I tested positive for COVID in my home expired test; in a panic, I showed up at the Midwest Express Clinic without an appointment. The receptionist was very polite and, after having me fill out some necessary paperwork, I was called in by the nurse practitioner. The second test came out positive as well but, the nurse practitioner put me at easy by explaining the new CDC guidelines. He gave me a prescription for the wicked sore throat and, I was on my way. Great service, very efficient, great atmosphere and also, parking.
My experience here at this facility was a good one even though I had to wait a bit. Once in the room I saw Brittany who asked me what was going on with me, then she went the extra mile to get an X-ray, then prescribe what I needed. She told me if by next week I still wasn’t feeling right, to come back so they could make sure I’m feeling better and this is not lingering. All in all, a great experience!
Although the waiting room was crowded, the staff took extra care to check everyone in efficiently. My Covid test result was quick and I was able to go home in less than 15 minutes. The staff was extra kind and helpful.
I received care here recently and the staff was excellent. I really felt like they cared and everyone was kind. I received better care here than from my own PCP. All of staff were wearing masks too which I really appreciated. It was a pleasant experience.
Went in specifically for labs an imaging and the doctor hardly examined me, but after I insisted on labs did complete them. However, the office failed to deliver the samples to the lab appropriately, so I received no results as the samples provided were deemed unusable due to poor handling.I never received a call from the doctor to discuss this, but they were quick to charge $150 for a visit (yes, they require card up front so they can charge at anytime with whatever amount they choose without providing an itemized receipt). Avoid this place at all cost - definitely worth waiting in a real ER as an alternative.
This place was fast and convenient, there goal is to get you in and out in a hour, thats true. However on my chart the x ray technician said I was extremely uncooperative because I refused to straighten my arm. Its broken and its extremely painful to bend it so instead I did what I could to accommodate the process, said please and thank you. Idk why they wrote that on my little chart.
Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by a friendly receptionist. Filled out a few papers and was seen within 15 minutes by the one of the PA’s. She listened well and asked appropriate questions as to what kind of medical help I was seeking. A decision was made and a prescription was sent to a local pharmacy. Very professional and friendly.
I had an excellent time here! I had gone swimming and lost hearing in my left ear for more than a day. I came here hoping for them to give me some kind of medication for swimmers ear but they detected a totally different problem! They irrigated my ear and my hearing came back better than ever within minutes. Short waits and kind people. So thankful for their kindness & help!
Best urgent care in the area! I always come here and bring my children to this location as well. The entire staff is extremely friendly and the wait is no longer than 20 minutes to be seen. Tonight Emily and Jay checked us in. Provider Maryn was super helpful and quick. I always recommend this urgent care to anyone I speak to!
I had the need to visit this office while in town for vacation. Check in was simple, the facility was clean, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to get in, treated, and out all in less than an hour. Grateful I found this office during an emergency!
My visit to Midwest was organized and pleasant. I secured a reservation online prior to coming which made the process easier. I only had to wait a short time before getting seen. The doctor was efficient and understood my problem. I highly recommend Midwest Express.
I highly recommend this clinic! Everyone is so friendly and helpful- I had been sick for over a week and nothing seemed to be working. The nurse practitioner really took her time to evaluate my symptoms and figure out the best treatment- I’m finally feeling better!! 10/10!!
Great overall experience. Online registration was quick and easy, wait time was minimal, and the staff was wonderful all around. I would go there again for any acute medical needs.
Got an ultrasound here in 2-days after coming into another Midwest Express with symptoms. They were friendly, efficient, professional and communicative. Was excellent care and customer service / bedside manner.
Always a great experience. I rely on them for all of my urgent care needs. I’m never disappointed; the ease of scheduling, etc is flawless, in addition to wonderful caring professionals. I highly recommend.
I came here when I was sick & was very impressed with the level of care I received. The doctor and other staff were attentive and caring and the prices were surprisingly low for out of pocket treatment!
We have used Midwest Express several times for sick appointments. Very professional. Quick, efficient service every time. Follow up questions answered by phone easily and conveniently. Great place to go for care.
My experience with Midwest Express Clinic was great. To make this story short. I was walking down the street for some reason I failed face totally on the sidewalk. Gentleman help me up, he insisted I go to the urgent care office it was just steps away. When I got there I was seen within 5 minutes I was taken care of good thing it was nothing serious just a couple of facial scars and a busted lip.
They will charge your credit card without authorization and then tell you “it was a mistake” and never refund your money. You will have to call 23 times to get the issue resolved yourself.Midwest Express is a pathetic company and I would recommend spending the 5 hours at an ER over going to one of their establishments.
If you just need a COVID or Strep test, they can help you with that. If you need someone with a basic understanding of anatomy as well as allergies vs. viral/bacterial infections, I would not come here. Overall, disappointed with the experience here. If you have other options, I would try those first.
The people who work here care. Over a year ago I came in with an ear infection, and the person who helped me was concerned that I hadn’t had a regular dr.’s visit in awhile since having kids. She ran me through lots of tests even though I hadn’t initially asked for them and she detected something which was later diagnosed as a serious condition. This could have gone undetected for many more years and would have required more extreme intervention. I’m so grateful to people like this in the medical field. Thank you.
This clinic is very professional and nice. The clinic has the best Vibe. This was my 1st time at Mid Expess Clinic. It will be my go to when I need to see a doctor immediately! Thanks.
I made an appt to be told gender because I read could find out gender as long as you’re 15wks. Well, day of my appt I received a call at 9am but I missed it and they left a voicemail saying they had questions before I went in. I ignored it because I was planning to go in for my appt at 1pm that day, which would be my only day off that’s why I made the appointment prior. Anyway when I get there they told me I wasn’t booked for an appointment at that location and practically made it seem like I just went to the wrong location. I let them know i specifically wanted that location and where they had me booked for was way too far from me so there was absolutely no way I’d ask for an appointment there. & the other problem was they don’t even do ultrasounds at that location is what they told me. So I had to wait an hour because they had another 1pm appointment and I had to wait with the exception that I probably wouldn’t be seen if they couldn’t squeeze me in. Anyway I waited because as I mentioned it was my only day off and I had already waited weeks for that appointment & I couldn’t bear not knowing a gender yet since I was at 16 weeks already. Thankfully they took me in after an hour of wait and miraculously their other appointments didn’t show up so I didn’t have to be rushed but at the end what bothered me was, the ultrasound tech gave me the wrong gender. I left with an uneasy feeling because for one, baby was being difficult and wouldn’t position properly (which I know is not ultrasound techs fault at all) but when she finally was able to get a position she asked us which was more common in my partners and I’s family.. and with the responses we gave she said she was 90% certain of the gender she told us because my partner said that’s what ran in his family and she said males overpower females genes in that case. I’m a first time mom and even when she said that I felt it wasn’t right just to base it off what’s more common in my partners family. Anyway, she said her congratulations and gave us the hard drive that didn’t even have anything labeled on pictures (thank god because gender was wrong anyway) and said my 20 week ultrasound would confirm for me again. Well, a week later at 17 weeks I did the NIPT with my OB and results were complete opposite. Just disappointed and believe the tech should’ve just said she couldn’t tell because after being told the correct gender I can clearly see in the ultrasound that the parts she was pointing at absolutely do not correspond to the gender she told us. & it gave me a little gender disappointment only because we had immediately told family and they, including us, started buying for that gender we were initially told. Glad I only paid $35 but definitely a waste considering the rollercoaster I went through.
I had an excellent experience here recently. The provider made me feel safe and listened to, she answered all of my questions and talked me through everything I was doing.
I have been to the lake view location and the Roscoe village location. Both times all of the staff was very nice and helpful. In and out very quickly as well
Everyone was extremely kind and considerate to my son who fractured his elbow while we are on vacation in Chicago. They were professional and treated him well. I would recommend this location to anyone.
The receptionist is very nice and friendly. Ut you expect a real services from the clinic. On their website they say they have an ultrasound. We’ve got the appointment and went there, but this was not a real appointment, it was the appointment to get the appointment. We have checked if they have this specific type of service and got a real appointment next day. But during our next visit they said they have no such kind of service in their clinic. This is super unprofessional.
I’ve been getting lipo b12 shots for the past 5 weeks and it’s helped tremendously. No appt needed as I am in and out as soon as I check in. It’s helped with my overall energy.
Do not come here. They’re completely incompetent and unprofessional. I sat there for an hour while some lady at the front counter tried to figure out insurance information. If you can’t do your job then you shouldn’t be there. Not one apology for wasting my time either. Complete and utter TRASH. I wouldn’t trust my family with these numb sculls.
Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Didnt have to wait long to get my Lipo B injection. I highly recommend.
SAVE yourself and DO NOT GO HERE. I repeat, do not go here. I have been here in past and it was okay & now it has gotten worse. The nurse assistant was in rush, she wouldnt listen to symptoms, wouldnt listen to issue and just go on about what she thinks is happening. The medicine she prescribe made symptoms worse. Oh, and get basis of prescribing the medicine was, I like xyz medicine. I dont care what you like, give me what I need. Oh, and on top of that, she literally spent 4 mins talking to us. 4 mins and two days since Im still very sick. What a waste of time, money, and health. Again, do not go here. Save yourself.
Had bad cough went in got diagnosed given prescriptions and released. Wonderful caring medical professionals from front desk to provider office. I highly recommend Experity if you need urgent care.
Great place. Quick and easy for your standard health problems. Always nice people and I’ll be back. (Well, I hope not, but I’m sure I will)
Had a good experience. Quick check in, and didnt wait long to be assisted either. Facilities are very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend pre-registering online if a first time patient.
Very efficient and friendly. Doctor made a clear diagnosis and what needed to be done. Great all around!
Went there on a Wednesday for my daughter. They got us in pretty fast. I had a question few days later pertaining to our visit & called in at around 7pm. Jessica picked up the call & was of great assistance. She was so helpful & answered all my questions. I asked her for her name because I wanted to write this review mentioning how great her customer service was & her professionalism. I will definitely recommend this facility.
Do not come here if you are in a hurry, and dont expect the wait time you signed up for to be honored or accurate. The people were perfectly nice, but the overall company needs to get their system working or let people know how long the wait ACTUALLY is BEFORE they pay.
After a visit in October I received a very high un-itemized bill. After much back and forth I finally received an itemized bill and discovered they had triple billed me for the same service which is why my insurance failed to cover it. Shockingly unprofessional and unethical behavior.Ive now spoken with the billing department multiple times months apart, and they apologize and promise to refund me. And then I receive another bill. Appalling and illegal conduct.
I don’t have a primary doctor because I rather come here whenever I feel sick and always have the best care. I usually don’t trust anyone to see me when I am sick and I reference all my coworkers, family and friends to come here.
From registration to medical assistant to physician, everyone was kind and helpful and everything went smoothly and quickly. So appreciate having Midwest Express Clinic close by for times when needed. Will not hesitate to visit again if need be.
I was so impressed and I am thankful for visitingMidwest Express, especially the location at 3301 N Ashland . What made it best was my caregiver Amy. She was knowledgeable experienced and caring The best I wish she could be my primary Thats how good she was
Was advised when checking in that my insurance would cover and there would be no cost. Got billed 400 bucks a month later. Avoid this clinic.
Never a wait, prompt attention, and just great service. I’ve been to this location twice now and always have the the best experience with the most caring and fun staff
Everyone i interacted with was pleasant, friendly and professional. They got me in and out quickly and issue resolved.
I am astonished at the extensive lacking in administrative capability from this chain of ‘clinics’. While the physician who I saw (for all of 5 minutes) was able to help me and did seem genuinely concerned, the cost of her aid came with an unimaginable nightmare of follow up for basic prescriptions and X-rays.TLDR: I waited over 6 hours for a message to my physician to get passed along and this was after additional negligence and unnecessary complications from administrative staff members. Filter by other 1 star reviews and you’ll see similar stories of patients being forgotten, told incorrect information, and being mistreated. The longer version is that I came in with suspected sciatica pain that was escalating from an 8 to a 10 so my nerve pain was extremely intense. After receiving some of the most unprofessional ‘assistance’ from a front desk staff at their radiology clinic, I thought I’d be able to get accessible prescription pick up as well as someone to go over my X-rays with me, at minimum. It seems the bare minimum is asking too much from this organization. After multiple calls with the clinic and multiple rude administrative staff, I finally spoke with the doctor I saw hours earlier who told me that none of my messages had been past on from my calls earlier in the day. Mind you, I was still coping with some of the most intense pain of my life. This tells me that either 1.) none of the staff I spoke to took my messages seriously enough to pass on or 2.) the staff forgot to pass on my messages or door number 3.) they don’t care enough to do so.I’d also gotten a call from a ‘patient care advocate’ by the name of Cecilia who wanted to follow up on my experience. After explaining to her that it had been a nightmare trying to get simple X-rays and prescriptions, she promised to call the clinic on my behalf to expedite things, and call me right back. It’s now been over an hour since I heard from Cecilia. When I attempted to call her back, it went straight to voicemail. At this point I’m wondering if I’ve just hallucinated her entirely.I have also not received any word concerning the status of my x-rays. At this point I assume it’s likely I never will. So I leave with no diagnostics, no prognosis, and prescriptions that I had to fight the entire day for.Never in my life have I been met with such animosity for advocating for my health and progressively more active ignoring from staff the more I tried to seek help or clarity. Do not waste your time, money, and certainly not your well being here.
This is my favorite express clinic. I checked in online, and to my surprise there was no wait once I arrived. The two nurse practitioners that assisted me were very kind and patient. They helped answer my questions and set me up for next steps. I needed to get blood drawn and Moses was helping me. He greeted me with the biggest smile and was so friendly and helpful the entire time. He made sure my insurance covered the services being done and even helped me chill out after I passed out while getting poked! Highly recommended this place. Gold star staff 🌟
A very efficient and professional facility at 3301 Ashland Avenue in Chicago. Dealt with my issue quickly and professionally.Brittany was great ,really caring and professional. Couldn’t ask for better service
Had a great experience. I was listened to and introduced to everyone very kindly. I had a few infections and they explained them very well to me, along with the anti biotics they put me on. I was here previously over a year ago, and the experience was the same. The staff is very sweet, patient, and kind
The entire staff here was extremely knowledgeable, quick, and friendly providing care. Great experience and would absolutely recommend this location!
It took less than 10 minutes to be seen. All the staff were friendly and respectful. However, I would have liked to have seen a doctor rather than a PA. I was not given my end of visit summary or told how to get it. I had to call to request it. I was not told upfront of the costs of the tests recommended just that it was up to my insurance to decide. But there was no one to talk to about costs.I got a second opinion from a doctor and received better recommendations (exercises that I could do in addition to tests) regarding my issue than what I received from the PA at this clinic.
This place is a lifesaver- literally! Everyone is so personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Even with higher patient volumes after the holidays, they still made me feel cared for. They do all kinds of labs and the lobby was clean and inviting! Definitely recommend!
Awesome neighborhood clinic. In/out quickly. Doctors who listen and are proactive about care. Highly recommended
Midwest Express Clinic has always been my to go to for an urgent care place! I love their hours which allows the flexibility for me to not miss work and still be able to go to to the clinic without rushing. I loved the cleanliness and friendly staff and I was attended quickly - in and out on a Friday afternoon! ☺️ They ran the necessary tests and explained everything and I got medication sent to my preferred pharmacy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would highly recommend! They accept a majority of insurance plans which is awesome!! 🏥⚕️🧑⚕️🩺😷
As a single parent, it’s very simple and easy to take kids under the age of 18 to get medical attention without taking a trip to the emergency room
Why do people need to check in online, invest time filling out all the information, only to have the front desk personnel ask for and input the same details again? I waited in line for 30 minutes while everyones information was resubmitted. The only reason for the 2-star rating instead of one is because the staff is exceptionally friendly.Go with another immediate care. Much faster!!!Representative from the corporate office, called and listen to my concerns Within two hours of me posting this review. Very nice to see.
This location has gone down hill. Severely understaffed. Lobby was dirty both times I came in. Receptionist had a mask on but on their chin. I asked if more where available and they said they would check and never did. I was also surprised to find out that they dont prioritize scheduled follow up appointments over walk ins. Whats the point of scheduling out a time if I have to wait 45 minutes anyway. Thats a very poor system. The doctors seem fine but the nurses also dont wear their masks properly and dont do a good job swabbing for tests. If you have to come here bring a blanket, book, and a mask. You could be waiting for up to 3 hours (including after they call you back)
I was in this clinic for the first time, but only pleasant impressions remained. Clean, spacious, calm atmosphere, without queues and waiting. And this was the first clinic in which an interpreter was connected to me by phone and I was able to clearly describe my symptoms and listen to the doctors conclusions.
Needed to get something checked out while I had an insurance lapse and the check in process was quick and easy. had to wait a bit to be seen by a PA but her assessment was quick and helpful and I really appreciated how up front she was about the costs that may be down the road for me of this issue continues. definitely recommend if youre in a pinch like I was!
**UPDATE**I was contacted by a representative of the clinic who stated that the bill I received in the mail was due to a clerical error. I’m a little skeptical, but they did refund the 100 dollars, so there’s that at least. If you get charged extra make sure to either leave a review (that’s how they knew about it) or better yet just call them. I’ve changed my review to reflect the refund, and the nurse who gave my my physical did a great job too.—-Original review below—-Was told a physical would be $60 which I paid upfront. A week and a half later I receive a bill for another $100 (total bill $160.00). Sounds about right.
The clinic is no where near me but they treat me so right they have become my go to. Short wait, availability to register on line. Everyone is friendly and compassionate. Just by walking in I felt better. With them I know I’m in good hands. I was giving medication and my diagnosed was explained clearly.
I felt so comfortable AT THE clinic such as the medical assistant Lisandra Reynoso made me feel so comfortable and welcoming thanks so much will be returning!
Made appointment and checked in online. Waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. The intake nurse was efficient and thorough. The provider ended up prescribing me something. When I went to the pharmacy, it notified me they do not have a contract with my insurance. So, I called MWE and they sent my prescription to another pharmacy. It was seamless and I’m so grateful for their service and availability on a Sunday. I’ve been going to them for years and it is always a good experience.
During my visit I interacted with 3 employees, all were very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and focused on providing care in a reasonable time window. The clinic was clean, warm, and welcoming, and the staff was helpful in communicating next steps for my recovery. Great experience.
I arrived after 5pm on Sunday when they close at 6 but they did not make me feel unwelcome. Quite the opposite. Everyone was kind, pleasant, and unrushed. I needed several stitches on my hand after a pretty bad glass cut. The PA who stitched me up did an amazing job and was also pretty cute 🥰.
Such a great experience. I went in for pain in my foot. The PA was awesome. She explained everything fully and they took an X-ray to ensure the diagnosis. I was out the door in 45 minutes. And I received a follow up call later in afternoon to see how I was doing.
Wait was not bad, got in within about 20 minutes of the time I registered for. Staff were friendly and professional. Jessica the NP was thorough and communicated the plan clearly and politely. MA was prompt and addressed questions. Overall good experience:)
I went here just yesterday around 4pm and my experience was great. I did not have to wait long, and Moses who did my blood work was so kind. The medical assistant I had was super sweet and did not make me feel uncomfortable at all.
I was shocked when I called and an actual human answered the phone and was able to answer my questions without even being put on hold. Then, when I arrived the staff was pleasant and helpful. On top of all of that they had the audacity to see me within 10 minutes, and got me in front of a Doc who was incredible. The nerve… of this place for being SO AWESOME!
The nurse never told me to see a doctor on the way out so they THREW out my urine. Very unprofessional and inappropriate. I have my social and insurance card on file with them and they told me I “wasn’t” in the system yeah that’s inaccurate don’t trust them with that. So upset that I took my time to make the appointment, wait for the appointment and be seen by a nurse for vitals when everything in the end was just a waste of time.
I waited an hour at this place after booking an appointment only to find out that they don’t have an x-ray person working there anymore. I blame the clinic for being shortstaffed but the people who work here are nice and professional. But I do find that they should really advertise the fact that there is no x-ray available when you make your appointment or at least warn you when you check in, so you don’t have to spend all day waiting then havd to go to another clinic. Since I went to another clinic, in Roscoe Village, I didn’t have my results Given to me there right away. I had to wait for a phone call hours later . Also, I’ve been to another urgent care that use the same appointment timeslot system and you only had to wait for 20 minutes max but Midwest express you will book a timeslot at 1 PM and they won’t even see you until after 2 PM so their appointment timeslot doesn’t really mean anything.
I recently came to this urgent care clinic on 1/03/24. Third day of the new year over some ear pain I was experiencing. I waited for about an hour or so to be seen which isn’t too bad. I always choose this clinic whenever the urgent care at my doctors office is closed for the day or if no one at my doctors office has any appointments available. Which happened to be the case. I was seen by Keya Lackey from the minute she stepped into the exam room I noticed something was off, I had explained my symptoms and how long I’ve had them for. I also explained some previous issues I was experiencing prior to seeing the clinic which was around 12/22 and how I was getting sick back to back due to some underlying health problems I have (diabetes and a low immune system) , she did the exam. Told me my ear pain was from liquid being behind my ear also known as a middle ear infection. I asked if I could get some antibiotics to see if that would help the issue but was also recommended to buy an OTC nasal spray that was a bit too much then recommended an alternative that was also a bit expensive so in hopes I’d get prescribed some ear drops to help ease the infection itself, I was not given anything. I called the clinic to speak to Keya Lackey. She had an attitude during the interaction itself. She told me to buy the OTC nasal spray or let the infection resolve on its own then hung up on me while I was trying to talk to her and figure out a solution. I bought the nasal spray and unfortunately it didn’t do much besides give me a killer headache so I made an appointment with my doctors office to figure out some options on what will ease the pain. Seen a different doctor than I normally see and had explained everything that has happened the day prior, she did a full exam and told me the infection was getting worse, she prescribed me some ear drops to kill the infection I had going on. Apparently according to the doctor I had seen urgent care centers are allowed to prescribe antibiotic ear drops so she’s not sure why Keya never gave me any as for waiting for the infection to go away on its own? It wouldn’t have been a good idea, I was a couple days away from having to go to the ER for an ear draining treatment. I’ve never had middle ear infections before but if Keya took the time to listen to my concerns and my health issues. I would’ve saved myself from writing this review. I talked to someone from the patient advocate department who was sweet and claimed they would report this to a higher department but in hopes of them doing that I have none. I don’t believe anything will be done for Keya Lackey’s behavior that day. I understand fully we all have bad days and we get overwhelmed especially during this time of year but to treat a human being with no respect or compassion is a bit ridiculous. I’ve worked in dental, I’ve had my fair share of overwhelming days and bad days but never once have I treated them with such zero respect. I hope something is done but if not then that’s very disappointing. I’m still unsure whether I feel comfortable using Midwest clinics again because of this experience but one things for sure, I’ve met some great doctors and staff at this location and it’s a shame someone ruined that for me.
I was so impressed with my first time at this clinic. I took my toddler there yesterday for a cough and an RSV test. I was also able to get a simultaneous appointment for myself to have an ear infection checked out! The wait was negligible and everyone was so nice. I went here because not many places do RSV testing but I would definitely go back again!
The PA (Brittany) was extremely attentive, professional and helpful. I phlebotomist was skilled. I felt confident in both.
I was really disappointed with my visit today, I decided to go here as my primary care physician does not have any appointments. I went by the great reviews , I should have read the 1 start one first.Somebody else has already mentioned that they treat you like a car in an oil change shop , except we are humans, not machines. They dont give you any information about your diagnostic or a receipt of payment. So you end up leaving with more questions than results. At least at the oil shop, you get a detailed list of what has been done to your car, with the proper information about it! What a joke! You need to request everything which is so odd since everywhere else you get details that can save your life later or if you end up having complications, since they use terminology we arent familiar with how are you expected to remember such a vital info. The test they did were poorly done. I am an EMT, so I do know what it is being done and how it should be done, since I suffer from strept that I had to get my tonsil removed. Tomorrow, I will be going to my primary care, and if, in fact, I have strep, I will be calling the clinic to make sure they properly train their staff. Because it is unfair to be paying for such a poorly job done. Will never be back here, though.
Ive gone to this clinic several times in the last couple years and its normally a great experience. This week, unfortunately, was a negative deviation from this pattern.I woke this week with terrible side pain. I googled that and some other symptoms and took an at home UTI test- it was positive. So I went to urgent care to have them prescribe me some antibiotics. It was incredibly busy (hello COVID surge) which is not their fault. At a certain point, it was so bad that they were no longer accepting walk ins. After about two hours I got called back. After initial check in and a urine sample, I got shown to room where I waited another 45 minutes with no one tellin) me what was going on.The doctor finally came back and told me my urinalysis came back totally negative for UTI. I was very confused by that. Instead she told me she thought I had kidney stones. As someone who drinks a ton of water and eats relatively cleanly, I was also confused by that. The only way of knowing was to do an ultrasound I was told. However, they didnt have that on hand that day so Id have to come back in the morning. The next day at 8am I showed up for my ultrasound. The tech was super nice and it was a fairly quick in and out. I was told Id get the results back in 12-24 hours. After the 24 hours had passed, I still didnt have answers so I called the office. The first person I spoke to told me that shed email them over. After about 2 hours, there was nothing. So I called back and was put on hold for about 20 minutes. I was on hold for so long the call timed out and I hit some sort of automated messaging. Again I call back and again Im told Ill be emailed the results and that the doctor will call and follow up with me. Another hour or two passes. Still nothing in my inbox or spam so I call back again. this time I ask for the results to be emailed to me while Im on the phone to ensure I actually get them. The results come back and show no kidney stones, no masses, nothing. Instead. It shows that my right kidney is swollen. No doctor ever called to give me an explainaton of what that means. So, I Google the cause of that and the options are basically: blockage, kidney stones or UTI. Based on ultrasound we know theres no blockage and no kidney stones.I went to the store and bought more UTI test strips. I take two more tests. Both are positive. I call urgent care back and tell them the situation and ask if the doctor can prescribe me something. She tells me that no, Ill have to come back in and be seen again before getting a prescription. I ask how long it would take to be seen and she tells me about an hour. But UTIs, as common as they are, are no joke and I need antibiotics asap. So I resorted to an online service to get meds fast and got them filled in under an hour.In short, this urgent care was not very urgent, or careful.
I called few other places before calling Midwest and they were the only ones that accepted walk ins no appointment needed. Went there for a dog bite yesterday. Cali, the girl at the front desk was very professional and polite. In under an hour I was done with my visit. Over all it was one of the best experiences I’ve had when it comes to immediate care. Definitely will be going back there if I need medical attention in the future.Ps. Make sure to wear something warm because it’s freezing in there.
Easiest walk in experience ever! The front desk person was extremely pleasant, I only waited about 10 minutes for my appointment and the doctor who saw me was super knowledgeable and kind! Definitely gonna be my go to place for any other walk in visits I may need.
My wait time was short, and all the staff (reception, medical assistant, and NP) were all so so friendly and helpful. I got tested for strep throat, my test results came back super quick and my prescription was ordered and ready to be picked up within an hour! The place was clean, and the staff prioritized sanitation of all surfaces. And to top it off parking was a breeze!! Overall, I had a wonderful experience.
My husband visited this location a few weeks ago for a leg injury. He had such a great experience, that when I needed to be seen I went for myself. The experience was fantastic! Ive already recommended to several people. The office was spotless, the staff was extremely pleasant and kind. The doctor I saw was very caring and had a great bedside manner (something thats incredibly important, but not seem enough!). She was very thorough, and personally scheduled a follow up for me. Our family will definitely be back!
Every time I have gone here I have not had an appointment and have been helped immediately. Everyone is extremely nice and I was able to get my necessary sports physical very easily.
I definitely recommend this place the staff is very nice and doctors are great customer service very nice staff it did not take long excellent service! They care about their patients.
Amazing customer service! I came in just before closing time in need of stitches from a kitchen accident. I was seen right away and the staff was professional and caring. A shout out to my practitioner Laura for taking care of me!
The worst experience ever. I checked in at 2:45pm and have yet to see a provider it’s 4:30pm. How hard is it to test urine for a UTI and prescribe a simple antibiotic. Jesus Christ there is something wrong with our healthcare system if we can provide the simplest of care. Nurses were rude and inexperienced it took front desk receptionist 15 minutes just to charge me my copay. They then just dumped me in a room and forgot i existed even though i asked twice what my wait time was. Unbelievable, go somewhere
Very friendly people.Great services. And provide you with the information needed to get you the help you need....
Very impressed with this clinic. I walked in on Sunday afternoon after having wrenched my knee. The waiting time was minimal before I saw a professional. He quickly evaluated my issue, and explained in detail how to treat the problem. Everything from start to finish was a breeze!
My family & I have been here a handful of times, and each experience has far surpassed our expectations! Online check-in has always streamlined our wait times (I think the longest I ever waited was in the morning soon after they had first opened, and that was only about 20-25 minutes). The staff & providers are all very kind and professional. The nurse practitioners we have seen (Caroline & Sydney are the ones who stand out in recent memory) were phenomenal- so compassionate, listened, and explained thoroughly. The providers are also AMAZING with children, which I wouldn’t normally expect when visiting a generalized practice. Took my 2-year old in for an ear infection, and she left with stickers, bubbles, and a smile on her face.Would absolutely recommend for an efficient visit and friendly, trustworthy providers!
Excellent! 1st time, very quick to see me, diagnose my issue, and give me direction/instruction for the solution!
I visited the Roscoe Village yesterday evening to have them take a look at a gash about an inch long inside my mouth. Long story short - the stairs won this battle. After completing forms, I was taken to the back in less than 10 minutes. I ended up getting 3 stitches, and the staff did an awesome job to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. They were also kind enough to give me apple juice and a cold pack before sending me home.
The practitioners were professional and kind. they were thorough in their diagnosis and treatment!
The young lady answering the phone at Roscoe location was very patient and polite! Upon arriving the registration process was quick and painless. The waiting area was extremely clean! And smelled disinfected. Even the furniture surfaces was clean too. The medical assistant Ryan, was impressingly efficient but still caring and very pleasant. Our Care physician Brittany Thompson was incredibly thorough in her examination and thoughtful with my 2 children. We were so lucky to find MWEC! We had been turned away that evening from 2 other places who claim to be immediate care but no longer taking walk ins! Here, there was availability and no PRE appt necessary! Their hours are convenient and welcoming! I highly recommend MWEC. Dont waste your time at those other big name hospital affiliates when you can get reliable, safe and quality care just the same. The kids even got complimentary juices on way out and lolipops! Happy healthcare! Well be back when the occasion arises.
Very friendly staff, no wait on a Sunday. I went to advocate’s minute clinic first and had the opposite experience
They treated me very well and I didnt have to wait long. They are very nice.
Very frustrating. I went in on a Monday and was told there was no Xray availability at that particular location that day. Was told I could come back on Saturday for the Xray. After waiting 45 in one of the rooms I was informed by a different person who works there that they no longer have Xray capability indefinitely. Youd think that everyone at that facility would know that and not have me schedule another visit. I wouldnt recommend.
Love the clinic! they have parking in the back, The clinic was very clean, great music, The staff was amazing, I was in and out in less than an hour and I was definitely not rushed.
I made my appointment on line I did not have to wait long got call took care of me was in and out fast. My medication was at my place soon after the appointment great place .
Visited the clinic with my 10 year old. The staff were very efficient and so kind. There were 4 people that arrived around the same time and everyone was back in rooms very quickly. Will definitely use again.
Really kind staff! Super helpful. Only one provider on staff but they set everything up so nicely and kept things moving as quick as possible despite the wait
Weird place. After getting into a room the 1st question someone asked me was, what tests would you like to order today? If I am sick enough for a doctor, I am coming to you for help. Why on earth do I determine what tests are needed for me? I selected 2 tests that came back negetive and they gave me a steroid presciption with no diagnosis. This was a week ago and I still am not much better. They can genuinly answer zero questions about how they bill anything. Trust the other terrible reviews. I have insurance and had to pay an Urgent care deductible to treat myself. 1000% dont recommend. Try an actual doctors office.
I go here for periodic b12 shots. Even with a pretty full waiting room they are quick to get you in and out. With my insurance (BCBS PPO) they are only $10… I truly don’t think there is a better health related deal in town. Staff is lovely and kind. Clean and comfortable waiting room, plenty of parking. I didn’t think I would ever be writing a 5 star review for an urgent care but they are deserving of it.
I would definitely come back here everyone was great! I didn’t have to wait to make an appointment and the staff was wonderful! My first experience here was awesome! Thank you!
Came in for a last minute appointment on a Sunday and was taken in very quickly. Jessica was very attentive and ran through many tests and ordered labs. After my appointment she also told me exactly what days she was working so I could follow up and see her again. I usually never have the option to follow up at other urgent care centers. I left confident that I was assessed thoroughly.
There was a longer wait than expected but the front desk informed me of this. When I was treated it was efficient, courteous and kind.I always appreciated the ease of getting in to Midwest Express Clinic in Roscoe Village.
From checking in at the front desk to meeting with the medical technician to meeting with the doctor, everyone was polite, professional and thorough. Thank you for another great experience at Midwest Express clinic!
This is the best experience Ive had at a immediate care clinic in a long time!! I was seen quickly, everyone was friendly, its very clean with a knowledgeable doctor and Ryan, the medical tech was the best!
The wait times are very low thanks to the convenient online scheduling and the front desk staff is also courteous.I have been here previously and was treated appropriately for the condition I went in for. However, upon going in for a skin problem last Saturday, the doctor that I met was confident that antibiotics would help the issue and I currently did not need any other assistance.2 days later the problem has worsened quite a bit and I am currently sitting in pain unable to move freely.I wish they had taken more care with trying to address the concern so that i didnt pay $75 in copay for absolutely no help and more agony.
Had food poisoning bad, they took me within 20 minutes on a busy day and gave me an IV and made sure I was good , really good providers. Also made sure to put me on the calender for a follow up, no ones ever done that with me before so efficiently!
I had a great experience I was in and out with no wait time after registering/checking in online. The staff was incredibly kind and sweet and the MA on duty took the time to update my charts with my preferred name and made my experience so enjoyable. Love love love this location I’ll absolutely be coming by again
I never received my results for the ultrasound appointment by email or any other form.
I had a very pleasant experience at the roscoe village location. Staff was very pleasant. Clinic was very clean. Was in and out within 45 min or less. I was seen by Sidney Miller and she was absolutely lovely and informative. Would highly recommend coming here for your non emergent needs!
Great prices for those uninsured. All in all I was there for about an hour on a Friday morning. Not too bad! The medicine prescribed to me was also very affordable. Will definitely be recommending!
It was not busy and I was seen quickly and everything seemed efficient.
I was grateful with how everything went, from the nurse and the doctor. Also I was accepted really quick, even though it was my first time. When I got in I explained everything to the nurse, then later I told the doctor what was happening, then she explained things to me after doctor was done with everything. So, glad I went there.
Great service. Staff was very friendly. I was in and out efficiently. Thanks
Wonderful care, staff is so nice, doctor was very attentive and takes concerns seriously.
Staff very nice and thorough. Systems issue as I’d been there before but they had no record of it. Likely result of merger/acquisition of the Doc in the Box that was there before. That said, wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
I have had to go to go to the Midwest Express Clinic three times in the past year. Twice I logged into the site to schedule an appointment —- so easy. The one time that I didn’t pre-schedule, I was seen immediately as none was in the waiting room. The first time I went, the doctor suspected that I had a blood clot and immediately referred me to a facility for an ultrasound. The second time I needed stitches, and the third time I needed a prescription. Everyone there —-the receptionist, the assistant, and the doctor are courteous and professional and demonstrate quality care in attending to your medical needs. I highly recommend this facility for any medical care.
Editing my review. The last few times Ive been here the wait times in the waiting room have been fine but Ive waited over an hour for test results in a doctors visit room. There is a new doctor there that needs a lot more training also. He couldnt see my daughters obvious ear infection while his supervisor could. I appreciate them training a new doctor but honestly, an urgent care is not the place to do it. Urgent means in and out to me. Not waiting 2 hrs after being seen for follow-up and prescription.
Super clean and seemed to be a very efficient office. The Nurse Practitioner was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.
Made an 8:05 am appointment so I could get in quickly since they open at 8. The whole of Chicago is sick and there were literally people waiting for them to open. I was in and out quickly. Everyone was very nice and they sent my prescriptions to my pharmacy for filling.
Very clean facility, efficient process. I had a very bad upper respiratory infection and the doctor and team were very caring and helpful in terms of treatment and medications prescribed to help me get better. Definitely recommend.
Had a great experience. Was in and out in 45 minutes. The staff was so kind and the doctor who treated me was very reassuring and validating. So grateful to have a clinic like this in the neighborhood for quick, quality care!
Had a seamless experience yesterday at Midwest Express. No wait. Friendly and efficient staff. Tested positive for flu so doctor explained my options and really listened to my concerns. Prescribed medication for days of rest and for workdays, (non-drowsy option) and couldn’t have been more helpful. This was my second visit to this clinic and both have been seamless. A++
This was the best clinic I’ve ever visited. The wait times were average; I could tell they were very busy (peak Covid testing time), but once I was signed in, they got to me in about 15 minutes. Everything was clean and orderly. The practitioner who saw me listened to and understood my issue right away. She was incredibly empathetic and decisive. I could tell that she was doing everything she could to make the experience convenient. She put my prescription order in as fast as she could, told me how I could get my test results without having to come back in, and gave me a ton of helpful information, while answering all my questions. I was so thankful to feel like everything I had to say was heard and considered. I definitely left with the appropriate treatment and will be recommending this place to all of my friends who need a quick doctors visit.
The staff was really nice and I was in and out in less than 15mins.
Rarely am I so impressed with the whole staff. But my experience here was phenomenal. Despite how busy they were the front desk, medical assistants and Dr. Leah were exceptional. Thanks for providing excellent care and not being dismissive like so many offices have now become.
Great experience! I was there for a bad cold and was in and out in under 20 minutes with a prescription for the CVS in target across the street. The provided, nurse, and front desk staff were all incredibly friendly and great listeners!
Went there for a cut finger. The receptionists were great, friendly and professional. After filling out paperwork, I was seen within 10 (maybe less) minutes by LPN/RN Cara. She was also great and patched me up in no time. I went there with no appointment with a bleeding finger and left within 20 minutes. Thank you ladies, you rock and whatever they are paying you, you deserve a raise!
It was really easy to set up an appointment quickly! The staff was were really helpful and kind. It was also really easy to check out with a card on file when it was time for me to leave. Very efficient!
Dr and front end ladies were fantastic and the pa was good by being attentive. The staff was extremely patient and I feel they are great medical professionals!
I stopped by after my PCP told me they couldnt fit me into their schedule. I had an emergency and burned my finger! I went to this location and they took care of me on the spot. They provided the cream that I knew I needed! (without a problem). To make sure my wound heels the right way, they booked a follow up appointment with no questions asked. Love it!
Midwest Clinic at 3301 N Ashland was wonderful! Everyone was professional, knowledgeable and kind. The clinic is clean and comfortable. My vitals, medications, etc. we’re all taken and logged in before anything was done. My staples in a scalp laceration were removed quickly and efficiently, no discomfort at all! I would not hesitate to go back to or recommend this clinic.
Love their approach to medicine. It was super quick and efficient, and the PA I saw was so collaborative with me about my daughter’s visit. It felt like I had a say, not like being bossed around by your doctors, like it felt when we were growing up.
I had an excellent experience here bringing in my two sick kids. From scheduling online to being seen quickly in the clinic, my family and I were treated so well by all the staff. We will definitely be back again in the future.
The clinic is very organized and efficient. The physician knowledge was excellent and they were able to quickly address a major laceration on my finger. A friend went a week later and had a similarly good experience for general discomfort. This will be my new go-to for prompt immediate care.
I thought the facility and the staff were amazing and so nice! Deducing stars because I called prior to scheduling an appointment to ensure what I had addressed would be covered by my insurance. They assured me it would be. It was not. Additionally, the codes they submitted to my insurance were incorrect and conflicting, causing my bill to be incredibly higher than anticipated. This bill is not something I am able to afford and am quite distraught, I feel mislead and taken advantage of, be warned.
From the second I walked in the office everyone was so kind. They listened and answered like they genuinely care about me, which is usually not what you get from an urgent care. They didn’t rush me in and out of the room so they could get through people as quick as possible. They really took their time to ask questions and make me feel comfortable. At the end the GP told me her schedule so if I wanted to see her specifically when I came back for me follow up I could. She then gave me the information to tell the next doctor if I decided to come in on a day she wasn’t working. Such an easy and pleasant experience. 10/10 would recommend.
From check-in through my visit it was top notch service! Dealing with a skin issue and the clinician knew how handle. Happy to report I’ve seen some healing ❤️🩹 already!Thank you team!
Not open 7 days a week from 8-8…misleading.
I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough! With available parking it is very convenient. When you enter the lobby it is very clean and the staff very friendly with an immediate greeting to you. The seats are spaced far enough apart for social distancing but there are plenty to be had. The examining room was also clean and had comfortable accommodations and a TV to watch while I was waiting. X-rays are also available on site which saved me time from going to another location and helped get a rapid diagnosis on my shoulder. My nurse practitioner Michael could not have been any nicer or more concerned. I felt a level of comfort with him that usually takes years to develop with your physician. Keep up the great work, I will be back again!!! 👍👍
I love this urgent care clinic, they’ve treated me so well.I was seen so quickly, listened to, and taken seriously. Which doesn’t happen often as both a fat person, and a person on Medicaid.I’ve recently decided to make them my PCP which is such an amazing option. They also have a parking lot, online check-in, and just extremely kind and professional staff.
I had to get a covid test the other day, luckily I was negative, but it was my first time at the Midwest Express clinic, and if I may say, they surely live up to their name. I was in and outvery quickly, the paper work didnt take long at all. The staff was rather friendly and made the experience worth while. I forgot the ladys name at the front counter but she was really cool and made me laugh, my nurse Sarah really seemed to take passion in what she does, and the doctor I saw showed immense concern for my well being. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in the area, you will not be disappointed!
I’ve been to Midwest Express a few times now and they’ve been great every visit. The staff are genuinely caring and kind! I do have insurance, but I noticed they are very transparent about their costs for out-of-pocket patients which I know can be super helpful. Highly recommend if you need to see a doctor on short-notice.
Do not go to this place! Their billing department keeps sending invoices for services that are included in my insurance. When I try to call them to clear up the matter, you are on hold for 20-30 minutes with no call back option. I have never spoken to anyone live in the 5 or 6 times I have called. When I call the clinic, they keep giving you the run around. They claim they will take care of it and then I get another bill for the same service date for the same amount. $445 for COVID and flu testing! They claim they will talk to someone higher up and will not provide their contact information or anything else. I have insurance which covers testing of COVID and flu. If there was any question regarding this insurance, they should not have done the tests in the first place at the time I visited the clinic. This is an issue that would be easily resolved if someone picked up the phone, and provided appropriate customer service.***Addition: As you can see, they reply with a boilerplate template and dont even provide a number that you can call them back to fix the issue! Unbelievable.
Midwest Express Clinic’s location on Ashland Ave. is my family’s go-to medical clinic. With each visit, they are attentive, and we are in and out in no time, being provided with our test results in an efficient manner right there on the spot or shortly after and always provide the kindest attention. (You can even sign up for the waitlist online!) They prioritize their customers and the entire experience with every visit is why we continue and will continue choosing them as our first choice when needing anything related to medical attention. We’re thankful for the team!
Great hours and location, clean bright facilities. Receptionist was friendly and helpful while checking me in and checking my insurance. The initial examiner Kelly was friendly and efficient taking my vitals and other exams. The physician Lauren had a great bedside manner further examining me, explaining my results and discussing a treatment plan. It wasn’t busy so I was in and out in under 30 minutes and by the time I walked to Jewel my prescription was already ready! I highly recommend.
Suspected I was coming down with Covid for the first time and scheduled a test. Quickly got the result (positive) and had a brief consult with a Doctor/Advisor who gave me sheet with over the counter supplement recommendations, for vitamins, zinc and Liquid IV for hydration/electrolytes. My flu-like symptoms were moderate for 2 days, but within 4 days they had largely dissipated. I received timely, helpful, courteous and kindly service.
The most terrible experience so far, they dont give you any paperwork or anything to explain to you what your diagnostic is. feels like they want you to leave as soon as possible so they can keep seeing more patients. If you want quality care, go somewhere else. Save your money.
My visit from start to finish was even more than I expected. The staff members were excellent and my reason for coming was addressed professionally and successfully. The facility was immaculate and very welcoming. Thank you to all!
Ive been here twice for medical needs and both times the staff was Friendly, Helpful and got me started to get back on the road to recovery. Highly recommended ❤️
My mother an I were sick at the same time and happened to go to urgent care at 2 different locations. She went to some other one on the south side and I read the reviews to this one near me and decided to come here. I was in and out in under an hour while my mom was standing in line to sign in for 3 hours. Huge difference, I recommend she come to this one going forward, and I recommend anyone else come to this one as well.
Everyone was kind & professional, got my prescription to the pharmacy before it closed for the holiday. Thanks!
On two separate occasions, the company charged me a $85 copay that I did not need to pay as I had met my out of pocket deductible through my insurance. The receptionist claimed I would be reimbursed once my claim was processed, but after several attempts to get the money back months later the company just gives several excuses as to why they cant refund the money yet. The health care providers didnt seem very competent. I went in for a routine issue that needed antibiotics to treat. They misdiagnosed me and then the next day when my symptoms worsened, they wouldnt return my calls as promised or put me on hold forever until I was disconnected. I just needed a simple prescription called in to my pharmacy. This place used to be good, but I dont think I will ever go back again.
Everyone was amazing .When I first entered, even the woman at the front desk was so nice and helpful and great to be around while I waited. And the wait wasn’t very long at all.The nurse who evaluated me was so sweet and listened very thoroughly to everything - and there was a lot to listen to because of everything that’s been going on with me in the pandemic, so it was so thoughtful and kind on top of doing a great job. Then the Nurse Practitioner came in and she could have very easily misdiagnosed or spoke down to me but instead she listened so carefully and was very empathic. That’s when the nurse came back in to take my blood — which I hate doing because I hate needles and I have literally had to have like 13 vials of blood taken over the past week at the hospital (which was done by some incompetent dude who left me with bruises that I STILL have a week later). She was patient while I brought up some soothing music on my phone because I knew it was gonna hurt because she had to use one of the same veins as last week. She was very good with the needle and left no extra marks or pain or bruises in a place that was already sensitive. Honestly I’m really impressed. When we were done, I saw stickers and asked if I could have one and she immediately said yes if it would make me feel better (I’m 31) so I picked a Spider-Man one. And it definitely did make me feel better.I was out quickly after and very happy with the service and the kindness. Highly recommend.
Registration was easy. I recommend using your phone vs a laptop to register. A text was sent to me 15 min prior that the appointment time was approaching. We called the clinic from the parking lot to notify our arrival and the receptionist was kind, and very detailed in instructions. The nurse who administrated the test was very calm and assured us it was not going to hurt. She was correct. The Provider was great . He was very clear with his updated information on COVID-19, especially how it applied to our situation. We are expected to have our results in 3 to 5 days of testing. Seamless process, plan about 30-40 min at the most from start to finish. Also the Clinic was very clean and I felt very safe being there.
Super great experience here. I had to go here for covid screening. They are efficient at time Management to see patients simultaneously thoughtful in asking questions / sharing details on next steps for health plan. I’ve had the best experience with this clinic over others for seasonal screening for flu / cold / covid / strep.
This was a very good visit. Very professional medical Team and prompt service. The team here appeared to care for their patients, they were kind and their practice was aligned with the Do No Harm, Harm reduction and all the medical practice progressive precepts!
After several visits I can say that I have the utmost confidence in the facilitys professionalism and staffs medical assessment. I prefer this facility far and above over any pharmacy doc in the box. I wont even waste my time with them unless it is a matter of scheduling and needing quicker accommodation but to be honest havent had those issues here anyway. Highly recommended for basic services, COVID TESTING and immunization.
The best urgent care experience I’ve ever had. Everyone was efficient, kind, and helpful. The office is also very clean. Despite being busy, they talked me through everything thoroughly and made sure I felt taken care of. Definitely a great alternative if you can’t see your PCP.
Poor customer service. Innovative down the street have much nicer staff.
I went to this location to get a routine medical procedure done for a chronic condition. In order to do this, I took a full sick day off of work in order to find a solution to my health emergency. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I was told that my appointment was on hold because the electronic verification system to confirm my insurance was taking a long time--eventually I was then informed that my insurance was inactive and/or not in their network. This is not true, as I am on a United Health Care insurance plan provided by my graduate school institution. During this same visit, I even personally called my insurance company 2x to confirm that this urgent care business and location was in my network. During both of the times that I called, the advisors for each call positively confirmed that this place was indeed in-network. Both advisors also prompted me to redirect the front receptionist to call the provider number that was explicitly written on my insurance card so that this location could directly confirm the acceptance of my insurance as well. The receptionist refused to call that number! After inquiring why, she told me that we just dont do that here. During my second call to my insurance company, which the this locations receptionist also interestingly advised me to do, my advisor even offered to conduct a 3-way phone call in order to speak directly to the receptionist and confirm that my insurance covers care from this location. The receptionist still refused! She said that there was something wrong with the ID number, but it apparently wasnt an issue when I decided to travel to a different business to complete my urgent care needs under the same insurance card. I understand that she might be busy servicing other customers, and I tried to be patient with that, but why in the world would this urgent care location not even bother to call the provider number listed on the insurance card?!? After reading other google reviews for this location, I see that this situation has happened more than this once. The only other offer that the receptionist shared with me was to complete the medical visit without insurance listed, which would cause me to pay more money than I probably needed, and then attempt to receive a reimbursement later on. I couldnt risk losing out on the money that Ive already paid my insurance in that manner, so I went down the street to be successfully serviced as Physicians Immediate Care thereafter. I absolutely will not recommend that others go to this location as well.
Overall poor experience. Called about booking an appointment and they said they are walk in but I could go online and book an appointment where it says “check in”which is very confusing. Decided to go to a neighborhood immediate care due to feeling absolutely horrible. I asked them to send any lab work to Labcorp specifically due to my insurance coverage and during check in I let them know and they said ok. I got into my appointment and they refused as they use Quest. This has never been a problem for the 5 years that I have been on the same insurance plan. Any clinic especially large enough ones have made this work. I spoke to Labcorp and they were set up with the capability to send to Labcorp and were more than happy to assist. I asked if they had a manager I could speak with who could maybe help and I was told they don’t have a manager. So I guess there is no one who keeps things in order and schedules etc. waited an hour and half to be seen on top of it. I was unable to be properly diagnosed and treated if any cultures were to be done for potential strep throat now because I would have a higher out of pocket cost for further lab work. Customer service is key when working in the healthcare industry and to say the least I was extremely disappointed here.
Went for urgent illness that did not require emergency room. The receptionist was rude, inattentive and slow at her job. After waiting over 20 minutes, was told my insurance was inactive (not true as I had just used it for an appointment, and insurances stay active until January of the following year). She didnt even bother calling the insurance company to confirm. I tried to call myself but it was after hours and there was only a messaging system for consumers at that point. She did not even bother discussing any additional options with me.
Great friendly service. Never a problem getting in and seeing someone.
My first time experience at Midwest Express Clinic was very good in all areas; location, parking, wait time, pleasant, professional, caring staff and doctor who was interested, a good listener, respectful of my wishes and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely go back, make an online appointment and request the same doctor.
I had a wonderful experience when I was sick. The staff was kind and really helped calm me down. Marvina specifically was truly incredible and everything someone in the medical field should be. I can’t thank her enough!!!
When finding this urgent care clinic online & making the appointment a day before, I got a confirmation page of my appointment that read “this is not your actual appointment time it is an estimated time that cuts your wait time by 50%”(so basically 1st come, 1st serve basis but it is beneficial to fill out forms online ahead of time & save that appointment-hour time slot).I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment & only had to wait a couple of minutes to be seen. There is only one person working at the front desk, answering phones & helping patients check in/out but she was very polite, quick & professional. The first nurse I saw & the nurse practitioner were very friendly, welcoming, and professional. The nurse practitioner sent over my Rx to the CVS in Target across the street and even included Good Rx discounts. I plan to use this clinic again in the near future.
My family and I came to the clinic for COVID testing. Our experience was great. Every staff member we interacted with was wonderful. The staff member who took our vitals was amazing with my four year old and very patient. The PA who administered our tests was extremely friendly, informative, and warm. My four year old enjoyed the clinic so much that he keeps asking to go back to the place that was really fun. Highly recommend the Roscoe Village location to anyone.
Fast, easy, reliable. Midwest was able to check us in, see our son, give me a b12 shot and call in a px to the Target across the street in 30 minutes. Absolutely awesome staff. Fantastic all around!!! Our go to for sure.
Very satisfied with the service, the health provider took her time to check me and also make enough questions to diagnose my problem, Medicine start working the next day I started taking my medicine, she makes me feel confortable, Good service!!Thank you!!!!The only thing It will be Nicer if the front desk girl be more friendly or polite,
The first time I went there very polite and nice persons. Good doctors.Very clean also.I like the kindness it was an immediate care appointment but I recommend it any one who needs it.Keep doing great!Thank you!
Great guy at reception, for starters. Then, seen by Brittany Thompson PA-C. She was terrific. So knowledgeable, so thorough. Great.
Adding to my review. (This part is from March 2023) Took my daughter in for a sore throat. They did testing for flu and strep and the initial tests came back negative but 3 days later after the more thorough one came back positive the Doctor called me personally and talked through what to do. Again, found the care givers here to be caring, thoughtful but also through.(Not sure when this is from, some time in 2022) Took my daughter to get a COVID test (which came back negative) and the whole experience was stellar. I registered for an appointment online and was able to do my paperwork online ahead of time. I called when got there and they let us in a secluded door. The Medical Assistant and Nurse Practitioner were both great and put my daughter at ease. Highly recommend this place and my daughter wants to go back.
Really great compassionate service. I had just gotten back from overseas and didn’t have my ID on me and they were gracious to accept a photo of my passsport for proof of Birthday.
I came in feeling very ill and was seen quickly. Reception was friendly and warm, and the nurse and doctor were both attentive, personable, and very professional. The whole process put me at ease and I really appreciated it. I would definitely come back.
I am so impressed with how quickly we were seen, how friendly and thorough the front desk receptionist was, and how amazing the practicioners were. They truly listened. The practicioner took her time explaining her medical opinion, why she came to that conclusions, tests administered, procedures, and follow up recommendations. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, and sympathetic. The practicioner did not rush through the appointment-- Overall an unbelievable experience! Thank you so much for helping us when we were in need!
Best clinic experience I have had. It was clean, lots of staff, I got in quickly, they actually listened to what I had to say, and ran no unnecessary tests. This is how you do it.
The doctors here are so wonderful. Both Christina and Michael have taken care of me recently. It meant a lot to speak with someone so kind when I wasn’t feeling well. I also went previously for COVID issues and the doctor was compassionate and very proactive. In addition the front desk staff are so lovely. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, this place is the best.
I came terribly sick thinking I had covid. The staff treated me extremely nice despite me lookin so sickly. As a walk-in I was surprized how quickly I was in and out.Turns out it was just a really bad cold. Thank You Midwest!!
I really appreciate this immediate care group, location, staff and doctors. They handle my needs so efficiently and they get me back to a healthy state and life quickly. Easy online appointments and follow ups. They offer many services for your healthcare and it’s convenient to Northside residents. Happy patient.
Very pleased with my first visit to the Midwest Express Clinic. The staff was super nice, easy to work with, and professional from start to finish. I was able to get the medication I needed that would have taken time to get if I needed to make an appt. with my actual physician. I recovered as expected and on time. I will go back to this clinic and Id 100% recommend!
Scheduled my walk-in an hour ahead for a first time visit and was seen as planned. Efficient, friendly and attentive staff got me in and out quickly. Thank you!
I was so grateful for this clinic and the kind staff when I showed up with a painful ear infection. The process was very easy for me to check in and be seen. The NP, Michael, was very friendly to me and other patients I saw him interacting with in the lobby. The only downside was the music in the lobby was loud and not very relaxing, but maybe it was just because my ear was very sore. Overall, I would recommend this place to friends and family!
I came in with a small laceration on my chin and Leah did an amazing job stitching it up. I highly recommend coming to this clinic for all your health needs. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming.
The receptionist was friendly and helpful. My wait time was less then 1/2 hour and the Doctor I had was so kind. She made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. She even set up a follow up appointment in the case that my symptoms were not improving. My experience at Medspring was better in so many ways in comparison to my experience with Northwestern Immediate Care. I would highly recommend.
Great experience from the moment I walked in the door was greeted immediately from the front desk nurse who was so nice. The nurse and Doctor who were attending were amazing and so much fun!I would highly recommend them if you are in need of immediate care. Nice to know that they’re open on a Sunday evening until 8 o’clock where everyone else closes early. You will not regret going here for help!
I’ve been to this location many times now, and it’s always a really great experience. I use their online booking to reserve a space in line, and it works well, there is never much of a wait. The staff is always friendly and caring, too, which is a big reason I go here even though it’s not the closest place I could go for immediate/urgent care. There’s a NorthShore place about 5 mins from me, whereas it’s about 15 mins to get to this Midwest Express Clinic. Well worth the extra time to be able to be served by this excellent staff.
Easy access(and free)parking, clean and comfortable waiting room, short wait time, open 7 days a week, kind reception, and good care, make this a great place to go, when you are not feeling well! Also, less expensive fees for self pay, and the fact they take CareCredit, and offer expansive services, will make this my go to place for medical care!
I saw Micheal today and he was absolutely amazing and was so helpful trying to get to the root of my fatigue after I passed a perfectly healthy physical wellness exam. And listened to all my questions and concerns!.The receptionists and assistants here are also all very sweet!.I will definitely be coming back to this location if I have any future health concerns and would recommend them to friends!.Their hours also work with my tight schedule and I’m able to get in before work which is also incredible!.
I felt comfortable, in the waiting room. And when I entered, they treated my wound very well. I would recommend Midwest Express Clinic
Lisandra is the best nurse for my toddler, and makes sure to treat my sons rabbit stuffy first and then my son.
Unfortunately I had a super frustrating experience with this urgent care. The medical staff were very good so no complaints there, but the front off administration REALLY let this place down.First, I stopped in Tuesday with my 2 year old son. After he was checked out I went across the street to Target CVS to pick up the prescription the supposedly sent there. The CVS has not received it so I called back Midwest Express. They said they would sent it over again soon but the PA is with a patient right now. I asked for a call to confirm it was sent so I wasnt stopping at the CVS desk every 5 mins. FORTY FIVE minutes later, after trying to entertain a sick 2 year old child the prescription turned up at the CVS. I never got that a call from Midwest Express to let me know.I then called Midwest Express yesterday at 11am to let them know my Daycare would need a note from their office to say it was safe to send my child back to Daycare (per the PA the previous day). Monica took my message and said they would send that over next time the medical staff was between patients. SEVEN HOURS LATER at 6pm I called back as I had still not received the note via email. Monica again answered, apologized and after I explained that I absolutely need it to drop off my kid at 7:30am the following day she guaranteed me I would have it by 8pm when the center closes. I asked her to confirm where she was sending the email and she said the email they had on file for me. 8pm came and went and no email. I called back today for an explanation before posting this message as I didnt want to be leaving a poor review when I feel my child did get good medical care, but the girl I spoke with this morning said the reason the email didnt get sent is because they didnt have an email on file for me (WTH! didnt I ask to confirm that yesterday on the phone?). I asked why they didnt call me then to get it or let me know, and apparently the number they had on file for me was incorrect. Seriously. So unfortunately I give this place 2 stars just because I feel the medical staff to saw my son were very good, but its hard to trust a place with you or your families health when they are so careless like this. There is really NO excuse for this sort of thing other than carelessness.
Receptionist is awesome so pleasant and friendly very helpful. Wait time between 4-8 mins. Looking forward to my next visit as always.
I paid my co-pay, and paid a bill from the lab and thought that all was settled. Imagine my surprise when five weeks later, my debit card was charged. The clinic told me to call the billing company; the billing company told me the clinic entered my address wrong so I never received a bill or statement of charges. So my card was charged my card with no notice.
I always have a good experience at this location every time I come. I have been here four times and each visit was a moderate wait considering it’s walk-in based, but besides that, they employ a wonderful staff of nice! Medical professionals. Definitely recommend the Ashland location.
The employees were fast, polite, and efficient with a quick in take and getting me into an exam room. Sidney was professional and very kind!
I normally don’t like doctor offices and this location made me feel so comfortable. I felt zero judgement and full support during my visit. My doctor spoke honestly and compassionately.
Made an appointment, called when I arrived and waited a short time before someone came to get me for my COVID test. Super quick and easy and the person I had made me feel super comfortable! Staff was excellent and I was in and out in no time. Awaiting my results now but the process was great!
I really hate giving this location one star, as the doctor and nurse practitioner were knowledgeable and extremely friendly. HOWEVER, management of the wait times and waiting rooms was borderline negligent. I got in line via the online system at approx. 7:30 a.m. for an 8:55 a.m. time slot. I sat with my six-year-old in an overly crowded waiting area for 45 minutes before being called back at 9:40 a.m. When I say overly crowded, multiple people were forced to stand or sit on the floor. Meanwhile, one of the patients waiting was coughing up a storm as the rest of us shot one another glances. It was clearly not her fault for being sick, but if you are visibly/audibly exhibiting COVID symptoms, you should be placed in a quarantined waiting area - whether that be in your own car or a private room. Ive been to several other urgent clinics in the city during COVID (usually for return to school testing from trips), and Ive never experienced this type of wait or overcrowding. Another mom seated next to me left with her child, as she did not feel safe (we discussed it prior to her departure). If I had not been next in line at the time, I would have done the same. I really do feel sorry for the staff, as they were lovely. But I wont be returning to this clinic.UPDATE: As requested by the owner, I did call and left a voicemail in hopes of helping the clinic improve upon its procedures to keep patients safe. Unfortunately, I never received a call back.
The Entire staff - from reception, to nurse and then medical provider - was efficient, professional and put us at ease. Sydney in particular was an outstanding provider and I will recommend this location to my friends and family without hesitation.
