when I called they said we dont do that and the company should know better however when I call the old town location they were so helpful and kind also very confused as to why I was told that by the other location. I was able to email the paper work to them and it was waiting for him when he got there. In and out in under 40 minutes. They handled all the intake precautions with great detail and for a Friday did it all with a kind demeanor. I hope that the Milwaukee office gets things together an act more professional in the future.
I came on a Sunday and didnt experience a very long wait, although there were a few other people there. The nurse and doctor who saw me were both very professional and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Gustas was extremely nice and went out of his way to address every concern I had, even a sports injury unrelated to my bronchitis. I would definitely come back here over Walgreens any time.Second Visit Review:I came back here in November complaining of a pain in my side and their suspicions about it were completely right. They told me I needed to go to the ER and even helped me find one that was close by AND they called the ER for me to check on the wait times. I was admitted to the ER immediately thanks to them and ended up having emergency surgery. I cant thank them enough for their kind care and extreme helpfulness.
As a first timer visiting a walk-in clinic, I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism by both medical and support staff without the accustomed pomp and circumstance many hospital clinics put a patient through. I arrived early and was seen early with minimal paperwork. I was seen by Dr. Gazzi and found her to be attentive to my complaints. I would strongly recommend this clinic for sound medical treatment without the frills
Called ahead of time to schedule a Covid test in order to make sure I am not inadvertently spreading the virus while traveling to other states. They told me to schedule the appointment online and provide a driver’s licence and insurance card. I submitted all required information and upon arrival they took my debit card BEFORE they told me I did not qualify for a Covid test even if I paid out of pocket. This was not the original message. That’s why I called in advance to clarify. This is very unethical as I put myself at risk by coming in for a consultation.
I’ve used this location twice, both for cuts that needed stitches. They are very professional and do a very good job. Very affordable too, I swear by urgent cares and I will continue to use this location in the future.
As a US citizen settled abroad, I was relieved to find a place near my brothers workplace on a Monday morning that completes rapid PCR tests for COVID-19 (though the material specifics of the testing results was not clear on the website). While the online booking process was quick and simple, the waiting, examination, and billing process at the clinic was not. My partner and I were pretty shocked at the difference between the billing breakdown suggested by the FAQs section online and what we were asked to pay in person. To clarify the self-pay option breakdown, I tried calling the corporate number and billing office but only reached voicemail boxes. Given our time crunch with an impending flight to take, free or more affordable testing options elsewhere, the poor information online, the non-responsiveness of the management, and at this point thin level of trust with the staff, we left the place with a bad impression - not only of this clinic and how its workers and patients might be (mis-) informed or treated, but more broadly of the healthcare situation in the United States. Unfortunately reminds me why I left the US. I would not recommend this practice to anyone I care about, which I now see has been a sentiment articulated by several reviewers before me. One hopeful observation remains, perhaps - I now see the online FAQs regarding COVID-19 testing specify the billing breakdown more completely (missing information before regarding the multiple fees and amounts the uninsured are billed to pay out of pocket). I hope this helps other people without health insurance in the US make better decisions about where to go for COVID-19 testing than we initially did (for example: tests at the Curative.com COVID-19 mobile units are a bit outside central Chicago, but were paid for fully by the CARES act, have more cohesive and specialized staff, use less intrusive sampling protocols, and are much more transparent about their testing, financing, and results).
They saw me fast and I appreciated that I could schedule online, the doctor was a little abrasive. I know its not his fault, but he said he couldnt do anything for my ulcer symptoms, extreme pain and dehydration from vomiting blood all morning so I needed to go to an ER hospital (warning me it could take hours). I was in and out in 10 minutes but they still took my 20 dollar co-pay, so the last thing I wanted to do was go wait in an ER and spend more money.I went to the IV Me clinic down the street on wells who saw me quickly and got me hydrated up. Felt better and they even added in anti-nausea meds and pain relieve to my IV. Then I could manage to get down some Peptic AC and was better by the evening. That will be my first choice over emergency clinics when possible in the future.
My grandson was visiting me from out of town and had terrible pain in his ear- it was late at night and I didn’t know where to go- I was so pleased with the PA at this Urgent Care- he immediately gave hime some pain relief medication and prescribed an antibiotic- in a few hours he felt so much better- thank you for seeing him so quickly and making him better- I highly recommend this Urgent Care!
Went for a COVID-19 test, and it took a while in line (I think 75% of Old Town was waiting in line with me), but the staff is all super-friendly, and make it easy to fill out everything you need. When it was time for my actual test, I was in and out in about 15 mins. Thanks!
This place seams to be more motivated with pumping out pricey covid tests than they do about the actual wellness of their patients. After asking some generic questions about symptoms over an intercom they made we wait outside in the frigid cold and register myself over my phone before I could enter the waiting area. I wasnt even there for Covid but because there just so happens to be overlap between Covid symptoms and every other illness out there I was treated like a contagious liability with no actual thought to my well being. I realize everyone is scared of Covid and they are being precautious but it just seam unethical to me to have someone in need of medical attention trying to fill out important health information in the freezing cold when there is an open waiting room available.
Unexpectedly needed a (very) last minute covid test. i’m not from anywhere near here but this clinic made it so very simple for me to visit as a walk in client. i provided my insurance card and was in and out in less than an hour. the actual covid results literally only took 15 minutes. this has by far been the easiest (of many) covid tests i have taken. thanks for making a this visit such an easy process! i actually had a harder time figuring out where to park 😂
I have been coming here since they first opened...always very friendly & accommodating & have gotten me thru every illness. Today at 10am, Nov 25, I call to see if they r open. I need a covid test due to a hospital procedure on Nov 29. I do not have access to internet & only have a landlines phone. The male that answered phone WOULD NOT make an appt for me. What are seniors to do in this situation? I am not happy & will not refer anyone to them ever again. Covid testing is by appt only, by the way and I am using a neighbors phone to write this. Since I now know how unaccommodating this one person was to me, I will not schedule on line with neighbors phone.
They were very nice. Prompt and made me feel super during the procedure. It felt like a family l. They cared and ensured I felt relaxed and in good hands.
Everyone was really great! Made me extremely comfortable and made the process easy. I think it was because of the overall great energy! Kudos to the staff!
Even though my visit was a routine visit to get a COVID test, everyone was very informative and always shared what the next step would be. You always knew where you were in the processI had a lot of sniffling that turned out to not be COVID related, yet the PA went above and beyond and gave me valuable advice on over-the-counter drugs that was very helpful for the runny nose condition.
Neighborhood gem! Knowledgable staff, efficient, courteous, organized, clean premises. Very good experience to get a first COVID test. In house lab that processes the PCR tests results while you wait….fantastic!
The clinic is very efficient and the staff is friendly. They had just stopped taking walk-ins but were kind enough to take me.I’ve seen the PA twice and she is very thorough.
No insurance? You will receive a bill for $200 for a COVID test (speaking from experience). Other clinics in the city still provide tests for free. I recommend any of the Innovative Express Care clinics, which, as of August 2021, were still offering tests free of charge without insurance.
Had to get a COVID test in order to travel to Europe- it was very easy to schedule and register online. We got our test results in 15 minutes with clear written results
Super helpful and efficient. They answered all questions I had concerning COVID-19. One thing I would recommend is that when testing capacity is reached (often early in the morning), they should be clearer on either the website or with signs on the door. Overall, great staff and great service!
Went in for a COVID test and everything was extremely efficient. The doctor sat with me and walked through my results and was never in a rush. I also had the test results back within 15 min.
Staff was honestly not good - went in for what i thought was a stress fracture on my foot and wanted an x Ray. They immediately went to give me an x ray without looking at my foot then did the x ray without moving metal objects away (my keys, phone, etc. we’re on my lap). On top of that they said i sprained my foot and when i requested my copies of the X-ray they gave me a hard time about it.Anyways they put the the x rays on a disc and as i thought - i had a stress fracture. Place was trash but prolly good for like immediate flu type of stuff, not what i dealt with. Thank for you the x ray tho
I got suddenly very sick, and they were able to fit me in last minute. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I saw the PA and she was smart, friendly, and thorough. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for your help!
I had no idea this was a COVID19 testing site until I was on my way home from a run. The line for the testing (or just the clinic but with what’s going on it’s likely all for testing) is outside and the individuals waiting in line are of course not social distancing or even moving out of the way to allow people to walk in the sidewalk- this is a serious public health risk. I have no desire to walk on the same side of the road as these people or let alone have to pass them closely and risk getting what they have. The clinic needs to enforce social distancing, require masks, or have better logistics in place for the influx of people it’s attracting and move the people away from the busy pedestrian area.
One of the most expensive medical facilities in Chicago.I went to this facility just to check a cut that I had on my finger. After a long wait the Dr checked the cut and said not stitches are need and that was it, less than a minute. They charged me about $300 which after insurance discount turned into $200 which I had to pay out of pocket as my deductible. I do not recommend this facility unless your insurance is paying the whole bill.
Friendly staff and very well organized. My daughter was taken back in a quick and timely manner. Quality patient care all around!
Have an appointment in 5 minutes. Doors locked, lights off. Can’t get anyone to pick up the phone. Says they have appointments all day
The man at the front desk was one of the rudest people I have ever met. He would not work with me and I had to wait 2 HOURS to be seen when there was only 4 people in the waiting room. Very disappointed and do not recommend going to. My family works in healthcare and it’s a disgrace that some people work in healthcare and don’t care about people.
Great location with the easy option to schedule an appointment online and see live-wait times online. Though, when I arrived Saturday afternoon there was hardly any wait. Easy check-in, quick service, very friendly staff.
Fast efficient appointment registration and check-in process. Nice and professional staff, super clean waiting and exam rooms. PA was very thorough. Convenient hours.
Good last possible resort.. waited an extended period of time after being called into a room (one hour with no updates), also extremely, extremely pricey be ready to pay $250-$300 for a visit after insurance. Not going back personally
Went for a COVID test. Called beforehand to make sure I would be able to receive a test based on me being asymptomatic and the state I was traveling to. Was told I could receive a test. Showed up in the morning, waited 1+ hrs, then was turned away because I was told the wrong info. Get your facts straight please.
Very efficient care. Well-organized and a deep discount compared to traditional health care.
This has been the only place where I have been able to get a rapid test. I was very happy with the service. However, the website is difficult to navigate and employee morale seemed very low when I arrived at the clinic.
Best urgent care Ive been to. Dr. Valdez and staff were incredibly helpful and so nice and caring. Made sure I had everything I needed to get to feeling better. Highly recommend!
Visit was fine- it’s the billing that’s a rip. For a visit with an X-ray, it says on their website it should cost around $225 if you self pay. For the same visit and an X-ray, they charged my BCBS insurance $660, which I’m on the hook for. Get ready to get an overpriced bill if you have insurance and go here.
I was just there name is Hope. I saw dr. Gazzi and she’s been wonderful and very helpful. However, it’s been hard for me to keep an appointment with her because of health issues and running back and forth to Kentucky. I was referred to pain management which didn’t appear to know about my complicated health history so I went back only for another female physician not dr. Gazzi but another doctor that said she wouldn’t help me nor write me my medications that’s really dangerous to just stop cold turkey. Both medications I’m on can cause seizures if stopped so suddenly without being tapered at least. This lady said that it was my fault! I’m a patient not a medical doctor. Doctors such as herself should be held accountable if seizures do occur or even death. If you’re a doctor you’re well aware of the dangers you’re causing your patients. I just pray and hope that she doesn’t treat anyone with such negligence. Issues like this get over looked more often than not and it’s so wrong.
After waiting for 25 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time, and seeing many people who arrived after me being taken care of, I went to the reception desk and asked when I could expect to be seen. I was then immediately taken care. It was obvious that they had forgotten about me. The care that I received was then prompt and professional.
I made an appointment online with ease. They are strictly enforcing Covid safety protocols. From check in to exit I was met with staff that was careful to listen and to answer questions. I would visit again if the need arises.
I got covid tested there and it was an incredibly positive experience. The nurses were very kind and comforting. I didn’t have to wait at all after I arrived
Minimal wait, attentive care, and even a follow-up inquiry the next day to check on the injury status. A great experience. Thank you to the wonderful staff and MDs on hand for your outstanding service and care.
Nice staff and doctors/PA’s. Every time I have been, there hasn’t been a long wait and I’m usually seen pretty quickly once I’ve been brought to a room. Even though it might look a little sketchy from the outside, it’s a very nice and clean facility.
Everyone was friendly and warm, handled our rapid PCR Covid tests and flu shots quickly and easily. Highly recommended!
Be prepared for a very long wait for a rapid covid test. I waited in a room for over an hour and ended up leaving because I was told it was going to be quite a while before I was seen for my results. Do not recommend
They were awesome! I’m very comfortable with my Primary doctor but recently moved to Chicago and had a great experience here
Super easy! Staff was nice. Jessie was awesome! So friendly and efficient. Wait time was not long. Would definitely recommend!
I’ve been to the center here three times and was highly satisfied each time. The staff are professional and friendly. The service is the best. I’m so happy I live close to it and I will use it as needed in the future without hesitation.
The physician and entire staff were excellent and kind. They saved the day during a minor emergency I experienced while traveling out-of-town. Highly recommend this clinic!
Excellent help with a bursitis injury that recurred after years out of nowhere. I’ve been here before and they’re a top not urgent care operation. Highly recommend their help.
I am so happy I wondered into Physician’s Immediate Care; 141 W North Ave.; Chicago, IL. Within 45 minutes I walked out with an antibiotic prescription to address diagnosed pneumonia (consultation, stethoscope listening, xrays—voila pneumonia). I was to come back in 48 hours to make sure antibiotic working. I did go back, and it was and is working. Six days ago, I was in very, very bad shape. I don’t know how much longer I would have denied my really bad shape—green tea, tumeric, green tea, zinc. Sometimes you also need an antibiotic.
Excellent care as always! I was seen by Jamie Hitro. She is very sweet and smart. The following day I was already feeling better. Thank you so much Jamie, and oldtown staff! If I could I would give 10 ⭐️!
I came in with a potential concussion because this location was the closest to the location I was injured at. The front desk lady ignored us and made no effort to admit me or address the reason for my visit. Urgency/concussion aside, this was terrible care.
Wonderful services, fast. Dr. Gazzi saw me without much wait, and her advice was valuable. Kind, addresses & listens to your concerns. I never felt rushed.
Very kind and welcoming staff. I was there for COVID-19 testing and didn’t have to wait long to get in, also the whole testing/result process was not long at all.
The staff were very friendly. The PA was very informative and helpful. Overall, I had a good experience.
After 15 minutes on hold, I had to hang up. If these knuckle-heads can’t manage their own phone system, how in the world can I allow them to manage my health?
The staff was extremely helpful.
Had bad dog bite . This place was Easy, convenient, had an appt with no wait and I felt well taken care of .
Very professional service. Knowledgeable practitioners.
